Earth has become quite a sick planet and soon will not be able to support us. Earth is turning into chaos and it’s making people want to leave. The Earth is becoming dangerously warm resulting in changing climates, rising sea levels and it puts wildlife at risk. We have been going crazy with the natural resources to the point where their becoming dangerously low and lacking. The Earth is very over populated, we have went extremely over the maximum capacity level and the Earth cannot support all of us. There are also good reasons people want to leave to Mars. People want a more ecofriendly life where there’s no pollution and you can have a fresh start on a healthier life. There’s land on Mars, land we need to fix this overpopulation issue. Moving to Mars means letting Earth recover so maybe we could move back after hundreds of years to a healthy Earth. There are many benefits to moving to Mars and here’s my expert plan to achieve it. …show more content…
Once we move to Mars we need a way to prevent social injustice the way didn’t here on Earth.
To prevent it we need to deal with it. Instead of brushing it off and ignoring it we need to deal with it and communicate that it’s not okay. We need to properly educate the population so that ignorance or oblivion is not an excuse only blatant disrespect. We must teach and demonstrate open minds until injustice isn’t as frequent because complete extinction of it is unrealistic. We need a new set of laws that forbids social injustice and have reasonable punishments, ones that are good and will teach a lesson instead of causing more social injustice. People need to realize that discrimination of anything is not okay and they need to know why, that’s our
job. My robot for Mars is a smart design that will greatly benefit the colonization on Mars. For one it is run off of solar panels so it running out of batteries or energy is not an issue. The wheels are built to withstand any terrain and won’t be swept away by the strong weather on Mars. My robot has weather proof antennas for communication on Earth and on Mars for commands. Inside the robot has a working machine that creates water but you have to restock the robot on the elements it needs for it. On top is an oxygen supplier, so you can place it in a concealed room and fill it with oxygen. This robot will surly help the success of the Mars colonization. The Earth’s population is at about an extreme 7 billion and is growing at a rate of 1.31% yearly. This number is way over the Earths maximum capacity level and the Earth wasn’t made to hold so many. My plan is to bring 1% of Earth’s population up to Mars yearly. 1% may not seem like enough but it’s a big number. After 5 years on Mars there will be 600 million people after 10 years there will be 826 million, after 100 years there will be 883 million and after 500 years there will be over 5 billion. This will incredibly bring down Earths population so it can heal and recover the damage we did. We will have to control child birth a little to maybe 1-2 children so we don’t face over population again but the restrictions will not be harsh or anything to worry about. Moving to Mars seems hard because all the necessary survival needs are not there, but it doesn’t mean we can’t have them there. The main thing is oxygen, the most important survival necessity. Of course we can bring up oxygen tanks and having oxygen in a concealed room isn’t hard. With my robots help, oxygen shouldn’t be a problem. We need food and water on Mars. For water we can use my robot once again and make water ourselves. We can also convert our pee into water. For food we can grow crops, mainly potatoes, vegetables and fruits, but anything we need. Due to the strange planet were on keeping animals alive up there seems quite hard and any animals up there will be used not for meat but for the milk or whatever else they can offer without their lives. People will have to get used to a more vegetarian lifestyle. Moving to Mars may seem impossible but with my plan it will be achievable. Leaving Earth is the only way we will survive in the long run and that’s why having a fool proof plan for Mars is so desperately important. Maybe after we’ve been living on Mars for a while we can move back to Earth after it has recovered. Moving to Mars will be a great achievement and advancement in human kind and who knows what else we will be able to do.
In a society, the discrimination is wrong, we should try to end it now; besides, discriminations make people being have a distance when they stand near each other. We need develop this society lives by unity; furthermore, I believe only unity is a super power to improve our life without discrimination of races, sex, religions, because “united we stand, divided we fall.” Everybody has an equal right in life; we should refuse discrimination in society; if we know changes, then everything will become a miracle bring the happiness to everybody.
How would you like it if someone walked up to you and berated you based on the color of your skin? A characteristic like that isn’t even something you can control, so an insult of that nature can leave one furious and oppressed. Discrimination is inevitable in any culture, throughout history, in modern times, and even in ancient times. For example, the oppression and murder of 6 million Jewish people during the Holocaust, the African Slave Trade which occurred for multiple centuries, and more recently, the “ethnic cleansing” of Rohingya people in Myanmar, brought on by the government of the Asian nation, all of which are tragedies doomed to happen when history repeats itself and people do not learn
Overall, prejudice is a pretty controversial topic. Some people keep suggesting ideas on how to control it, others give it up as impossible to abolish, but many are not even aware of the problems it poses to modern society. The best and most effective way to get rid of prejudice is to educate people about it. When everybody is convinced that prejudice bad, there will be nobody to conduct prejudice. If we try our best, we will certainly be able to destroy prejudice, even if it is a learned trait. Prejudice is like walking; we learn both while growing up. But that does not mean we cannot get rid of it. Hopefully, you now have a better understanding of prejudicial issues around the world.
Everyone at some point in time or another experiences discrimination; no one lives a sheltered enough life not to. As a society we need to admit that discrimination is present at all times and stop being so sensitive to how we are labeled or perceived. Pretending discrimination does not exists does not solve a problem, it makes it stronger. Until it is no big deal in the eyes of all involved it will still be an issue that no one is truly prepared to tackle due to the amount of hate that will then be heaped upon them. Dr. King’s example is also a tragic one, a man who preached love for all, equality for all, and a sense of the brotherhood of man, was gunned down by one man who didn’t agree with his views. So perhaps the individual approach will be the best for now as this shows us one man’s view changed a world and one man’s view ended a life.
