My first wish is to learn and enrich my skills. Co-op allows high school students to apply academic study to the workplace. By alternating study terms with work terms, I can test conceptual knowledge whilst applying pre-existing skills such as being able to communicate. Likewise, I can acknowledge my skills, and discover and amend my strengths and weaknesses. I hope to develop my skills through hands-on experience. Skills such as being able to deal with conflict, make decisions, and work with a team. I believe that acquiring such skills is not only crucial in the workplace, but also in the real world. Hence, I intend to achieve this goal by interacting (cooperating, showing curiosity, asking questions) with the staff at Windsor Regional Hospital in hopes to learn and follow them by example. …show more content…
Co-op exposes students to a real workplace, thus giving them an idea of a real-life work experience. By being exposed to real-life situations and problems in the workplace, I can learn how to react to them. It provides me with the opportunity to explore and plan my career… In other words, it can help me decide whether I’m on the right career path, possibly opening up other options I’ve never considered otherwise. Moreover, I can test drive the different possibilities before investing money. For this reason, I aim to achieve this goal by involving myself inasmuch tasks as I can handle. Whenever my given responsibilities are completed, I will ask for other assignments and offer
Schools are beginning to adapt more to the variety of students needs in the classroom. Co-teaching is one of the methods schools and teachers are using to reach more students. It got originally noticed in 1960s but didn’t become popular and supported till 1990s (Villa). Co-teaching is when the general education teacher is working along side another professional. They could be a special education teacher, ESL teacher, a reading specialist, or any other professional that could assist in creating a coordinated curriculum for a diverse classroom. Both the general education teacher and the other professional will plan the coordinated curriculum and instructions that will be used in the general education classroom (Vaughn pg. 79).
By working together there is information sharing, improve safety and quality also collaboration gives knowledge to other professionals. (Littlechild and Smith, 2013).what I have learned through working in partnership with other professionals was creating a poster related to what each professional does. Some of the professionals I did not know how exactly they work together in partnership. Example: I was not aware of how a radiology would work with a social work and the outcome of that was that Radiology develop and maintain collaborative relationship with medical colleagues and participates in regular meetings with other professionals activities to meet the needs of a service users therefore they collaborate with Social Workers. By doing a poster and delivering information I learned a lot from the other team members, shared experiences knowledge and skills with other group members. Group work made me realise how it is very important to work in multi-displinary team, the benefit of it and what others can benefit from. During the poster each of the student was from different professional however we all had the question but each had to look at it in each profession perspectives. This gave an opportunity to everyone to go and search for each professional and communicate with the rest of the group the outcome of the presentation. By doing that, we exchanged ideas learned from each other’s skills and used it into practice. I have learned about sharing information with others, learned about communication and
D, my classmates, the skills book and videos were my influencing factors for this lab. I find the clinical learning centers to be exciting and places me in my professional work place. I should do everything as I would if I was in the hospital, nursing facility, or clinic. I recognize that we must be professional and act just as that. The CLC influences me to be the best I can be because it allows me to be in a realm of professionalism. This is to say, I should dress, behave, and listen as a professional nurse would. I should welcome suggestions to improve my nursing skills and embrace them with open
With the knowledge acquired through the classes I will be a better manager to server to my colleagues in my upcoming career and it will help brighten my future. My passion of being a leader within a healthcare facility comes from knowing that if employees are treated well and happy with their job they will have excellent customer service skills and treat patients with excellence. When a patient is sick they are at the most vulnerable time of their life. If you receive awesome customer service during your most vulnerable time you will feel grateful. I have had many patients at my job express how we don’t make them feel like other doctors office. The patient has expressed that at other doctor office they just feel like another number. When a patient feels as if the staff, doctors, and manager care they will see the whole environment as effective leaders for all healthcare organizations.
...earn key skills and working as part of the team to achieve the required competencies needed in my clinical cluster. The continuous learning education workshops in which we achieved in school gave us enough confidence and skills as a mental health students. My confidence level are improved. The attainment of clinical skills helps to build my proficiency in delivering care to patients and able to visualize on the next placement.
Co-teaching is the collaboration of two or more credentialed teaching professionals, most typically a general education teacher and a special education teacher. To truly qualify as a co-teaching model, each teacher must be actively involved in the teaching of the lessons. Each teacher contributes their own unique expertise to the planning, instruction, and managing of all students in the classroom. If executed in this way, co-teaching can enhance the learning environment and involve and engage all students in the classroom. All students, from the academically gifted to the academically challenged, can benefit from the increased engaged time and more diverse instruction which the co-teaching model offers.
Although I have significant experience in these areas there are others that I have not had the chance to grow in. I am aware that I need development in some critical care areas. Cardiac drips and ventilator settings are a few examples of things that I have general knowledge of, but do not see on a regular basis. Growing in knowledge and skills is a daily task for a nurse. Every day I learn something new and continue to grow in my leadership skills. This is an area that I believe I have the opportunity to continue to develop. Additionally, there are times when I could do a better job at delegating rather than trying to accomplish everything on my own. I am not afraid to ask for help when I need it, but there are times that I could be more efficient by requesting a task be completed by another

Cooperative students will become future leaders in the initiation of faculty development. They will demonstrate ideas and alertness of the encounters that may occur. Quality development of safety and communication among the staff and patients are improved when staff members have a supportive relationship with their clinical partners. Good communication will lessen errors in the system.
I am a dedicated, self-motivated and hardworking individual. I am an excellent team worker and have good interpersonal skills and am very eager to learn and develop new skills.
A good curator has the potential to shape a person’s approach to art and culture. In 2011, Andrew Bolton’s stunning presentation of fashion as art, in ‘Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty’ opened my eyes to the work of a designer that would become the backbone to the majority of my undergraduate study. Aged 18, I traveled to New York where I visited the exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Four years later, when ‘Savage Beauty’ was showing once again - this time at the V&A, curated by Claire Wilcox - I wrote my dissertation on the complex relationship between art and fashion through a detailed analysis of the exhibition which gave me my biggest passion.
In continued respect, trust and honesty colleagues will remain open to change and innovation. Learning from one another will nurture and encourage a workplace that will flourish with collaboration to foster student learning and
Before starting the degree course in university, I already had the skill working with others. As I have worked with others who were on the same course as me in the sixth form and also I did voluntary work placement which required people working together.
After doing my work experience at the Craigton Road Day Care Centre for elderly people, where I enjoyed talking with and caring for vulnerable, confused and apprehensive people, I felt that working with the patients and staff really did improve my communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills. Working and listening to the patients and their struggles made me realise that a health care profession was the correct career path for me. As a nurse, I need to be able to work as part of a team and deal with emotionally charged situations, have patience, understanding and a caring attitude towards everyone. I feel that I have the correct skills and responsibilities to be able to fulfil this role. I took a particular interest in nursing as I want
My current job as a research assistant has provided me with the opportunity to work as part of a team to achieve shared goals as well as to receive and provide feedback from other team members. Social skills and cultural competence are other competencies that I continue to strengthen. In the last 10 months, I have been able to interact with cultures and perspectives new to me which I have learned to appreciate, understand and respect. As a potential medical professional, my main drive is to alleviate others’ distress and help others, and through my current job and as a volunteer I have been able to help others locally and globally in a direct or indirect way. Finally, these experiences continue to strengthen different important skills in the medical field such as ethical responsibility, resilience, responsibility, continuous improvement, adaptability, and
