Decisions, decisions, decisions. There are so many of them that we have to make everyday. Our life could even dramatically change from making one choice, no matter if it is good or bad. No matter what the outcome of a decision may be, we have to learn to take responsibility for our actions and take advantage of the next opportunity we get. Taking responsibility for our actions can be a very challenging thing to do at times. Even though it is sometimes like this, we have to learn how to not blame others for our mistakes. Not only does having personal responsibility make us humble, but it can also take away any future stress or problems that a person may have later on in his or her life. Although taking responsibility can be a hard thing to do at first, the more a person works at improving this quality, the easier it is to do it. This quality can also be contagious! That means that if people see a person applying this quality to their life everyday, they will eventually start doing it too! …show more content…
One of those things is that a person can gain a lot of trust from his or her peers. For example, one day I was at my friends house when I somehow managed to knock over a lamp. When my friend offered to take the blame, I told him no and told his mom the truth about what happened. I did not realize it then, but what I was doing gave my friend a lot of trust in me. Now, we tell each other anything and everything. That day is a big reminder for me to always be honest and true to myself, and everyone else. Although I do not always tell the truth the first time, I try my best and keep
A decision is a conclusion or resolution reached after consideration. Everyday, people run into difficult decisions. The choices you make in your life define you as a person. In choice to kill his best friend, in the short story “Honor” The Servant has to choose what lengths he is willing to go to bury his son himself, and in another short story “ Gentlemen, Your Verdict” the commander lieutenant Oram has to make the best decision is when they are faced with a sinking ship and little oxygen left.
Taking responsibility is “the state or fact of being responsible, answerable, or accountable for something within one's power, control, or management” (dictionary.com). When you decide to take the responsibility of something or someone then do it to your greatest ability and do not leave any stones unturned. In the novel Frankenstein, Mary Shelley determines the role of responsibility for the welfare, acts, the deaths and the lives of others. Taking responsibility means being accountable for your actions, accepting the mistakes and taking the ownership of the mistakes that come along with one’s actions. Taking responsibility does not mean that all the actions will go as planned but accepting the consequences even if they do not go
If we do not take responsibility for our own actions, we’ll also affect people around us. As we are growing older, we’ll be more independence to decide and choose, but we also need to be able to be responsible for
Actions are caused by ones personal choices, thus actions indeed speak louder than words. In today's society, people make a variety of decisions throughout their everyday lives. These decisions often lead to different outcomes and sometimes, they may cause a person to suffer consequences from his/her choices. Some people believe that everything happens for a reason; that everything happens because of fate. Others beg to differ as they consider that their decisions drive what fate has for them in the future and so they think that they are in control of their own destiny.
One concept that I have to keep in mind about being successful, is that I must ‘Accept Personal Responsibility’. Accepting Personal Pesponsibility allows me to see where I
Whenever something goes wrong there is a reason for it. More often than not this comes around to the fault of a human being, and in cases where it can be hard to determine that culprit usually did the action unintentionally. Just because that person did not purposefully commit a discretion does not mean that it was not their fault. Somewhere along the road before deciding on the wrong choice the culprit could have looked over something or made a smaller wrong decision which over time escalated into a major problem. Mary Shelley's novel, Frankenstein, reveals how everyone must take full liability for their actions, even if the results of those actions were indirect or unintentional; without this responsibility, side effects of actions would cause widespread harm.
Making the right decisions is an ongoing struggle for man, because making decisions is never easy, and the wrong decision can lead to endless perils. Decisions must be made when dealing with power, loyalty, and trust. Yet, unlike other decisions, ones that are about these three fields are the most important, due to the risk involved, and because of the consequences that might follow.
In my opinion, making decisions can be categorized into three levels. The first level is making decisions about daily life from choosing what to wear to making a plan for the weekend; making wrong decisions in such level does not have big effects. Making decisions about personal affairs is the second level, such as choosing a partner or a job; people cannot see clearly at this level, and making wrong decisions at the second level can have long-term consequences on their lives. The third level, which is the most difficult, is making critical decisions that determine the destiny of whole nations; at this level, leaders are put between two detrimental decisions and have to choose the least harmful one. Thomas Jefferson
The world we live in is overflowing with choices and chances. Every day, each and every human must make thousands of decisions. Some decisions may be rather simple to make, or not present a high chance for an unfavorable outcome. While one may decide the apple they picked up from the store is not very sweet, the cost lost on the apple is rather minimal and the consumer will most likely be presented with many more opportunities to pick a delicious apple. However, some choices are much more complicated. Decisions such as where to invest one’s money, or what physical challenges to endure, present very serious consequences. If the wrong decision is made, one could lose their financial security, or even their life.
Individual Social Responsibility is a moral belief where we as individuals, have a responsibility toward society. Being "socially responsible" is about all individuals behaving ethically and sensitively towards social, economic, and environmental issues. It is about being accountable for our actions and being conscious of the impact your actions have on others, our communities, and the environment.

Decisions, decisions! So, what we do is come up with some justification for the choice we have made, even though we are already questioning our decision, even as we make it. When the choices are so close to being equal, does it real...
I have asked my grandparent: “why are you take care of me for my parents”? My grandma answers me: “it is my responsibility”. During my childhood, I had been living with my grandparent, and I was really happy. However, the most important thing I learn from my grandparents, which is responsibility. The concept of responsibility is more than just being accountable for your mistakes; it involves being accountable for your actions, both to yourself and to others. When people are not willing take responsibility for person actions, the road to successful will becomes
Whenever you have something you need to talk about and you can’t tell anyone, you should be able to tell your friend. When trusting someone, you should be able to leave them with your most prized possession and not once think twice about whether it’s in safe hands.... ... middle of paper ... ... If you surround yourself with positive and goal-oriented people, you will most likely get the best out of life.
We make choices every hour, every minute, and every second of our lives; whether big or small our choices are slowly putting us in the direction we choose or end up. Many of us do not realize what contributes to the choices we make and why it affects others the same way if affects us and because of this many authors and writers have written stories and articles about coming to terms with making a choice and how to better ourselves when it comes to decision-making for the future.
