One of my friends and I's favorite past times is paintball. From the adrenaline pumping into your veins, to the stupid crazy things we do while we are fighting. As long as we have the time and the money to play this sport, we will continue to play. It has brought my friends and I together, and has only made us come together as a group. Even when we were put against each other we still had a fun time playing paintball. It is truly an exhilarating sport. With tons of different people joining along with you coming with different and innovative gear, and coming from all around the world. This is one of the many ways this game is unique. One of the worst parts about paintball has to be the money you spend playing it, but its entirely worth it in the end. When you first sign in …show more content…
to the paintball park you're playing at, along with the hundreds of other enthusiasts that will either become your ally or your enemy. But while you're waiting in line to sign in, you come across a group of other paintballers much like you. One of my personal experience's of this was during the 2016 twenty-four hour game where Hayden, Adam, Jackson, and me ended up meeting with some rugby players, which made that day even better than before. When we finally are able to make it up to the sign in counter, we realize how expensive this becomes, and we haggle our way out of the hundreds of dollars of fees in any way we can. We use coupons, free passes, bring our own gear, smuggle in our own paint, and sometimes even play stupid towards people at the desk, in the hope they’ll take pity on us. It can get really pathetic sometimes, but we find a way to be able to play. Once that’s done, we either head over to an empty table or the back of my truck and get set up.
What I mean by getting set up doesn’t mean get our gear together and go. It means screw around for an hour then actually get going. An example of this is, when we invented a game where if you threw a paintball and it landed in somebody else's mouth they had to eat the paintball. I ended up eating three paintballs. But in the end we finally get all of our gear organized and ready up for the actual battle. This includes the tedious job of loading the paintballs into your gun as well as making sure everybody has everything they need for the battle type that we will be playing. Before we actually start the fighting out on the field. We have to go through one more tiny little task. We have to get assigned to a team first. In retrospect is a very important part of the game. Considering it decides whether you will end up winning or losing. It also determines who's going to shoot at you, and who's not. In my personal opinion I like to go on the losing team sometimes unless it’s a complete blowout. If your losing a little bit, it is more challenging of a task. Which is always a lot more exciting in the
end. Once we've been assigned a team, we can finally make it out on to the field. Now one of the things that happens when your playing paintball is the amount of adrenaline you release. This causes you to do stuff you never thought you could ever do. This includes both bad and good things. One example of the good is how I was able to take on and flank about 15 people allowing my team to move up from their stalemate, and win that battle. But these occasions happen rarely in the game of paintball, usually you end up having a nice amount of bad decisions as well. For example, during the 2016 twenty-four hour game, we had the "amazing idea" of getting our group together and running straight out of our bunker towards enemy lines while yelling our battle cry(which is not going to be repeated, because of school policies). Lets just say we were in a lot of pain, and we said some things that should not have been said to other people. Truly a lot of these situations we end up looking back on and laughing. To this day me and my friends laugh about our first paintballing experience, back in fourth grade(before their were laws on age restrictions I might say). Like I said paintballing is a thrilling sport that is so expanded upon and unique, anybody would like it. You have your low impact games, Speedball(competitive), woodball, C.Q.B(tactical), and many more. Truly this game is on a whole new level, there is nothing else out there like it.
but while doing so you must not let your location be known. To be a

“Maybe I´m stupid or whatever, but to me if I got a concussion, if I could see straight and carry a football, then I´m not telling anybody”, Ricky Williams, NFL Football player. The argument about whether kids should play football or not is an important topic to argue. People need to understand that the concussions and other injuries are more serious with young kids. The problem is that many people think that it could be stopped by not allowing kids to play at all. Although parents can reduce risk of injury by not allowing their kids to play football, parents should let their children play football because it lets kids follow their dreams, it helps kids become more mature and independant, and if kids use proper technique they can reduce injuries.
Why would you choose a simple stick bow over today's shiny, technologically advanced compound monsters? While it is true that modern advances have made archery more beginner friendly, the traditional longbow remains potent, lighting fast, and great fun.
