Everything has gone so fast as it has been months since I decided I wasn't going to see Dev anymore, although there are times when I'm debating whether or not he's still with his wife or if he's prancing around with another woman. But I've kept my promise. It's just gone ten o'clock in the morning here in Paris with this stunning snowing weather outside. The guilty was eating me alive, so I came clean about the affair to Laxmi also telling her that without the wife there, it didn't seem so wrong, but she still took it better than I thought she would. I thought it would be hard and I hoped there wouldn't be too much judgement from her because I'd known about her cousin's husband who was on his way home to his wife and son in Montreal, but he got off at Heathrow with a woman he meets on the plane and how he called his wife telling her that he need time to figure things out …show more content…
Ps, yes, Laxmi's husband did come along, but it's okay. Our flight was at 7:40 Boston time with Air France 333 but I'm currently sitting in the hotel room while Laxmi and her husband get their room sorted out. I went looking around the hotel as I was waiting for Laxmi the hotel is a lot bigger than I thought, the front doors are massive with gold all around the side, the rest is glass with a pattern of a variety of roses. There were two men dressed in black suits waiting to take our bags and other two door men ready prepared to open the doors for us. The entrance is massive with this long carpet leading to the reception, where an early aged lady sits behind the desk waiting to hand us key cards to your room. When I got to my room and walked in, there was this dark oak wood king size canopy, with bed netting over the top and tied to the upper frame with pale blue ribbon with an off-white doona and black silk sheet, pillows set up to display the room off with matching pillow matching the

The story begins when Brian, a thirteen-year-old boy, is traveling on an airplane. Brian is from the city, and is traveling to Canada to visit his Father. The setting is in the Canadian wilderness and is most important because Brian’s adventure would have been impossible in a city. Brian was very upset about his parents separation, but was excited to be visiting his father. However “The Secret,” as Brian refers to it, is always in the back of his mind. Brian has seen his mother with another man. He wants desperately to tell his father, but knows his father would be crushed. I think that this situation is something that could happen in real life. Brian is totally distraught. If I were in his place, I would be also. But instead of worrying about telling my father, I think I would be worrying about confronting my mother with the situation. I would feel I needed to stop the affair before my father did find out.
First, Cancun has gorgeous hotels. The architecture of one representative hotel is fabulous. Walking into the entrance of the hotel is like walking through a breezeway because there are no doors. Upon entering, the visitor is mesmerized by the colossal tropical floral arrangement that’s so stunning and full of vibrant color that her mouth drops in awe. Soon, she realizes, after the initial shock, that she is walking on marble floors that look like mirrors reflecting rays of dancing light. Indoor waterfalls accompanied with lavish foliage engulf her; every sense is stimulated. Happily greeted and escorted to her hotel room, she is delighted to see that the hotel’s beauty continues throughout every part of it. Posh describes the room exactly. The bathroom floors, counters, and the shower walls are polished stone, native to Mexico. Surprised, she looks over the balcony to see the S-shaped pool with a floating bar and the bar’s roof covered in bamboo. Walking through the hotel lobby, through the fresh gardens, through the pathway to the pool are picture-perfect peacocks flaunting their beauty, and, indeed, they are very beautiful. Every minute detail of the Grand Hotel is designed to give her an unf...
Sidewalks are different shapes and sizes, people tend to make their own decisions to which way they would want to go. Going through the motions on a sidewalk is similar as going through the motions of life. There are many turns that could get you to your final destination and turns that can also get you into places you would not feel so comfortable being. Staying on the right path and trying to get to where you need to go isn’t so hard but when you have other sidewalks with nice grass and big beautiful street lights that can be a very big distraction to the eye and that could cause problems in your life. Nice sidewalks sometimes don't always tend to continue a nice path so they can be very believing at first but when you make it to the end
All the shiny items to the back of the room caught my eye instantly because they appeared to look rich and prestigious. On the right of the big main entrance door in front, there was a silver tree, and on the opposite side of the room on the left side of the door, there was a gold tree. Money hangs on the tree, and I thought that was an interesting feature to have. As I looked around the room, I noticed the red carpet below me, and everyone was sitting on small rectangular pillows. The main speaker told me that pillows were located in the big container next to me, so I grabbed one and sat down. The...
