Navy Corps I would like to enlist in the U.S. Navy because throughout my family, cousins and ancestors of mine was part of the U.S. army and it also interested me to be part of the U.S. navy because being in the U.S. navy makes you a veteran and also you help people but also get the chance to explore the world around you when you’re in a ship out in the sea and also lets you learn more about the ocean. The U.S. Navy also gives me different opportunities to join different type of jobs. Joining the U.S. Navy gives me the opportunity to learn about military technology and also learn about military firearms and blueprints. Learning about military firearms and blueprints may help me if I join the U.S. Marine corps so I can know how to handle a gun and how certain guns function like and statistics about that weaponry. Also learning about military technology gives me the knowledge to learn about computers, high-tech radar, scanners, and system programs. U.S. Marine Corps I took interest in the U.S. Marine corps because my cousin had joined the U.S. Marine corps for about 4 to 5 years and learned self-defense moves and other things which helped him get the job he has now. My other reasoning to joining the U.S. Marine is because when a U.S. Marine Officer came to my school to give us details on what they did, it made me interested on what to do to join and the eligibility of joining the U.S. Marine
Most or all of my reasons for joining the Marines are as follows. Ideal- The Marines Embody more of my personal views and ideals then the other branches of the armed services. Loyalty, I respect and love the idea of loyalty to a person or persons...or a cause. To be totally loyal to something without question but to also love and honor that something, that idea is something I long for and adore.
Military background and history has been in the world for a long time. It goes back as far as Assyrians, Spartans, Aztecs, Romans and Greek. The military purpose is mainly to protect our country and our rights and freedoms. It’s just a part of nature. It first started with random people coming together protecting towns and homes and families, and eventually more and more people came together. The three main branches of the military are The Army, Navy, and Marine Corps. All three of these branches are the reason the U.S is how it is. These branches fight for our freedom, our rights, and our country!! (Robbie Hughes Interview)
I grew up near Atlanta, Georgia where there were no active duty Air Force bases nearby. I also come from a family with no military background and was never encouraged to join the Air Force. I joined because my own personal internal reasons and nothing else. I played on my high school baseball team for four years, and in that time I grew to love the hard work, commitment, team work, and sportsmanship that it took to succeed during the season. In fact, between my junior and senior year of high school, the traits I learned from playing baseball stopped becoming traits and they started becoming my complete persona. I wanted to find a career field...

As I am preparing for a new chapter in my life, I have put a lot thought in about what I want out of life and what to look forward to as I get older. In order for one to achieve anything, they need to set goals to reach for. I have a handful of goals for my future, short term and long term, that I will actively work towards in my college years and beyond. In my time at UW Eau Claire, I plan to be involved and engaged in student activities on campus. Being active will help me meet new people, build a better resume, and have fun at college. At UWEC, I would like to get involved in anything musical, along with various clubs and Greek life. Similarly, another goal of mine is to have a job on campus. Having a job will not only help me make some
The United States has long been known for having a military presence that few would dare to challenge. The catalyst has not been in having billions in defense funds, it has not been in having huge weapons of mass destruction, it is the heart and spirit of the soldier. I am very proud to be a part of this long and proud tradition of upholding the ideals set forth in the U.S. Constitution. It is something that I would recommend to all willing and able college students. It instills a sense of pride and satisfaction that is matched by no other. As a soldier, there are many options as far as what type of soldier you wish to be. It is similar to choosing a career in the civilian world. The first step in this process is choosing your military branch. There are four main branches in the military; the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines.
The United States Army is the largest branch armed forces of the United States battling on land. Although it is the largest does not mean that it is the most important. All departments serve a very large role. The United States Navy serves as the most powerful navy in the world. They protect the United States on water. The United States Air Force keep a watch in the sky. They work on protecting us from all forms of terrorism and allies that the government feels are dangerous. All three branches combine for the same purpose. That purpose is to protect the country that we live in. Now military education does not mean nor include you being shipped off and having to fight in battle. Military education is attending a school that teaches you: Discipline, Faster Learning, Teamwork, Functionality Under Stress, Attention to Detail, and Punctuality. These six focuses military education stresses are what molds citizens into the white collared workers that everyone strives to
When I look at how mankind has evolved over years, it amazes me. My career goal is to become a mechanical engineer. I aspire to become skilled enough to create mechanics, which will improve people’s lives. I come from a very hardworking family. As the first son,a lot is expected from me to set good examples for my younger brothers.
My career choices have changed through the years from mother and housewife through architect, accountant, or teacher, finally I have arrived at a computer career. The following is an idea of the path I have followed.
“One machine can do the work of fifty ordinary men. No machine can do the work of one extraordinary man” (Hubbard 151). Elbert Hubbard, an American writer and the founder of Roycroft Artisan community, predicted the future with his epigram. His maxim would resonate for years to come and would be seen in the future job markets. For thousands of years, technology has fundamentally changed the way we live and interact with our environment. It has brought us from the Stone Age to the Industrial Revolution. It has taken us from the creation of the computer to the landing on the moon. Not only has technology affected the old, but also it has affected the youth. For the old and aged, modern technological innovations have brought about longer lives through medicine and other health care. People today are able to live longer, live stronger, and live happier. As for the youth and growing generations, technology has also affected them in various ways. From entertainment to education, technology has designed a generation that could never have been before imagined. But technology has not stopped there; it also has affected their future. From what careers they will pursue to how much they will earn, technology will play a big role. With the rise of new machines and equipment, thousands of jobs will be created that will range from ones that involve handling the machinery to ones that cannot be done by machinery. However on the other hand, new technology also takes away thousands of other jobs from society. As businesses look for ways to maker bigger profits, they will start replacing workers with machinery that could do the job faster and better. While the amount of unemployed may increase due to the advancement of technology, there will also b...
Most people imagine their dream job is to become a famous actor or a job they have seen done many times. Though because of the progression of technology I would be more suited in a field involving computers. My dream job is to become a successful software engineer because I have always been into computer systems, but can I fit this job, is the career life something I can manage and what opportunities should I go after when becoming a software engineer. Each time I notice how a program is used I wonder how can I make it become faster or more efficient. When you are using your cell phone or iPad there is usually an update at every month. This is because apple is improving the speed of your applications. A software engineer is sometimes overlooked, but without software engineer’s applications would either crash or would not improve. Although most people may feel looking at a computer all day and trying to fix it is uninteresting, I find it challenging
