I always watched the Packers game on T.V is my living or in my basement during football season but I always wondered what it was like to really be at the game. What was it like to be in the stadium and watch the game with thousands of people cheering, eating, and yelling? On December 15th it was my birthday and I got tickets to a Packer playoff game against the Lions the game was schedule sometime later in December. I was so excited that I got to finally experience a Packer game and know what it feels like to be in stadium during a game. It was the day of the game and I couldn't wait to leave I just wanted to get there soon as possible. It was just Me, my mom, and my dad that went to the game because neither of my sibling like football. …show more content…
I bought a couple shirts and sweatshirts just to wear later because I knew it was going to get colder as the day went on. We were now making our way to the stadium there was a large line with multiple different security checks I had to put anything that had metal in it into a bin as I walked through the metal detector. I couldn't believe it I was finally at Lambeau field about to watch my favorite NFL team play at a playoff …show more content…
We got lunch at one of the food stands and ate at a table we found open which was hard to do since so many people where already inside the stadium already. Once we ate lunch it was about 2:00pm so we decided we should find our seats our seats where behind one of the goal posts. As we were walking to our seats the Packers where warming up it was crazy to think that I was in the same Stadium as the Packers. The stadium had a big screen to show close up of the game so we didn't have to worry about a bad view. It was time for the game to start and I couldn't wait through the whole game Packer where just barley ahead of the Lions. About two hours into the game my feet where starting to numb out from the cold but I couldn't leave the score was so close. The time was down to the last minute and Packers were ahead by a field goal as time ran close to the end people where leaving so we decided to do the same. The packers ended up winning I was glad they did but I still had a long walk back to our car in the parking garage we parked
Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen. Meeting this evening as a group Green Bay Packer and NFL fans we recall many unforgettable moments in Packer history. From big hits to miraculous passes, we will have in the back of our minds forever. Every Sunday we are glued to the television watching the Packers. Win or lose our fans have always been there to support the team. It is a privilege to have with us a man who thrilled many spectators. Win or lose he was always there to boost the fans and players moral, Brett Favre.
On the plane ride home and in the airport I was still thinking about the game. The Carolina Panthers had blown out the Buccaneers by 30 points! Cam Newton scored 3 touchdowns himself! I was still excited about the whole game until I fell asleep in the
GAME SETTING: Detroit’s Briggs Stadium...October 1955 in front of 51,438 rained-soaked fans from a hailing storm, as the conditions on the field were far less than favorable—for any team—let alone for a miraculous comeback victory for the visitors from California. The two-minute warning had just been issued, as the clock’s hands slowly circled the dial, and when it displayed 0:00 ending the game, and the Lions would be victorious. The 49ers had trailed by 18, (24-6)
On our way to the ball field it took longer than I expected it to because the traffic was so hectic from the people trying to get to the ball game. When we finally arrived, I was more excited than I had ever been. After we barley found a parking spot we made our way to the baseball field. I had never seen so many people having the time of their lives. The outside of the stadium was amazing, the size and beauty astonished me. Their were people everywhere scurrying around trying to get in the door to find their seats so that they could get a good look at the players warming up in pre game.
The impact this game had on the NFL is pretty crazy and it changed the look at the playoffs. Going through the season for both teams it was pretty remarkable they even had a chance to make it to the playoffs. Matt Flynn will go down as bringing the best comeback ever and he doesn't even play anymore. There has been other great comebacks in packer history; however, none of them had an impact to the season like the Packers vs Cowboys. Lions vs Packers comeback was an amazing game, especially with the hail mary to finish. That game did not really determine are playoff hopes as much as the cowboys game
The origin of the love of the game is hard to pinpoint specifically, but nevertheless my story begins 14 years ago. I was 7, learning new things and questioning every thing I saw. At the age of 7, we really don’t have the best understanding of how the world works nor do we understand our placement in it, but from that age with the little help of a game I began to understand thoseaspects of life more. The game is baseball, and from the age of 7 I have been completely immersed in it.
I'm going to start off by saying I've wanted to do picks for a while, I have just been beyond busy or in other words lazy. That being said let us start with the teams on bye this week. Also a quick note:I did not call the Thursday night game because if you watch a game between the Bills and the Jets, then turn around the next week and watch a game between the Jaguars and the Titans, God help you.
I enjoyed the praise and cheers from my teammates that are like my brothers. They all contributed to my success and lifted my high as they knew that this moment I would never forget for the rest of my life. I honestly did not want to leave the field that night so I meandered and fooled around with everyone for the longest time after the game. After the game I met up with my mother and father as they seemed to look more proud than I was at the time. They talked to me and told me how great I have become over the years of hard work and dedication.
The halftime show was very fun and enjoyable to say the least. Then the second half was played and the Packers had won the game. After the game was over, it was time for trophy presentations. Then after those were all over, it was time to walk back to the bus and go home with an amazing memory for the rest of my
Following one’s hometown team or childhood NFL team through the regular season, playoffs, and hopefully, the Super Bowl has become a staple of today’s culture. Whether or not their favorite team makes it to the big Super Bowl game, they still find themselves cheering on one of the teams competing. This is even the case for non-football fans.... ... middle of paper ... ...
The people there were friendly even though they were complete strangers I've never met in my life. The stadium was in good shape for being as old as it is. Wrigley is a big place probably one of the biggest places I've been. Sitting there with all those people I never was in that big of a crowd or imagined being in that big of a crowd. The rush of the fans, the excitement of all the people screaming, the adrenaline you get for when it’s the top of the 9nth and your team is up by 1 just need to get the outs.
My classmates and I had to take the subway, it was really crowded, my face was literally glued to the window. The subway roared with cheering fans, it shook the whole train station. The train finally made it to our destination, everyone scattered out subway like cockroaches. The TD garden stadium, arena was stunning. This has been my first time ever viewing Boston Celtics vs. Milwaukee Bucks live instead of watching it in my family room. The seats of TD Garden's stadium rumbled with faith to encourage the Celtics. I met Rajon Rondo on the sideline, he was injured, so he unable to participate in the game. He had a great sense of humor and great sportsmanship. Even though the Boston Celtics lost the game, it was awesome an experience for my classmates and I. The next morning, it was time for us to fly back home to
My cousin and I went into the stands and got the perfect seats front row. We could see everything. Our excitement grew even more. Finally when it rounded 7 o’clock the first tractor had gotten all set up to
Thumbs Out A girlfriend of mine once defended me to her father by saying, calmly, “Not everyone who wanders is lost.” The dad kicked me out of the house anyway. But the damage had been done. Not everyone who wanders is lost.
How could I? We were in year 6 at the top of the schools hierarchy and
