Then you reach your hand out and feel the wall. You emerge out of the crystal blue pool water and have won! Michael Phelps and Dara Torres are two extraordinary swimmers who live their lives in the Olympic pools. As Justin and Jacob walk into the gym, both very scared, yet anxious to be assigned their sport, they can hear the sweat dripping and trainers yelling. As they walk into the office of the picker they see and hear kids crying from getting a sport they do not want to play. They sit in the chairs in front of the picker as she is looking over their forms and asking questions about their life. Then finally they both get assigned waterpolo. A sport they were ok with but definitely not their first choice. As they are done with their training and in their rooms they go to sleep to prepare for the next day of training.
During my four years of high school I believe that my involvement in sports has helped me become a better person in life. I participated in varsity basketball and Track & Field all four years and my experience in both sports has taught me life lessons that I can carry with me for the rest of my life.

Basketball is one of the many sports I play. It clears my mind from everything. It helps me focus. I don't know what else I would do to burn energy. It really helps me connect with my friends. It's one of the only things I really like to do. I play basketball almost every day. I like basketball because most my friends do it. It has always been basketball.
Swimming has been my whole life, since I jumped into the pool for the very first time. I loved every aspect of swimming from the adrenaline running through my body during my races and getting to spend even more time with my friends and my sister, and the stress of big meets coming up in the schedule. Except everything didn't go according to plan after the first day of school when I got home and I saw my parents sitting by my sister on the coach and my sister was crying.

When I was a university student about two years ago, I enrolled in a scuba diving course. My scuba diving teacher had a big surprise: I didn’t know how to swim. In fact, I had a big fear of water. When I was a child, my parents tried to help me, so they made me take many swimming courses. Although I tried hard, I did not learn to swim. When I enrolled in the scuba diving course, I was still afraid of water. Every day when I entered the swimming pool, I battled with my fear. Fortunately, my courage won every time. Finally, one day while I was practising my dive, I realized that I did very well. So, finally, after six months of hard work, I completed the course. Swimmers from all around the world come and here and compete. There is a lot of competition there I have found out a lot about the history of swimming. There are a lot of events and tons of records that have been broke. A lot of Olympians have set future goals to stride for.
To date, the pool has ceased to be an attribute of luxury and at present almost everyone can afford it. Many people think about how to build a swimming pool with their own hands. But at the same time, it is not the ability to do this on your own, but how to build a swimming pool is decisive - it depends on it whether it will serve you impeccably for a long time.
Swimming is one of the few sports that can start at a very young age and can continue to do well into there 60s. When learning how to swim at a young age, it can look very overwhelming but as for every sport, the more practices the child gets the better they will become. Learning how to swim is a long process and it’s even longer on when teaching a child how to swim. Children at a young age are very afraid to get into water and even more afraid to get there head wet. Children fully don’t understand that swimming in a swimming pool is closely related to taking a shower.

The one thing that an athlete doesn’t want to hear is that they cannot play their favorite sport because of an injury they recently got. This actually happened to me when I injured my knee while lifting high amount of weight. After my lifting class I was walking perfectly and prepared to get through the rest of the day. Only an hour later I couldn’t walk with my right leg and had to limp through the rest of the day. Two hours after I was limping and trying not to cry from the sharp, acute sting in my right knee.
Swimming is a physical activity that has that has a long part in human history, that has evolved a lot since the past, and is very beneficial to the health of your not only your body but also your mind.
Adding exercises into one’s daily routines can change their whole lifestyle. Many people look at exercise as being something just for people who want to lose weight or to become muscle bound, but there are a great deal of benefits that can be received from exercising regularly. Of course gaining muscle and losing fat are the two most popular reasons that usually attract people to the gym, but they make up a small part of the potential benefits that can be achieved with exercise. There are several ways in which I have benefited in my life from exercising regularly, besides just making me bigger and stronger. It has made me become more organized, helped me make better decisions, and motivated me to take on new challenges in life.