Bart Palosz’s parents were on their way home one evening to the joy of their son, but instead, what they found was a tragic scene. Entering his sophomore year, on the first day of school, Bart was immediately targeted for a seemingly harmless joke organized by the other students; but little do they know it would be the last time they would see Bart Palosz. Bart has been a victim of bullying for over two years due to his body releasing hormones faster than the average teen at the age of 15 making him 6 feet and 3 inches tall. That evening, right after school, his heart and mind were so clouded by the pain of humiliation, Bart decided to end his life. Bart was aware of the shotgun in his parent’s room and he knew how to acquire it. With his parent’s
Guns kill people. That is the way society thinks now-a-days. Everyone is now becoming an expert on all things guns just so they can have a say in how the United States should regulate gun usage. If half the people who want to ensure more restrictions are put on guns actually understood how to use them and understood the pros of concealed carry—or even open carry—they would stop being so anti-gun. Open and concealed carry could potentially be a problem solver in these mass shootings. A victim possessing a gun can create intimidation between shooter and victim, and the said victim could in turn use his weapon to stop the offender from killing.
July 20, 2012, marks a day of mourning and injustice. Across the country, teary-eyed Americans, overwhelmed with shock and despair, read the headlines that covered every media outlet. The mere mention of the name “James Holmes” caused people to shudder in horror. How could one man be so incredibly malicious and destructive? Detailed plans of his mass murder were written down, and they revealed his malevolent heart. It is impossible to comprehend the amount of malice and hostility Holmes contained in his sinister soul.
James Eagan Holmes didn’t let six-year-old Veronica Moser-Sullivan out of that movie theatre that fateful night. Daniel Parmentors mom didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to him because of T.J. Lane. Mary Sherlack’s husband will not set the table for her after Adam Lanza entered her school. The actions of those three shooters were not to cause such small but widespread repercussions for so many other mourning people. They all suffered from various mental illnesses. 79% of recent shootings are attributable to mental illnesses. The U.S. should re-evaluate gun screenings to decrease the odds of another mass shooting by not allowing anyone with any mental or psychological problem to own or possess a firearm. While the Constitution states that everyone has the right to bear arms, the present situation is different from that past, when relations with Great Britain were shaky. Secondly, gun violence is on the rise, with 46 school shootings since 2010, compared with only 40 from 2000 to 2010. Finally, if gun screenings are modified, there will be many jobs available, while contributing to national security at the same time.
It seems that anymore all we hear on the evening news is something about a shooting. Whether it be about an officer himself being shot or firing his gun, the unnecessary violence needs to stop. Officers in large cities, and sometimes even small ones, are getting to be a little too power hungry. They do not care about who they fire at anymore simply because they themselves are officers and, in the words of several people, they are above the law. Too many people are being killed for unlawful reasons by officers and not getting the justification they deserve.
There have been numerous measures taken to ensure public safety in regards to who has access to firearms in the United States. The Brady Handgun Prevention Acts, enacted November 30, 1993, made it impossible to purchase a firearm from any store without first passing a background check headed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. These acts also made it illegal to conceal a handgun with the proper licensing as well as put restrictions on who can buy certain firearms. You must be 21 years of age to own a handgun legally, and you must be at least 18 years of age to own a rifle or shotgun. The F.B.I. keeps records of gun purchases and has access to the serial number and owner of every gun that is bought or sold in the U.S. The most crucial

Ever dream of shooting your boss or coworkers? Perhaps you will get the chance if you offer to organize a company paintball event. It is a great way to promote teamwork and relieve aggression. Even if the coworker from hell is on the same team as you, keep in mind there is such a thing as “friendly fire” (“accidentally” shooting someone on your team).
Sundays were always the best day as a kid. No matter the time, the sun always looked as if it was evening, and ready to give a blanket of warm radiance. In my room, I had a small twelve inch television I would play video games on. My favorite video game to play was Munches Odyssey; however, it was my sisters, so I had to play when she was gone. She didn’t like my player her videos, but she was always skiing on Sundays meaning I went for the gold! I spent hours sitting in front of that television playing video games; however, some say this is was a problem.
''Teamwork is a fundamental lesson in the military. At basic training, you learn about being a member of a unit. You do not focus on the first person to cross the finish line. You do not focus on the last person to cross the finish line. What matters most — what matters entirely — is that every unit member understands that everyone crosses the finish line"(mydd.com)
Violent video games have become more realistic every year. Children spend about 40 hours seated in front of a screen killing cartoon characters. It has been debated whether minors under the age of 18 should play violent video games that contain physical harm, killing, and sexual assault. In the contrary, people say video games increases the capacity of learning of children, but violent video games cause great damages. Although there are an increase learning skills playing video games, violent video games should be prohibited to minors because it changes an individual behavior, physical, and brain.
