I have been wanting to drive because it will be one of the most useful life skills after I graduate from high school. To me, being able to drive means to have a convenient, interesting life, and being a helpful person. My life will be more convenient when I can drive by myself. I am jealous of the day students who can drive off campus to have food when they do not have classes. For those of us who can not drive, the only chance to get out of the school is to up for the school shuttles that can only go certain destinations. Also, when I am home in China, I always wish to drive by myself. This is because that I feel guilty when I have to wake up my brother to drive me to school in the morning. I could take a taxi or wait for the bus, but I can not afford being late to classes if they are not on time. If I drive by myself, I could go to the market and buy necessities whenever I need to instead of waiting for the school shuttle once a week. Also, I will feel a sense of independent and relief when my mother does not have to yell my brother to get out of bed …show more content…
When I can drive a car, I can go to places where I would like to without many restrictions. For instance, I can take a yoga class that is outside of my school; I can drive to a part-time job; I can also go on a road trip with my friends. Especially when I am in college, driving seems to be necessary since the place is ginormous and the public transportation is not as convenient as cities like Boston. Without knowing how to drive, I will reduce my enthusiasm to do many of these activities because they are troublesome to get to. Even though I need to go to different places in one day, I do not feel restrained because I can rely on my personal schedule instead of worrying about to cause trouble for others. Thus, by driving by myself, I could spend more time outside from dorms and classrooms and be more
There are going to be sometimes where you do want too or must walk, bike, or use some other transportation to get somewhere. It’s just easier, more convenient, faster, and gives you more freedom when you do take your own car. Sometimes you must go somewhere at the last moment, where it’s easier to get in your car and drive. You get to your destination faster when you drive, it could be safer if you are the one driving, you don’t have to wait on anyone to pick you up, and you wouldn’t have to worry about where to put your bike. Although; if you choose not to drive; you wouldn’t have to worry about the traffic, you would get to see different views of your city, you would get exercise if you were walking/biking, save on gas, get to be with friends/family if you
Many teens enjoy driving because it gives them a sense of freedom. They feel free to go where they want to go, and do what they want to do. Why would one take away this feeling? It would only communicate a lack of trust. This would only cause them to get angry and rebel

Why I wanted to start trucking? Thats is a very good question for this essay. I wanting to start trucking when I was 12. This all started when i saw this trucker on the interstate and he was from Kentucky (at least that is what his licence plate said) so i asked my dad why he was in Arkansas he told me that he might be making a delivery for a company and that we need trucker for shifting stuff all around the united states or even all around the world.
Technology continues to advance our country significantly. One such example of this is the technology of self-driving cars. Self-driving cars are the future, offering the potential to save thousands of lives and billions of dollars. Creating social advantages for the blind, children, those with missing limbs and the elderly, these benefits could save so many lives and continue to advance our technology. We should permit self-driving cars in the United States as they will decrease human error, allow mobility for the disabled, and be more efficient for our environment.
Driving a car and obtaining a driver’s license does, perhaps, seem to provide people with a great sense of independence and freedom. Teenagers need to feel independent in order to learn to become successful on their own as well as realize how to handle life situations on their own, and having a license seems the perfect start and most effective way to do so. When teenagers feel this independence, they tend to act more mature, knowing the responsibilities they must now carry on their own (More4Kids). Teenagers often look forward to the freedom that driving offers as well. Teenagers are able to take drives to escape from life’s stresses, and leave any troubles at home behind without rebelling against their loved ones.
Why You Should Choose Me I believe that you should choose me as a member of the Appomattox Regional Governor’s School chapter of the National Honors Society, because I’m a hard worker who is determined to take charge as well as be a team player. After being rejected at the end of the 2016-2017 school year, I followed up with Ms. Whittle. She gave me great feedback and I have worked hard over the summer to diversify and add to my accomplishments.
When they can’t drive, this inhibits their ability to get home safely and efficiently. More than 7.6 million students played school sports in the 2010-2011 sports seasons, and 1 and 4 students work. Other students participate in musical activities, hobbies, lessons, and more. With all of these activities, it is imperative that students should get home safely and easily. Think about this: if students are forced to wait for a ride after extracurricular activities or jobs, they may not have sufficient time to complete their drivers’ education homework, thus impairing their potential to obtain safe driving
Driving helps teens prepare for their future more than you think. Driving helps teens prepare by giving them more responsibilities. Putting a hold on that will give the teens less experience on holding a responsibility. Practicing a responsibility like driving will help them in the long run.
When I get comfortable driving to a certain place over and over I really don’t have any fear of it. For example driving from my house to EKU Manchester isn’t a problem because I do it multiple times a week and have done it for over a year now. Neither is driving from my house to Clay County High School to watch athletic events because I drove there numerous times throughout my senior year of high school. My education class of this semester required me to drive to Corbin to observe at three different schools.
In the first place, a reason vehicle ownership is good is because you have your own access to transportation. Transportation has become a necessity in today’s time. Motorists age 16 and older drive, on average, 29.2 miles per day or 10,658 per year. Anyone who has ownership of a vehicle, has the freedom to go each day as they please.

“Everywhere is walking distance if you have the time,” said by Steven Wright. Teenagers look forward to their sixteenth birthday so they are able to drive. Everyone has felt that feeling where they can hardly wait to get behind the wheel and start driving. Little do people know teen drivers are more likely to die from a car accident than from a homicide, suicide, or cancer combined (Littlefield). They are mostly inexperienced with the road and how to handle distractions. If the age were moved to eighteen teenagers would have more driving experience (Sostarecz). Teenage drivers are extremely eager to drive because of freedom, but they are not aware of the distractions and peer pressure on the road; their experience of driving is not as well as others and statistics show how many deaths are caused due to teenage driving.
With my drivers’ license I could pick up my friends without my parents around, making the friend experience a whole lot better. I could go on dates without the embarrassment of my parents driving me. On any given day I could do anything I wanted because I could drive. I could feel the textures of the roads, smell the fresh air when my windows were down, see the beautiful terrain that I drove through and I could hear any type...
