Competitive Sports As time goes on, more and more kids want to play less tag and more competitive sports. Americans should let their kids play more organized sports. Competitive sports teach kids how to exercise, learn social skills, and rules. Most children are naturally active, but not all kids are motivated to get up and play. According to soccer coach Joseph Luxbacher, ''Participation in organized sports puts structure into kid's physical activity. Also, following a team schedule gives kids time to play and exercise. Promoting Women’s Sports “It doesn’t matter if you are a woman or a man, the important thing is your determination,” race car driver Milka Duno proudly stated when being represented as a CNN woman. As women recognition continues to grow since the past, it still does not appear to be promoted enough. The promotion of women’s sports needs to be focused on due to inspiration passed on, gender equality, and the gratitude of women and their dedication to sports.
Some schools force students to participate in organized school sports. However, I believe that schools should not make this a requirement. The New York Mets came a long way in the 2015. But perhaps they came too far too fast. Because anytime a member of a professional sports club says the words “no one expected us to even get this far,” you’re doomed. So what if no pundit expected this outcome in April, you as a player or manager should! Winning games is what you get paid to do. I’m sorry, but simply finishing a 162 game schedule isn’t an accomplishment. There are no participation awards given out in Major League Baseball. And even if you had the tiniest seed of a doubt that you wouldn’t beat the defending American League Champion Kansas City Royals, you should let it be known that you’re up to the challenge and expect to win.
Contact sports can give kid’s serious brain damage. This brain damage can potentially lead to deadly diseases such as CTE, a pathologic condition that stems from repetitive head trauma such as concussions. Younger children and teenagers brains are still developing. This could mean contact sports are even more threatening to children of a younger age, because they could lead to serious, sometimes fatal, brain damage and it can stunt a child's growth. These are just a few examples of what contact sports can do to a child, so the question is, if contact sports can affect people in such horrible ways, should parents let their young kids play?
There’s people that don’t like basketball because of their coaches. However I think that coaches should help their team players get better in the sport and better in life. Before a coach does anything i think the coaches should get to know the player and know how they play so that player can get fitted into the right spot. Coaches that coach basketball should teach players the rules on how to play basketball and how to play it the right way. All coaches should make their players work their hardest everyday to become better but the players would need the right coach that would push them and tell the to keep it going when they want to give up.

That proves that competitive sports are needed to stay healthy and fit. First of all, competitive sports are beneficial because kids aren’t staying fit through non-competitive sports. According to Anahad O'Connor, “The greater the particular level in organized sports the lower the risk of being overweight.” This evidence is important because it shows that if most kids joined at least one competitive sport, obesity will no longer be a problem. Furthermore, “About a third of high school students who play non-competitively are overweight.”(O'Connor)

Participation in sports is important, and should be encouraged by parents everywhere. Sports have been around forever; however, many kids and parents are growing less interested in being apart of a team. Not only does participating in a sport improve the physical health of the child, but it helps kids learn about key skills for the future, while it can often forge and enhance other relationships. It is no secret that sports can help the physical well being of a child. There are many sports where conditioning is critical.
