I like to go hunting because it's fun to me. My dad and I have fun when we hunt because we like to do it. When we kill a deer we have fun cutting it up because it gives us food. If it is a big buck, we get it mounted on our wall. We have a lot of deer on our wall. We have a lot of fun hunting. This year I killed a nine pointer. We got it mounted in my room. It has been a good year so far. This year my brother got his first gun. Also he killed his first deer too; he was pretty excited about it. It was a doe but it was still his first deer. Hunting is important because it gives you good food, gets you outside, and the necessary safety. This year I was hunting and I missed a doe but it's fine. You miss every now and then. It just takes practice to get better. I enjoy to hunt and that why when I miss I practice more. I like to be out with the animals. It's fun to be out in nature. Because you could hurt someone very bad. You always got to make sure your gun is clean. Before you go hunting you need to put on orange. That means that you are not an animal so you don't get shot. You also need to make sure you have a enough ammunition. Because if you run out something bad could happen. Like a bear could come out then what would you do if you had no ammunition. You need to make sure you have something to get you through the night because you might get lost in the woods and can't find your way back out. It's dark so you have to wait till in the morning to find your way out of the woods
After an hour and forty five minute drive I was home. I still had over two hours of prime hunting left. I saw several deer that afternoon but they were all too far away for a shot. Just before dark I had a doe come in to about 125 yards away. Knowing that there was little chance that I could hit the deer I took a shot. Sure enough It was a clean miss. Disappointed I hopped back in my car and headed back to East Lansing. The next day I got up at five in the morning and headed to Muskegon. The next Tuesday my roommate and I decided to try are luck again. My roommate and I went to high school together and we had always been hunting partners. I had a class at one o'clock that day so we could only hunt till eleven that morning. We were in the field a half hour before light. I was optimistic that I could get a descent shot off that morning.
In conclusion hunting is not for everyone, but those who do take pride in it. It takes a lot more than just to walk in the woods and pick a spot. Deer use thousands of runs throughout the woods. Spending weeks searching for the right spot in order to make a kill. It takes hours of sitting in a stand not saying a word or moving a muscle. You could spend days, months, or even years without getting a kill if you do not put in the time. When the time comes if you’ve done what I’ve said in the above paragraphs, you will be
Once a child — or an adult who has never hunted before — has been introduced to the outdoors, what happens next? According to Cook, there’s a real lack of long-term mentoring going on that will get both adults and youth past the beginning stages of hunting.
With this being said, that means bow hunters get first crack at deer before rifle season. The early part of season, deer are usually relaxed and often stick to their routines, allowing us as bow hunters to employ tactics that will not work at other times during the season. Hunting is generally done in the early parts of the morning or right before sunset. Most hunters are in their stands before sunrise, after properly getting settled in the game is on! The waiting game can take a great deal of patience but once a deer moves in, waiting for the right time is the final key. Since your best shot will be done with a non-moving object, you will need to wait for the deer to stop briefly as it moves through the woods. You can make a quick bleating sound to stop a deer in its tracks. Once its stop let your release fire and watch your arrow and remember to follow through. By now if you have done everything correctly you should have yourself your first deer. A blood trail, hoof prints and broken branches can help guide you to its location. It is best to tag and dress your deer where it lays because it is usually easier to drag out of the woods and there will be no question of when and where it was shot. I will not go into dressing a deer as there are YouTube videos that do a better job than I at explaining that
...ine rush of pulling the trigger on a back strap platter!! They ask why do we hunt. We hunt because we love it. It is an inherited extinct that is deeply rooted in human nature around the world to have the urge and desire to hunt. Whether it’s ducks, squirrels, rabbits, deer, turkey, frogs, fish, dove, or deer, God has happily blessed us with delicious, savory, delectable, and 100% fulfilling, protein-packed meat that provides us with the nutrients and energy needed to live.
Many people have misconceptions about hunting. One such misconception is that hunting is easy and any person can go sit in the woods and wait for an animal to cross the hunter’s path. However, people who believe this are sorely mistaken. Hunting is not just sitting in the woods with a rifle; there are many other aspects that must be considered. An individual must have all preparations complete, purchase or gather the equipment needed, and know what to listen for while in the woods.
When many people think of hunting, they think of cruel, evil people senselessly killing innocent animals. What they don’t realize is that hunting is a passed down tradition and a way for people to bond with others who share a love for the sport. There are two main types of hunting: bowhunting and hunting with a rifle. There are strict rules and regulations that apply to hunting, so someone can’t just go out and start shooting up all the animals. Before anyone can hunt, they have to pass a class and a field test in order to get their license.
First, hunting can be a source of relaxation. Sitting in the woods with nobody else around, far from the routine life, can be very therapeutic. One’s life is hectic with all the demands of everyday living. Running away from them, and having a time for oneself can be very healthy.” Even If you don’t makea kill , you will benefit from the peace and quiet sounds of nature“(National Geographic News ,March,2007). Hunters often reveal that being in nature provides time to clear the mind. In the woods, there is no rush, no schedule, and no deadlines; nature moves at its own pace. This interaction provides a deep spiritual connection with the land, the wildlife, and our planet. Hunting has been around since the beginning of time and has been in many people 's lives for generations, these are some reasons why people all across America continue to hunt. Hunting has many benefits such as reducing deer related car accidents, controlling deer densities in heavily human populated areas, creates jobs, and feeding and supporting families. Thus, deer hunting is necessary for several reasons.
There are different regulations regarding hunting in different states, and in Minnesota, the times for hunting run from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. on opening day and at sunrise for the remainder of the season. Although this doesn’t seem like a lot of time, the ten of us made some memories I will never forget. We arrived at our blind at 10:30 a.m. The sky was swarming with ducks before we even got things set up. Everywhere I looked I saw ducks swooping in and out of decoys. It wasn’t going to take long to bag our limit, and I knew we were going to get the season off to a great start. All we had to do was wait until noon!

My mom would hunt often with my grandpa when she was young, as a result, she has always wanted me to continue the tradition. I realized after the hunt, that day was one of the best days of my life. I will always remember exactly what happened that day, that is to say, it was a very special day in my life. With hunting being a really important activity we do in our family, if we have any free time we are at the hunting lease. As a family we get ready for the season by working on the lease. I grew up loving to hunt and fish because of my family. I love when we go to our hunting lease, because it is like our little family getaways. We get to spend time with each other and just hangout and relax. These experiences has made me who I am today; therefore, I know that I will keep this tradition up with my
