In today’s society more than 40 million children play competitive sports. (National Council of Youth Sports (NCYS)) This means if they ban or get rid of competitive sports they will be depriving 40 million children’s way of being active and having fun. I believe that competitive sports are a good thing and that there really should not be any sort of issue. There are also many things that competitive sports help one develop. Skills such as time management, as stated by Kirk Mango. This means they could instead of having no idea how the day will work out they, they could have a set time for everything so the pressure of time will be eradicated. They also could develop skills such as problem solving and handling pressure. (NCYS) So if there is a feud that is happening you could help lighten the mood and maybe even stop the problem. For example I have made friends with Dayne Newman who was on my baseball team for the past couple of years. Over the years we have become great friends. Also I have become friends with Brady Blocksom who has also been on my baseball team. Not only that but I have become good friends with Even Welk due to you guessed it, baseball. I Have also made a few friends during this club called Ski Club. What I am trying to say is that if I was not in these competitive sports I would not be very good friends with these people.