Albert Einstein once said “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that is it stupid.” Sir Ken Robinson stated that schools are destroying children 's creativity with their curriculum, there are many facts that support this idea. Students are required to think a specific way, prepare the way teachers want them to be prepared. Students also have their own opinion, because they are not afraid to be wrong, and need a way to move forward.

As I walked out of the courthouse and down the ramp, I looked at my mom in disappointment and embarrassment. Never wanting to return to that dreadful place, I slowly drug my feet back to the car. I wanted to curl up in a little ball and I didn't want anyone else to know what I had done. Gaining my composure, I finally got into the car. I didn't even want to hear what my mom had to say. My face was beat red and I was trying to hide my face in the palms of my hands because I knew what was about to come; she was going to start asking me questions, all of the questions I had been asking myself. Sure enough, after a short period of being in the car, the questions began.
I am sure you are like everyone else out there and you want to achieve meaning in your life. There are unfortunately no short cuts to success or to invite meaning and fulfillment, into your experience. They are all the result of self-discipline and consistent commitment. Of course the moment you start down your journey towards the success you have visualized, you will start to enjoy the fruits of your endeavors. The challenge is to remain focused, patient and driven enough to stay on the path you have chosen. This is where discipline comes into it.
I was going to arrive, jump out of my car, march straight to him, give him my entire speech that I had spent time writing in a note’s page on my phone the night before. Then drop all the clothes I have ever borrowed from him at his feet, and tear back down that gravel road to home. But it didn’t work like that. Instead it was a mess of silence. My thoughts were everywhere all at once, and that’s when it hit me; Kielyn, there really is nothing to be said, it’s been over for awhile now. So, I simply uttered one sentence while looking in his eyes, “I don’t think this is going to work out.” He looked at me, probably said something, I don’t really know because I heard nothing. I just saw the indifferent expression on his face. That was when I knew it was over. I ducked into my car, turned the music as loud as it could go, and drove down that dusty gravel road. In my car. On a
I glance at the time on the clock as I make it the kitchen. Its five thirty so both ladies should be about ready for dinner tonight. We normally meet for drinks before dinner. It’s my turn host the pre-dinner drinks at my apartment. I sit my phone down on the counter as I can check the wine cooler to make sure Mia put several bottles in to chill. I hear my phone single that a text has been received. I walk back over to the counter to check who it
Six long hours after departing Hotchkiss, we finally reached our destination. We pulled into the parking lot of the Super 8 just off Interstate 76 in Sterling, Colorado. Since I had been to this hotel on a previous trip to Sterling, I began wishing I had brought my swimsuit along. Mom and dad went inside and got the keys for room 129. I was so sick of riding in the car that I did not care what the room looked like as long as there was a bed for me to sleep on. As we entered the room, on the left there was the bathroom sink, a mirror, and a place to hang our "good" clothes. To the right, was the miniature bathroom. There was not enough space in there for a midget. Stepping out of the entranceway, there was a wooden dresser with a 27-inch television. By the large window, there was a small table. Two queen size beds sat on either side of the nightstand. The purple patterned quilts were quite shocking compared to everything else in the room.
It was a dreadful afternoon, big droplets of rain fell directly on my face and clothes. I tasted the droplets that mixed with my tears, the tears I cried after the incident. The pain in my foot was excruciating. It caused me to make a big decision of whether I should visit you or not. I decided I would. I limped towards my bright, blue car where my bony, body collapsed onto the seat. I started the engine up but at the same time being cautious of my bleeding foot. I then drove to the destination where I was bound to meet you. I was bound to meet you after three years of counselling from my last appearance with you. I guess all I can remember is the scarring....
The car ride home my mother didn’t speak to me. The only thing breaking the silence between us was the loud screeching noise from her car. I knew that I had a lot of explaining to do but I had no idea how to even begin. Rather than caring about my mother’s feelings at the time I was more caught up on the hurt and betrayal I had felt from Katie. It was a painful feeling.
I love journals and have been keeping one on and off since I was eight. Keeping a journal, or diary as many have called it, can help clarify your thoughts, ideas, notions and problems. It can help manage those overwhelming emotions and reduce anxiety and stress. The ability is there to gain perspective on your thoughts and feelings. A journal can be profoundly personal and something tangible to go back to to relive parts of your life. Your life based on a true story, spread out over time. It is a place to record whatever you wish. Be it your darkest secrets, your first crush, your innermost feelings, how events made you feel or changed your life. It is a friend that is always nonjudgmental and always
