The Time My Dad and I Stole Santa In my neighborhood people are really nice and normal and not weird at all. Nobody fights and people just live regular. My neighborhood is going down a hill so it's very windy. One night a couple of years ago my dad, my next door neighbor and i did something crazy. It was christmas time and everyone had their christmas decorations up. There was no snow and it looked really weird. One of my neighbors across the street had a bunch of christmas lights and christmas decorations. In particular, they had a giant, light-up, inflatable santa. It looked so weird. We joked about taking it and putting it in our yard but we were never really serious. One night The neighbors had came over. They were a couple and their …show more content…
It was really hard because it was pitch black and We couldn’t find them all. Eventually, we got it and took it to another neighbor's yard who had christmas lights. We found an outlet connected to some christmas lights and hooked it up. We then propped up the santa so it was facing their windows. After that we went to bed.
The next morning my dad was going to work and when he passed the house we put it at it wasn’t there. He got scared because he thought it blew away because we didn’t stake it down. My dad called the neighbor when he got to work and found out they put it in there garage. So that afternoon we had to go bring it back. When we got there with santa we knocked on their door. The neighbor came out and kept saying sorry and thanking us for retrieving santa. He thought it blew into our yard or something. My dad told him what really happened and he seemed to get annoyed. He told us to just plug it back in and stake it down. We did that quickly and left because it was so cold. A few days later we got a call from him about how we didn’t do a good job staking it down and how santa kept falling over. We had to go back in the cold and it took like 30 minutes to get it right. It was really fun and funny but it sucked having to put it
As the reindeer got hooked up to the sleigh the helpful elves shook the bells on the reins, as they shook them everyone made a large uproar of joyful cheers and laughter. The main boy realizes that he is unable to hear the wonderful sounds made by the bells. As the bells are shaken more and more one particular silver bell falls from the harness and rolls right to the boy, he picks it up and shakes it and hears nothing, he repeats to himself “i believe, i believe.” he shakes it once more and finally hears it’s sweet sound. Hearing the bell and seeing Santa Claus, finally diminished his doubts about the magic of the Polar Express, Christmas, and Santa. Just before heading home the boy realizes he had lost the bell given to him by Santa. On Christmas morning his sister found one small box under the tree with the silver bell inside with a note from Santa, reassuring to the boy that his journey was real and in fact not a dream, and reminding him that seeing is believing. Even as an adult the boy could still hear the bells beautiful
Santa’s been on every Neopet’s mind since the first Day of Giving, leaving less room for the other Holiday Neopets. While most focus on pleasing Mr. Claus, these Holiday Neopets are just as important because they each add their
Most people know the story of Santa. While there are many different versions, the gist of it is the night before Christmas, while children are sleeping, a fat man slips down the chimney to distribute gifts to boys and girls that have been good all year. The story was meant to bring hope and joy to children. It was a tale of giving and of love. However, as time goes on characters change, sometimes for better, and sometimes they take a turn for the worst.
Through extensive research and quoted material, this paper will display how the legend of Santa Claus has grown and developed through history to become a modern day icon of the Christmas holiday season.
One might ask, where did the tradition Santa Claus come from? The answer to this question unfortunately is not quite as straight forward. Somehow this tradition wove itself into the holiday season during the 4th century from Turkey, where a wealthy bishop, by the name of Nicholas habitually gave gifts to children. Following the death of Nicholas, he was honored as a saint, Sinter Nikolass, and a holiday was established in honor of him on December 6th. Dutch people in the Netherlands later shortened the saint's name to Sinter Klaas, which eventually evolved into Santa Claus in the US following Dutch i...

When the reindeer come out the boy cannot hear the bells ringing at first but upon shouting that he does believe, the bells start to ring. Santa then chooses him to receive the “first gift of Christmas” and he asks for a bell from Santa’s sleigh. When all of the kids get back on the train the boy realizes that he has lost the bell. On Christmas morning, his sister finds a small present hidden behind the tree; the boy opens the present and discovers that it is the bell,
Now his cleverest elves develop amazing technology, including a hologram to hide the North Pole and a time machine to allow Santa to deliver presents to every home in the world, in just the one night. Bernard, an elf, dreams of creating such inventions, but his job is to clean the reindeer stables. Yet when he creates an amazing Christmas memory machine, his luck might be changing. But Bernard's invention is broken by a curious elf, causing the North Pole's power to fail and the hologram hiding it to disappear. Now exposed to the outside world, it is spotted by Santa's enemy, Neville Baddington, who is determined to steal Santa's secrets for himself.

Christmas decorations should create a feeling of magic. The desire to create a magic home and bringing the spirit of Christmas can seem heavy these days. It becomes heavy and hard to carry, that parents now feel over the need to make
Santa, the elves, the reindeer, and everyone else at the North Pole are heading towards the sligh shed to start loading the toys! As the grand doors swing open, everybody yelps in shock. The sleigh is gone. Santa tells everyone to split up and find the sleigh. With only five minutes till takeoff, an elf shouts “ I found Her”.
Christmastime was always a magical time of year for me. The beautifully decorated shopping malls, with toys everywhere you looked, always fascinated me. And the houses, with the way their lights would glow upon the glistening snow at night, always seemed to calm me. But decorating the Christmas tree and falling asleep underneath the warm glow of the lights, in awe that Santa Claus would soon be there, was the best part of it all. As a child, these things enchanted me. Sure, the presents were great, but the excitement and mystery of Christmas; I loved most of all. Believing…that’s what it was all about. Believing there really was a Santa and waking up Christmas morning, realizing he’d come, as my sleepy eyes focused on all the fancily wrapped presents before me.
Christmas was always a big event in our family. We always spent Christmas Eve with my father's family and Christmas Day with my mom's. There was always a lot of food and many gifts, but for the first four or five years of my life, I had no clue what we were celebrating. I really don't think I cared too much, being a young child caught up in all the excitement. And I had something to call it. Christmas. That's all I really needed until I stumbled upon a Christmas special on television entitled A Charlie Brown Christmas. I must have been four or five years old at the time, I can't remember for sure, but I don't think I had started kindergarten yet. But I know I was curled up in a Sesame Street sleeping bag in front of our old television set, one of the small older models instead of the giant entertainment centers like we have now.
The park was empty when we arrived. I had no dought that my dad told
Ever since I could remember, I have spent Christmas at my grandmother’s house, a house which is full of comfort, warmth, and happiness. At Christmas, I have always been able to escape the cold and dark real world allowing myself to truly enjoy just several moments in time. These moments have left impressionable memories from my childhood making Christmas a holiday that is special to me and my family. It is a time for my family to get together, share stories, laugh, and even cry.
