Do Kids have too much Homework I think kids have way too much homework a lot of them get in trouble for not finishing it that puts stress on these kids which makes them super stressed out so they have to stay up later and now they're sleep deprived so they don't get as much work done in school now they have to stay up later and i know what you're thinking if they had got it done at school this wouldn't be a problem but each class only gets 58 min tops which is not a lot of time and at lunch the kids have to eat some schools have advisory but that is still only 58 min tops which makes kids even more stressed out the students are not to blame the school board, teachers, and staff are i mean kids are killing themselves because of this stress
so do what you can please help these poore kids out and save their lives this is not good for them it is hurting you mentally and physically if you don't believe me ask a kid they will tell you so do what you can and help. Because the kids are hurting and no one takes them seriously they need time to themselves to do what they want but they can't because of all the homework which i say again it stress them out really really bad for their health so what else can i say really nothing but this if you want kid to get a good job in the future and be healthy don't give them homework just let them take home the work they didn't finish and let them have fun and sleep pleas for the kids of the future and for your future let them be them and not have so much homework thank you for letting me share

When you think about school one of the first things that pops into people’s mind is homework. Basically if you have asked your parents or your grandparents they would say that they remember the homework load. Now we all know that homework can be beneficial but also can be very unhealthy with all of the stress that it causes. Over the years the homework load has increased because of the fact that schools think that they need to try to keep up with other countries in academics. And will doing all of this homework now be all for nothing later? The homework load has increased these past couple of years and it is causing a lot of stress on kids and overall is not helping their academics in the long run.
Many people often say that students, teachers, and parents, think homework should be banned, but multiple people disagree. This heated topic has been debated for many years. Some parents and teachers think students have too much. However, some believe their students receive too little. Few schools already have banned homework, but the majority of schools don’t. Some people agree with having ten minutes multiplied by the grade level of the student. As experts continue adding additional facts about homework, it is clear that homework can help students in different ways.
Albert Einstein once said “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that is it stupid.” Sir Ken Robinson stated that schools are destroying children 's creativity with their curriculum, there are many facts that support this idea. Students are required to think a specific way, prepare the way teachers want them to be prepared. Students also have their own opinion, because they are not afraid to be wrong, and need a way to move forward.
Going to school is something that children do at a young age. The idea of school is ingrained into children at as early as six weeks of age in a daycare. As the child grows older they enter elementary school, middle school, and then high school. Within the schools there are students, administrative staff, nurses, volunteers, and of course teachers. Then questions are asked. What really is the purpose of school? How can a teacher gain student’s attention when they are thinking about things outside of school? How are the students different from one another? What determines between a good and bad teacher? How can character be successfully be integrated into schools? “Thomas Aquinas once wrote that it is better to know a little of what is important than a lot of what is unimportant” (Stancil, 252). Students should have a balance of street smarts and book smarts so they can be successful in whichever career they may choose. If the typical education focuses on teaching the students only certain areas they may or may not use, then how will the students be completely prepare for life? If education is supposed to prepare students for life, then can anyone really limit or define education? Kim Jones, a CEO who wrote an article on education, claims “Education does not have a single purpose; it serves multiple objectives, and the relative importance of each of these objectives can be very personal” (Forbes.com).
Homework is for suckers. Homework causes stress for students as well as for parents. Homework is extremely demanding and many students are spending far too many hours after school to complete their homework assignments. Although, some students may be able to whiz right through their homework, other students crawl along struggling at a snail’s pace. Consequently, family time is put on the back burner due to the time constraints of homework. Additionally, any extracurricular activities are also put on hold. Homework is nothing more than a scapegoat for teachers so that they can pawn off their due responsibilities on parents and students. Homework should be banned for students Kindergarten through 8th grade because the negative effects do not out weight the benefits that come from homework.
Can I ask you a question? Do you enjoy recess and lunch? Well, I do. The reason why I'm asking you this is because some school has very small amount of time for recess and lunch, and school may not have recess nor lunch. That's why I want to make our recess and lunch longer. Also people can be more healthy. If you don't why it's healthy to play let me explain why it is.

Should school start at 7:00 or should it start later in the morning? In Douglas High School, start times are at 7:30 in the morning. Changing the school schedule to a later start time would result in many other changes affecting a lot of people. According to the Sleep Foundation, "The change will affect the entire community, from students and parents to businesses, libraries, police, youth sports clubs, bus drivers and many others." Altering the school schedule would influence numerous aspects of people’s lives. Highly coordinated routines would have to be changed and adapted to the new schedule. Imagine the clock hitting 3:00. Schools out right? Wait, the school day has been extended one hour and thirty minutes. But why? Currently, the average school day is six and a half hours long.
