13 March 2017 Personality is something that defines who a person is, when taking a personality test I scored E(Extraverted),S(Sensing), F(Feeling), J(Judging). I tend to get my energy by being surrounded by people. Being in a group or with people make things interesting because most of the stories that end up being told are with someone else sharing that memory. This tends to hinder my learning and collaboration with classmates because I have to have a class that is well engaged in class activities. Having this personality type is also an advantage because I don't mind asking questions, meeting people, or working as a group and having some solo activities. (Having this personality type of ESFJ, this is an advantage in my academics because I am able to open up to new ideas of learning and work with others.)

Personality is the individual differences in characteristic patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. To me, personality means uniqueness. It is what sets us all apart from one another. Personality psychologist has coined five different traits into the Big Five. It consists of extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and openness to experience. Extraverts are people who are relatively sociable and outgoing while on the opposite end individuals who are introverts are people who would much rather enjoy the company of close friends and family. People who are high in agreeableness are more likely to be trustworthy. Those who are high in conscientiousness are goal-oriented. Individuals high in neuroticism
Personality is defined as the combination of characteristics or qualities that form an individual's distinctive character. Our personality has a huge influence on our enduring, distinctive thoughts, emotions, and behaviors which influence how we adapt to our world. It’s how we define ourselves, and how others view you. Many psychologists have faced the challenge of trying to determine where our personality is derived from. Four main theories have been established on personality including psychodynamic, humanistic, trait, and social-cognitive. Using these theories, you can often better understand why people are the way that they are, such as Bill Cosby.
For this project; I will be discussing the findings of my personality type. According to “Jung’s Personality Test”, I am an ENTJ. Various sources point to this type as;” The Executive.” The research I have done has brought tremendous insight into; who I am as a person, the functions of my thinking process and how to utilize my strengths to be more of an efficient/successful person. I also learned about the various careers the best suit my personality type which; helps me when It comes to job seeking after graduation. It is very important to know yourself and see how you can maximize on your God given potential. For that reason, I am very glad I took the personality test and studied this subject manner. I would advise everybody to do the same,
“Personality is the combination of traits that compose individuals. Our personality affects our behavior, out perceptions, and our attitudes (Lussier & Kimball, 2014, pg. 235).” It is important to understand personality in the workplace because it will determine how well your organization functions. For example, choosing an introverted person work in a large social setting would be a bad idea. The reason being introverted personality types tend to be shyer than extroverted type personalities. Extroverted type personalities tend to be more outgoing and will be more likely to engage with others. Introversion highly relates to me. I tend to work better with smaller groups or rather myself because it allows me to work to my fullest potential.
Personality is a branch of scientific discipline that studies temperament and its variation among people. It is a dynamic and a set of characteristics possessed by their atmosphere, cognitions, emotions, motivations and behaviours in various things. Personality conjointly refers to the pattern of thoughts, feelings, social adjustments and behaviour consistently exhibited over time that powerfully influences one’s exceptions, self-perceptions, values and attitudes. It also predicts human reactions to different folks, problems and stress.
Personality is one factor which is studied by researchers time and again. Every person has an exclusive behaviour. Consider an example of a family with three children, although all the children are grown up in the same environment, yet they are different from one another and also from their own parents. This individuality gives the person a personality. In our everyday life we come across a numerous people out whom some are very pleasing, some are not while there are some people for whom we have no particular feeling and still we have to get along with all these types of people in some or the other walks of life. It is certainly not possible to associate with only those people whom we like. For this we need to understand the fact that we not only have to know the personality of others around us but firstly we need to understand ourselves. Expressing and appraising people’s personalities is a prevalent phenomenon. This can be explicit or implicit. Pondering on how and why people behave in a particular manner is the regular feature of masses. Although the personality psychologists does the same thing but with a more formal approach. They assess personalities using the conceptions of personality which could be applied to anyone. While studying personality more closely one may get to know more about how and what make personalities differ or similar. Personality is the distinct mix of emotions, attitudes and behaviour patterns of a person. Personality is defined as “the organized, developing system within the individual that represents the collective action of that individual’s major psychological subsystems.”The word Personality originated from a Medieval Latin word personalitatem which means ‘fact of being an individual...
Type A Personality or Type A Behavior Pattern (TABP) include typical responses of competitiveness, time urgency, and hostility. Type A’s normally strive towards a goal without feeling a sense of joy in their efforts or accomplishments. They also seem to be in a constant struggle against the clock and become impatient with any delays and unproductive time. Type A’s also tend to see the worse in others and display anger, envy and lack of compassion (McLeod, 2017).
Personality is the unique characteristic patterns of thinking, feelings and behaviours of a person. Each person has different personality which distinguishes a person from another. In our life, we have to make decisions every day. The decision-making process is influenced by our logical thinking as well as our personality.
Personality can affect all different aspects of one’s life. There are links connecting personality to academic and occupational success and social relationships. Health can even be affected by personality because immunity can be altered by personality traits like sociability, optimism, and carelessness. Personality determines the way social interactions occur and when social relationships are determined by how the interactions occur personality can really affect the way one builds social relationships. Just like social relationships, academic and occupational success are affected by personality traits like carelessness, mastery, and agreeableness.
Personality takes many shapes and forms and is affected by many factors. My understanding of personality is simply a genetic and environmentally determined set of psychological traits that influence our reactions in the world around us. Genetic because our parents possess a certain set of psychological personality traits that we tend to have in common with them so therefore in my opinion there are heritable personality traits. Personality is environmental because we each have our own separate experiences in the world and these experiences help form our unique personality. Neo-Freudians such as Jung have given us a wide array of ideas of how they believe personality is developed and formatted. Jung in particular has a very interesting
Probably, we don’t need to examine all of them in detail; we only grab those could affect how to pick a meditation. The important traits for us are the Extroversion/Introversion, the Conscientiousness, and the Openness.

After searching through the personality disorders listed in the DSM-5, I realized how much I meet some of the criteria for Avoidant Personality Disorder. Honestly, I had never read about this disorder before now. Although my personality at this point in my life would not meet the full criteria for this disorder, I truly believe that I could have back when I was in high school. In this reflection, I will explain and elaborate upon how I did and do relate with some of the criteria for Avoidant Personality Disorder.
The world is an enormous place and one can only be distinguished by the badge we all wear that is our personality. Why are there different personalities and different kinds of people? Our unique personality is caused by our social environment, we are born with a part of it, and our perception to our experiences.
