I enjoy doing sports. One sport that I play and enjoy doing is basketball. I have been playing basketball since 2nd grade and I love to play basketball. I have a goal outside my house and everyday after school, I go and practice on the goal. I play a post position because I am tall and I can do stuff that small people can’t do. That is why I love to play basketball.
The next sport I enjoy playing is football. I have been playing football since 4th grade and by now I do not like it near as much as I liked it back in the day. I still love getting //***to hit people really hard and throwing people on the ground. I still do not love football as much as I like basketball. That is why I like to play football.
The last sport I enjoy playing is
I’ve always been the type of person that truly enjoys athletics and have participated in nearly all sports offered to me. I started playing sports in elementary with club softball and basketball. As I entered my middle and high school years I was able to add the school sanctioned sports to my list of activities. This afforded me the opportunity of competing in volleyball, basketball, golf, track and softball. The camaraderie and life lessons of sports seemed invaluable to me.
As a college basketball player, I learned that being an effective leader did not mean that I had to be a constant bundle of energy. Rather, I realized over time it is more important to understand your teammates and what makes them tick, and to translate that knowledge into separate leadership styles to match each individual. This is crucial when working with an extremely diverse group of attitudes, personalities, and mindsets. I believe people would describe my style as steady, positive, and upbeat – opposite of my head coach in many ways. Countless times I would pull a teammate aside who had been berated and explain in a constructive
I started off having absolutely no idea on how to dribble a basketball. The saying practice makes perfect really did help me to flourish in this sport and my passion for being on the court grew. My goal was set on being captain and in order to fulfill this desire I had to not only prove to my team and coaches that I was capable, I also had to prove to myself that I could handle the responsibility.
I enjoy sports a whole lot. sports is an enjoyable way to spend time outdoors. Sports that I like are fishing, football, and baseball.
The sport that I enjoy the most is basketball. For some reason I just enjoy dunks, threes, the hype of the game, people watching the player run back and forth and playing that their max stamina to be the greatest team or player. For this assignment I will demonstrate some examples on how I will apply specificity and overload within my workout for getting ready for games or scrimmage games with other players or by myself. For example, the start of my workouts would be agility workouts back and forth up and down the court to get my heart racing 30 times and exercise with squats to finish up my warm up. The reason for the warm is to increase my power in my legs. An alternative workout would be a rebounding drill to also improve power in the legs.
In ten years I would like to be a basketball player when I grow up. The reason why I want to be a basketball player. Is cause it is the best thing to do to me. The average basketball player get 5 million dollars a year. Being a basketball player is really fun.
I have throughout my whole life been playing sports. I still play basketball competitively and now it’s at the university level. Basketball though was not my first love when it came to playing sports. It has though become my true focus since junior high school. Coming from Canada everybody plays hockey. Its almost as if as soon as you learn to walk you learn how to skate. Whether it is at the recreation centre or at the shinny rink around the corner everyone plays. Eventually I abandoned hockey to play basketball which I have done so for the last twelve years of my life and hopefully a few more years into the future.
Passion project into page For my passion project topic I choose sports and for the first page I will specifically write about basketball. I choose this topic because basketball is a big part of my life and it is what I do most of my time when not in school, and it is very important to me. I have been playing basketball since I was around 7 years old, but I never really cared too much about it until around 5th grade. Then I started to take it more seriously and fell in love with the sport and knew this was what I wanted to play. Basketball isn't just about playing basketball, there's other factors to it and other things around it.
From age 5 I was placed on the soccer field, in ballet class, and gymnastics. I loved both and was decently good for such a young age. It carried a social meaning from the very beginning even though I never realized it until I realized I had made the wrong choice. Three sports became too much to handle, especially when my younger sister was at the age to try sports a few years later. I had to chose two sports to stick with, and eventually just one. I chose soccer. Why? Because it’s what my friends were into. The most time consuming sport is what I chose and it was the sport that I least admired. Looking back on my high school experience I am very proud to have chosen that sport because of the people I met and made life long friendships with. No one would care if I had stuck with ballet because I wouldn’t of had as nearly many friends. Of course school was simpler when I was younger but my grades reflected an above average student. Now, I’m just average with a history of playing soccer. It gave me the social life that I wanted, but not exactly the grades and happiness I wanted. Although I loved soccer I wasn’t as good at is as I was in the ballet studio. Many
Ever since I was a little boy, about eight years old or so, I had an extreme passion for the sport of basketball. On weekends, I would wake up in the morning, eat a bowl of frosted flakes or cheerios, put on basketball shorts and then go in my driveway to shoot around. I would be out there for hours just shooting around or playing with some random kids that I would occasionally see walking around my neighborhood. This was satisfaction to me, but even better was playing on multiple public teams and not just playing in my driveway every day. In elementary school, I played in a recreational league, just like almost every other kid who tries out basketball when they were younger. This was fun and all but it was nothing too serious. There were never any practices, it was just one or two unorganized games per week. I never took

I played and watched football every chance I got. I also like basketball. However, football is my favorite of all sports. I know people have their preferences relating to the sport they watch and play. There is always something new occurring when it comes to football.
If you were to ask my friends what I love to do, my guess is that the majority of them would come up with this reply, "He loves to play sports". Sports are a big part of my life, and if I had to choose my favorite sport to play it would have to be basketball. I couldn't imagine going a week without being able to touch a basketball, and I thought I would never have to. But on one summer afternoon, that all changed when I broke my leg. It left me on crutches for two months, and not being able to play basketball all that summer. At first I thought it wouldn't be so bad, getting all the attention and sympathy from everyone. However, after one game I soon realized that I would do just about anything to get rid of those horrible crutches and get back on the court.
Basketball is one of the interesting sports I have always wanted to engage myself; even as a little child. It was a dream come true when I started playing basketball in my high school. Moreover, I was very good in it, and I became the team leader. Of course, I enjoyed every bite of the time I spent playing basketball.
Some of the reasons I love basketball are because it is challenging, helps me improve myself as a person, and teaches me a lot about life. In this sport, I have learned how to mentally prepare myself for hardships. When I am in a game and down two points with only a few seconds left on the clock, I know exactly which play to run. I also know how to use what energy I have left in my body and mental...
