Everyone has gone through experiences which have formed personal worldviews. “The ultimate root of any worldview is life itself.” Sire, as cited in Dilthey, (1988, p, 21). For the believer worldviews are not based solely on social activities but worldviews are establish based on what the word of God says. According to Sire (2009) we know what is right and wrong based on the character of God which is good, but what about the unbeliever. Her main source for information and guidance is the Bible. She has a faith in God which surpasses all the worldly publications she reads. She is able to take what she reads and search the scripture for a deeper understanding of the world. She believes there is nothing new under the sun but everything is just wrapped differently. One of her favorite scriptures is found in Proverbs 4:7 (KJV) which reads “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” The knowledge I gained from listening to her has strengthen my worldview. She simply quotes the words found in First John 4:1 which says “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the
What is a worldview? A worldview is an idea or thought that manifest in our brain but is originated from how we perceive and feel towards events that happen during our life. The biblical worldview influences me in how I treat others on a daily basis in that I can always be kind and treat others respectfully the way that I want to be treated. I may not always know what a person is going through or has been through in their lives to make them do or say the wrong things but I can control how I respond to it. I want to live my life so that others look up to me and want to do the right things because they see how much of a difference it makes in my life.
Many people would not believe that worldview would be involved in the topic of work, but it certainly is. Worldview stretches throughout almost every facet of our lives and is even an intricate part of work. Christian and secular viewpoints differ immensely when it comes to work. Many Christians believe that work is an intricate part of God’s plan for mankind while the secular viewpoint sees it as more of a personal, everyday activity the serves no more of a purpose that that of personal success. The secular worldview has distorted the context of work and only the Christian worldview can redeem it to its original context.
It is an important aspect of a person’s thinking process. A worldview dictates how we see the world. Psalms 5:8 “Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness because of my enemies; make your way straight before me.” A worldview literally dictates how a person shall live their live and will teach them to discern the good and bad according to their beliefs whether another person thinks it’s silly or plainly stupid. The important thing is to defend your faith which means giving your life to it.
The worldview that I embrace in my everyday life is European worldview, although I am Mexican the European worldview over weights the worldview that people will assume I have. I embrace the European worldview because the aesthetics, epistemolgy, cosmology, ontology and axiology that deal with that worldview are all genuine beliefs of mine that constantly affect me in my everyday life. The African worldview is completely different, it is all for loving your peers and is more community based.
Everyone has a worldview with main characteristics that are ever changing. Different sources influence this framework such as parenting, friendship, telecommunication or internet media, educational and religious sectors. Hindson and Caner (2008) propose standardization methods of worldview are measured either by emotions and feelings, socialism, or the truth (Hindson & Caner, 2008, p.499). My mission is to live each day positively in God’s eyes, honestly and passionately so that every day I am one step closer to reaching my dreams and helping others believe in theirs. I will be committed to inspiring others to be more than they think that they can be and I will be a continual learner committed to excellence in all aspects of life.
There have been a vast number of lives that have touched mine. Many different people have shared a piece of their soul in my formation. However, it is my mother who is the most important and most influential person in my life. My mother raised me by herself since the day I was born. My father was abusive and she left to make a better life for the both of us. She has worked as many as four jobs at one time. My mother wants to make sure my brothers and I have a better life than she did. It hasn’t always been easy for her, taking care of us on her own, trying to pay bills and making sure we had everything we needed. My mom has always had us involved in sports at a very young age. We always were doing something or involved in something growing up. We went to summer school all through elementary school because she wanted us to get a head start. I remember when we were little she enrolled us I a manners and more class and I can recall when we would go out to eat people would compliment us on how well behaved we were.

For most of the people, the world view is a vague set of rules that we have unconsciously adopted from the society. Generally our family, religious groups and society seldom allow us for making creating our own. Through our intellect, we can create aspects of our world view. In short the World View is a filter through which we make judgments of others and ourselves.
All in all, my mother has had a great impact on my life. She encourages me to always grow and blossom into a better person each day of my life. No matter what happens in life, she has taught me to have faith and keep a smile on my face because better days will come. She’s been supportive and makes sure that I continue to prosper. Also, she has helped mold me into the young adult I am today and the success adult that I am sure to be in my future. My mother has greatly affected my life and for that she is greatly
