This may seem extremely cliché, but I love to help others. Whenever I make a positive difference in someone’s life, I get a feeling that can’t be replicated. I also love children and it pains me to see children whose lives may be ended shortly because of a life-threatening condition. If I can help them to live their dreams and achieve their goals while they get a chance, my life will be forever changed.
I want to be a part of this committee so I can help others and make my mark on my community. I’m enthusiastic about helping people and am a hard worker. If I am accepted to the Youth Leadership Committee, I will put forth my 100% effort and it will show with everything I do. Make a Wish is such an amazing organization working for such a great cause and I feel inspired by the brave children benefitting from it and the selfless volunteers. I would be humbled and thankful to serve such a righteous cause.

I attended a leadership convention for Key Club called the Florida District Conference (DCON). DCON has taught me how to be a better leader, friend, and person through its various workshops. One of the workshops was a Make a Wish workshop which opened my eyes to the organization’s fervent work and made me realize I would love to be involved with it. One of my ideas to raise funds involves Key Club. As a class director of Key Club, I attend monthly board of director meetings where we pitch ideas. At one of those meetings, I will tell them about any service opportunities Make a Wish has so Key Club can send volunteers. In addition to that, my Key Club chapter also plans on having a club project this year where we help an organization by volunteering and raising money for them. I could try to install Make a Wish as the club’s annual project which will raise awareness and
I believe that my academic background has prepared me perfectly to be a member of this great organization. While a student at Syracuse University, I had the opportunity
I am very honored to have been part of this organization for the 2013-2014 school year and I plan to participate next year as well. At the end of the event I always feel so inspired and ready to make even more a difference in the lives of others, whether through volunteering, my future profession, or other organization at the University of Northern Iowa. I have learned so much from the Miracle Kiddos and their families, and plan to carry those life lessons with me as I pursue a career in the exercise/health science field.
I would be an excellent choice to be a member of the National Junior Honor Society because I show service, leadership, character, and citizenship. It is an amazing opportunity anyone is lucky to have, and I am more than happy to accept it. I love helping people, being able to feel accomplished knowing I put a smile on someone’s face. Being in the National Junior Honor Society, I’d love to share my ideas and thoughts on how to make the world a better place.
I believe that in order to be a part of this program that I need to excel academically and demonstrate the characteristics that NJHS looks for. I should be chosen to be a member of this program because I display the characteristics required to be a part of NJHS. Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Citizenship, and Character are all things that I show and that I know I have. If I am chosen to be a part of this program, I promise to follow through as best as I can do. I will fulfill my duties as a member of NJHS and help others to the best of my
by creating persuasive flyers and posters throughout the school and placing them at various areas on campus. If I were selected to be on the decorations and publicity committee, I would use my creativity and artistic abilities to make colorful and vibrant posters that would encourage various groups and clubs on campus. I would also wear any spirit wear that is associated with the group or club that includes the group name or logo on it to help support them throughout campus. This would be a great step to promoting and supporting the important groups and clubs on campus because it shows the passion that leaders have towards encouraging and supporting the club or group. Other ways that I would support various groups and members of our school would be by setting out to become a great leader that strongly motivates and encourages people throughout campus. Making lively posters and wearing spirit wear to support the people, groups, and clubs throughout campus are the steps to promoting them throughout Cal High. I know that following through with each of these ideas are great ways to show my support and enthusiasm towards these groups on campus, but it is even more important to become a great leader and use the skills of a good leader to encourage them. This can mean just showing my enthusiasm and school spirit towards these groups and clubs in order to help support them, or it can mean informing the entire
There are a lot of reasons why I chose to pursue pharmacy as my career and they all point to the most important reason: pharmacy is a great fit for my life and is something I have become increasingly passionate about. It started when I was researching careers with my parents and my dad suggested pharmacy and, simply put, it sparked my interest because at the time it was one of the few things I thought I would not hate doing. A healthcare career has always been where I put myself in the future, mainly because most of my family members are in the healthcare field. However, I have never been one that could directly help the wounded or deal with anything gory, but am very intrigued by the growing science of pharmacy. As I continue exploring pharmacy, the more I enjoy learning about it and feel like I could excel in this career.
Soaked under sweat, I stood on the running machine, took a deep breath, and counted in my mind, one…two… three, GO! With renewed power and confidence, I started to run again with satisfaction. This moment happened every day in last summer at a gym and I lost 62pounds. Had persisted for five months, I am so proud of myself that I am able to achieve the goal of losing weight and established high self-discipline. In addition, I have gained great appreciation for the challenges. However, I also have grown up from this, on the other hand, frustrated experience. Not because the process of losing weight was painful, but because my by-product of the weight loss journey, my online team.

The Leo club convention consisted of numerous other Leo clubs across Ohio. We met new people and talked about the leo projects we do. There was a project that really caught my eye, that I wanted our Leo club to do also. A thirteen year old girl and her friend made t-shirts and bracelets for their friend with cancer. They donated all the money they received to this girl and
Whoosh!A bed whizzed by, surrounded by about 6 medical personnel. “What’s going on?” I thought immediately with apprehension. I knew whatever was happening it was not ideal. Ensuring I was not in the way, I stood on my toes to see what demanded so much attention. To my astonishment, I saw a coin sized hot-pink little girl. She could not have been bigger than two quarters lying side by side. She was struggling! Even with all the procedures the doctors were executing to save her life, she was performing the most work.
My decision to become a doctor did not come in a moment of blinding revelation, but as
Every year at my school, the Toys for Tots Committee hosts a christmas concert to raise money and toys for less fortunate families. This year, it was my turn to take on this large responsibility. Due to a few unchangeable and hindering circumstance, the concert was almost cancelled. The most significant issue that we faced was that this year many students have been apathetic towards clubs and fundraisers, thus many school organizations have been struggling to make ends meet. The Toy for Tots Committee was no different, for we too had been surviving on only a handful of dedicated members.
Besides academics, fine arts and sports in school, I have attained leading roles in different groups. This year, I am the Spirit Leader of Student Council encouraging monthly goals and themes and assisting in school events. From creating a student council with a group of peers three years ago we have had success in many events and have found new ways to spread spirit, gather important information and assist with financial groups. Recently, I stepped up to be the leader of the fundraising committee for our ...
While walking around the event I was overwhelmed by how many clubs and organizations were outside. I was excited to get to hear about them. Members of the clubs were trying to engage students to get to know more about their club. I was also giving out free stuff, like pens, pencils and food. I heard about some clubs, for example Destino, which is a club that empowers students to love Christ.
When your life reaches the end, the world does not sit around for you to ponder what you need to do with whatever remains in your life. Imagine a scenario where you don 't have any earlier plans and your life is tossed into a circumstance where you have no self-governance or autonomy. I think it is smart to leave a guideline to friends around you, and let them know what you need them to do when you cannot make important life decision on your own. In this manner, by recording or jotting down your final five wishes, you can prevent yourself from being treated unreasonably, as well as letting your family know your will. By and large, this task opened the door for me to really compose my own last five wishes, and think back on my life.
