Hiking Occupations For the past few years, it has been a long journey of picking and picking and never choosing a career. What do I want to do with my life? Doctor, veterinarian, there were so many decisions. So many things I could do, and for a while, I thought I had it all figured out. I wanted to be a doctor. But did I really? They say if you’re working doing something you love, you will never work a day in your life, that is how I want to be.
At the age of three I was able to answer the question, “what do you want to be when you grow up?”. Every time I was asked I would say “when I grow up I want to be a doctor”. For Christmas I received a doctor’s toy kit, and even brought the kit to Show and Tell in third grade. From pre-k, up

I have never been serious about it, but it is something I enjoy a lot. I want to take my love for art, and makeup to the next level, occupation wise. I’ve thought about going to schools for it to further my education and skills, hopefully being able to do something more with it, as far as money, or getting paid goes. As far as schooling for it goes, I’ve thought about going to NC State, and if I’m being honest, it is because a fellow friend, Heather, wants me to be with her. Otherwise. I would rather a good makeup school or good art school nearby, only for now. I’ve heard the greater schools for my interest are in California and New York, which are the places I am hoping to pursue in the …show more content…
Which may sound strange, to most. Just suddenly taking an interest in something I never dreamed of being interested in. For the most part, I would say it is more of having skill. I would like to think I am at least decent at art, but my sister thinks I should sell my art work. Makeup wise, I would get a lot of makeup for Christmas when I was younger, even though I never wore it. I would play around with it and practice on my siblings, including my younger brother. It started becoming fun for me, as well as becoming better at it. I also began watching a lot of makeup guru videos that I would come across on social media such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, I believe that is what kicked me into gear for
From the time a child enters preschool, teachers begin asking a common question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” That dreaded query has always haunted me, mostly because the way it was redundantly asked put a ton of pressure on me and my peers. The question was like a rusty nail being hammered into our head’s by society. I continuously had the cliché answers of becoming a doctor, teacher, or a police officer, but with serious reservations. After years of not having a clue, I started to think about what I like to do after the stresses of work and school were gone at the end of the day.
Since before I can remember, I have tenaciously dreamt of receiving my Bachelor of Fine Arts in New York City. Everything in my life has been geared towards achieving this goal, starting with my first photography award in the third grade. Although the thought of college can be daunting, I believe I am adequately prepared due to the education I have received and my ability to balance my responsibilities and freedoms.
What do you want to do when you grow up? Most children are often asked that question and they
So I started thinking about what I wanted to do; I went from teaching to law enforcement, computer programming to astronautics and numerous other professions. Now I come to a crossroad in my life where I must choose what to do with my future, choose what will make me happy.
I have always been interested in the health field. Originally, I thought I would want to become a doctor, but as I learned the differences between what makes a doctor and what makes a nurse, I realized that a nurse is who I am meant to be.
I want to be a nurse, specifically a nurse practitioner. I have always been fascinated with the medical field and see a bright future in it for me. I have the opportunity of meeting new people every day with a variety of personalities. There is always something new to discover in this field. A nurse practitioner's job is to be able to diagnose and treat illnesses. They also prescribe medicine and run physical exams. I am highly interested in pursuing the career of a nurse practitioner because the healthcare field is always in need for medical professionals, it pays well, and I am helping people at the same time.
I want to be a nurse practitioner. I would like to be a nurse practitioner because, I could help people and I. I think when I am will still want to be a nurse. I want to go to college when I am older. I want people to smile because I helped them or their member in some way.
Growing up I had always been asked the infamous question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?", and my answer had always been a shrug or a simple "I don 't know yet". If I was asked the same question now, I could confidently and very passionately say, "I want to be a doctor; a humanitarian who brings positive change in someone 's life.". It seems like a very general statement but I truly hope to one day become somebody who can use her expertise and profession to help others.
I did not even give a second thought at turn it into a career, because I thought “oh artist don’t make a lot. What I didn’t realize is that if I could have followed my dream and put my all into making a successful career. Additionally, I lack the proper knowledge of the many different art-related careers I could or
When I was younger, I’ll be honest, I never gave a good thought about what I wanted to be when I grow up. I was content with what I was then and wasn’t exposed to many job options, and when asked, “what I wanted to be when I grew up”, I usually gave a really generic answer. I knew firefighting or being a nurse didn’t interest me, and I wasn’t really aware of what interested me the most because I didn’t have a favorite. I either liked it or I didn’t, that was it. Now I can say as I’m older, though I still struggle with being comfortable with a certain career choice, I guess I have a general idea.
Since a child, I had a desire to become an educator. I truly enjoyed playing school with my siblings and cousins; this involved me teaching them a make-believe school lesson. This was an activity I did as a game for enjoyment as a child. Whoever knew then, this would be the very profession I would be pursuing now. This has been a passion of mines for many years.
In order to prepare for this career in my future I would need to attend a college involving designing, fashion designing, and a type of art. The education I would need would be a two year to four year college for fashion designing and a one year to three year college for interior designing. These careers take a bachelors degree in some place of art. In order to want to attend college first of all I would have to maintain an acceptable grade point average of what I would possibly assume of a 2.5 or higher depending on the location of the college as well as the skill learning level of the college.
But I like sleeping even more than math. English is boring, but I really like reading books. Mr. Popper’s Penguins was a fun book, but it was really long. I want to be a doctor so I can help people get better. I liked helping people back in Manteca, especially my friends.
What if you can have a high-paying job where you can have a chance to mingle with the stars, make others look presentable and get paid by doing something you are passionate on? All of these are the perks of being a makeup artist! If you have the gift for making other people look glamorous and you have a good eye and good hands when it comes to makeup, then you should become a makeup artist. Career Opportunities Once you get a opportunity to enter into the business, you can have a opportunity to climb up being a makeup artist in salons and spas - to someone who does the makeup of movie and television stars!
As a child I had always been interested in medicine and the medical world. My passion of learning about the human body started when I was younger. I encountered many health problems throughout my toddler years. I looked up to the doctors and medical staff around me and continue to look up to them, they were and are still my heros. That is why my goal in life is to become a general surgeon. I want to be able to save many lives since it is possible now to do so now.