The word race is defined at its core as a competition between runners, horses, vehicles, boats, etc. to see which is the fastest in covering a set course. Well, interestingly enough, a race of a different kind occurred between two countries from the years 1957 to 1969. The competition was unclear, and the opponents were on two entirely different continents, not something as simplistic as two horses. The United States and the United Soviet States of Russia both set out as arch rivals in the “Space Race,” a quest for dominance beyond the known Planet Earth. Ironically enough, just as communism was spreading to all parts of the world, the United States always sought to squash this form of government, despite somewhat dire consequences. Now, with
Over many years and even thousands of years minorities experience an increase in discrimination and too much of it goes unjustified. Injustice means the lack of fairness or justice. Dr. King wrote the “Letter From Birmingham Jail” and talks about discrimination and several more important topics, after being arrested for peacefully demonstrating against segregation and racial terror. Discrimination always have and always will be a part of today's society it might not be moreso open as it used to be but it's still there and one day the protesting and all of the movements that have came to be will go unnoticed and there will be a stop put to it.
Have you ever wondered how some athletes have gotten so good at a certain sport? Have you ever thought about what they did in order for them to get this good? For some the answer is simple; workout and train. But for others the answer is different; the use of performance enhancing drugs such as steroids. There are some people that argue that steroids should be legalized and allowed in professional sports. Other people argue that steroids should not be allowed. Today I am going to state my opinion and justify my reason. Steroids should not be allowed in professional sports because it can be very dangerous to the athlete’s health, it is a way to gain and un-fair advantage and it can be dangerous in both social and physical aspects.
Over the years, discrimination has slowly, but surely become an inevitable product of human nature because inequalities in social and economic status occur and thus, humans have become predisposed to discriminate and be discriminated against.
"...Until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream." These powerful words were uttered by Martin Luther King in the midst of the racial unrest in the 1960's. During this time period many people of the black race were affected with discrimination of all sorts. Now- a -days, crimes once driven solely by hatred for one's race now stem from opposition to one's religion, gender, disability, or sexual orientation. These crimes known as "hate crimes" can be prevented. Solving this problem is not impossible, but something that can unite us as a country.
Laws have been passed to make sure that African-Americans get treated equal but alas they have not worked. The majority still treat African-Americans with disrespect. Sadly, there is no permanent way to stop and end racism of any form, especially one that has been going on for decades like racism against African-Americans. We can spread awareness through social media and through the internet but that will not stop all of the racism. Racism is something that happens in a person 's mind and attitude. It is the prejudice they feel when they see someone of a different race and the superiority they feel. That kind of feeling can not be fixed through laws or any solid solution. Racism is something people need to understand and understand why it happens and how to help the people that are being prejudiced against. A solution that might work is an experiment like Jane Elliott’s. To actually put people, most importantly kids, through a mild form of racism. To let them know how it feels to be prejudiced against so that when they feel like being racist they can think back to the experiment they went through and remember how they felt. This way is not the best solution but it is a start. This solution is fighting fire with fire. To make people think back to when they felt prejudiced against and realize not to judge people by what they look like but more to judge them through their actions. We can also educate people to think before they speak but that is not the best way because people will still do whatever they want and they will think before they do something racist and they will think that it is right and say it. What we can not do as a society is forget that racism exists and ignore it. That is what most people are doing right now and it is beyond wrong. We as a nation can not forget the slavery that happened and the segregation and discrimination that happened. Just because laws have been
Mars is our next best hope in life on another planet. Because of science mankind can grow and harvest plants in the modified mars soil, make a thick warm atmosphere, and drink no frozen mars water. Mankind can grow and flourish more as a species with this idea of colonizing mars. With more scientific advancements we can colonize mars and we will colonize mars.
Interesting fact: 86 percent of American adults drive cars and 72 percent believe that people need to limit emitting greenhouse gases (Winke). Where is the connection between American thought and action regarding climate change?
We often hear the words “global warming” and “climate change” on the news and in politics, but no one seems to explain what they really are and the major effects they are having on the world. We just know that they are “bad” and needs to be “stopped”. What really is climate change and how has it come to be such a major problem in today’s world?
“The worst threat to man is man himself.” These words, from the recent publication The Great Pearl of Wisdom, are from the open mind of Bangambiki Habyarimana, a man known for his work in the fight against HIV and AIDS. His blatant, cut and dry point of view is a very simple way of stating that humanity has the power to destroy itself, whether directly or indirectly. Indirectly, the human race may bring upon its own doom through the destruction and degradation of its caregiver, provider, and home: the Earth. One of the biggest issues in the modern world is climate change, which is directly related to carbon dioxide emissions and the greenhouse effect. The greatest contributor of CO₂ emissions is the use of fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, and
Discrimination will always keep our planet from achieving world peace. Everyone has become highly judgmental on others, that can’t be kept to themselves. In today’s society, everyone wants to speak, and when it is not their turn, they just hear and never listen. They will never go without giving their personal judgment to discriminate someone, whether it’s face to face or on social media. There are many types of discrimination such as racial, religious, social, economic, physical, mental, and even discrimination upon gender. All of these types have been the causes of riots, protest, even death.
