Motivation is by being dedicated. I motivate myself by doing the things I love. Dedication will advance to motivation. The things I do to motivate me are marksman training, weightlifting, and cooking. Those activities motivate me to become better in life. Motivation comes in all different forms, and it depends on how a person perceives it. Motivation can be anything, and affects each person differently. A person can have multiple ways of inspiration that encourage them to succeed. A person has to be at the right place in the right time, and it’s just a matter of finding it.
As I’m sitting here typing this, I thought this assignment would be easy but it’s not. How do you explain who you are in a paper? Where do I begin? Well, for starters, my personality, ambitions, and what I love doing should be the best standard for defining my character. One should never be anxious if they do not know everything about themselves, as we are constantly learning and discovering new features of ourselves. Personally, I am satisfied knowing my friends are worth it and consider me an asset. I’m the shortest one in my group of friends which puts me somewhat the end of the ladder. Someone might judge me just because of the way I look or act but, if they could just get to know me even more and see my personality they can see me in a whole new way.
It's hard for me to say where I'll be in the years to come, already my life has strayed from the path I once thought it would follow. However, that doesn't change my motivation or determination to reach and excel at my personal goals. My whole life I've endured a system that dictated what should be important to me, and while it's helped me learn the practical skills I need outside of an academic setting, I have a passion to grow further from what's expected of me, and so with much enthusiasm I look forward to attending college in which I hope to achieve more by constantly learning and expanding my personal knowledge.

Motivation is best defined as the needs, wants, and beliefs that drive an individual. It is the basis of what people work for and keeps them doing things they otherwise would never do. People act in a whole new manner when they are motivated by something. Motivation gives them a whole new perception of the task at hand. Motivation is not always positive though, and it does not always just come from one place, for example, your boss. Motivation can be negative by not receiving something, and contrary to popular belief it is not always money that motivates people to do what they do. People have different needs, wants, and desires and the finding what is most important to those individuals is the key to motivation. People and companies have used countless techniques and approaches to motivate others and employees, but what works for one person does not necessarily work for the other.
It’s not uncommon to struggle with motivation. It’s a tricky beast to tame, but it’s also incredibly powerful. A bout of motivation every day is all you need to sustain a career move or pursue a personal goal over the long-term.
Staying motivated to keep healthy can be a difficult task, but there are certain motivators that help me going. I have been struggling with weight issues for a while and it was not easy for me to start a diet/workout and stick to it. I had a negative body image that affected my emotions as well. I was not happy with the way I looked or felt. Eventually, I told myself that I didn't want to feel that way anymore. Recently, I have started working out and changing my eating habits for good. One of my major motivators is the fact that I do not want to go back to feeling sad or depressed and nor do I want to waste all the effort I have made. It motivates me when I wake up and look at myself in the mirror to find that not only am I reaching my weight loss goals, but my health goals as well. Working out releases endorphins as well and by the time I am done with my workout, I feel happy. I don't want to lose that feeling. Also, I have more energy, which keeps me going. If I were to stop working out, I would no longer have that. My sister also provides great motivation for me since she is also working out and eating healthier. She pushes me to keep going when I think I can't. Moreover, while the scale might scare people, everytime I find that I have lost weight, that motivates me further. I also like reading and seeing success stories, because that further proves to me that it is possible. Hearing other people talk about their routines and how their health has improved is always a great motivator.
