What makes me is football, I used to play but I don’t play anymore because I lost interest. I always watch football games though. I like to hang out with my brothers and on the weekends I go with my dad and we hang out at his house. I think that Kutcher is an outstanding man and that the speech he gave was very inspiring to the audience and people watching. The first thing Kutcher says is that there is 3 main things. These are opportunities, being sexy, and living life. When Ashton Kutcher said “The sexiest thing in the entire world is being smart” I agreed. I think that if you are smart, you attract to more people, being smart shows to other people that you are capable of doing anything that you want. But when he said everything around
Is High School football a sport, or is it more than that to some people? I’ve learned that the book is more sociological, which means that it focused on our human society of racial issues and also emphasizes the economy and the divide between the wealthy residents of one city versus the more working-class denizens of another are all subjects that are given an in-depth examination. This is more of the main or focal point of the whole book and in not so much in the movie. Although Bissinger's story is a true-life recounting of the 1988 football season of the Permian High School team, it reads like fiction and even though I believe his book is superior, the theatrical adaptation still stands apart as one of the great football movies ever to see in theaters. In the movie it was that team unit that was most significant in the development of the tale. Almost 80 – 90% of the book is in the film but there still are some differentiated contrasts found in the book in comparison to the movie. It has the intensity and the realism that kids were and are and also captures the...
Deion Sanders, also known as Prime Time, is probably one of the most successful athletes in the sports world. Not only did he start off young as a football star, but he also was able to become a pro baseball player as well. Ever since high school he's been a star: his goal was to become a famous, wealthy, and admired athlete. Playing both football and baseball, he was able to achieve this goal. Sanders is the only man to play in both a Super Bowl and a World Series. He became an all star from a young age, playing basketball, football, baseball, and track. He was able to letter in all sports and took his skill and talent with him to Florida State University to further his career. Though he had all this success, Deion Sanders eventually ran into his own problems and drama creating much controversy, marriage and religious conflicts, and almost ending his career. But he was able to learn from these experiences and shape his future in a positive way.
He graduated top of his class and the speech was a chance to showcase his potential
Overall, The speech was very well presented and had a decent balance of humor within it. There was a nice touch towards the end where he sincerely thanked people who had gotten him to where he is today. Whenever you receive an award it is always good to give credit where it is due as this can help you gain more respect from your audience. Speaking in to a group this large while on television is not something that everyone can do and I feel that Will Ferrell did a good job in demonstrating the message in which he wanted to get
"I never wanted to be mediocre at anything. I wanted to be the absolute best," says Deion Sanders
When I was accepted into the University of Oklahoma, I was not aware of the tradition or prestige that the football team carried. Moreover, I had no idea about the honor it was to don the crimson and cream in the arena of athletics. And, I never envisioned rooming with them. I enjoyed sports, but I loved reading and writing more. Initially, I was focused on building a collegiate career that one day would propel me to my goal of studying law. Yet, the more time I spent interacting with the athletes, the more parallels I noticed between their personalities and mine. Their diligence, perseverance and compassion were all traits that I could identify with since they were reflective of me. For the most part, the majority of the athletes were hungry to achieve and they desired knowledge at all costs; a combination that still resonates with me today.
Following the injury, Smith was introduced by one of his former teachers in drama to acting by signing him up to be part of a school play but he was adamant. He described his grief from quitting football and his wanting to be a football player instead of an actor.
When you really lay out all of his attributes both on and off the field you really start to see the bigger picture. Not only is this guy one of the best in the NFL now but he could be one of the best wide receivers in the history of the league. He will not be remembered solely as an amazing talent however, he will also be remembered for his of the field activities. Such as helping out the paralyzed kid in need of a friend in tough times, or helping kids in need of a role model. For everything that he has shown me to this point, even after he is old and done with football he will be a great man to others in his society in the future. His story goes to show all people adults, and kids alike that if you keep a good head on your shoulders, and never quit you can achieve your biggest and wildest dreams.
Football has been a great sport for years. he went big playing college sports. One day I hope to play college sports or go bigger. He made WFMS and WFHS football players that went to weights stronger,
The movie we watched showed all the emotions that can come from sport. Whether it would be a gratifying moment with a win for your team, or a devastating moment with a loss. That is what makes you grow when you are a younger kid growing up. A kid who can handle a loss in his life with the same dignity as a win will become a better person in the future.
Even by just watching this movie, I felt the strong understand of challenging yourself for the better instead of going with the status quo of failure. Instead of accepting what seems to come for you, change your future, because every moment counts. And just because you may not win every time, doesn’t mean you didn’t learn anything. You could’ve learned education, self worth, and individuality within a team. Now you’ve won something that could change a person for a lifetime. And that’s why I really enjoyed this movie. I enjoyed the opportunities to interpret the obvious messages differently. That’s why someone else might get a different vibe out of the Coach Carter. And that’s more than I could hope for in a movie.
Many hard times came to him, bad times made him down, but he has proven that he can go the distance. He dares to take the most challenging acts possible which make him be honored. His talents make me call him "The eccentric actor." Even now he is more famous but still he doesn't become an arrogant person, he is still honorable, he is still a caring person. He's still the same like he was. His life makes me believe that to try something different is not a horrible thing, it is a fun thing if we live in it. He makes me realize that life still has many good things to fight
The development of my identity emerged from my ability to play the sport of football. Football shaped me into how I behave, speak, move, and how I view life as a whole. However, I didn’t grow up around football, but I grew up around sports.
... an inspiration to free-thinkers everywhere, living a life of spontaneity and mindful thinking. Through everything that he has been through, Depp has become the voice, face, and look of a generation of wanderers. Depp's life was filled with excitement, directly stemming from his willingness to follow his heart and do whatever it is that he felt he must do. There is something about that mindset that makes an audience fall in love immediately, and that is the appeal of Johnny Depp in every character he plays.
The “Kenyon Commencement Speech,” by David Foster Wallace, explains the intellectual thought process of how people think in the white-collar business’s higher-income lifestyle, while “Blue-Collar Brilliance,” by Mike Rose, depicts how a blue-collar worker develops great cognitive skills through working a lower income job. While these passages have separate settings, in which one shows the life-style of college graduate in commission and the other a simple high school graduate’s career, both give great insight on the proper meaning of intelligence and its overall impact on a worker’s mentality. Many ideas on the opinion of intelligence white-collar and blue-collar jobs require
