Standing up for someone Did you ever stand up for something you thought was right even though a lot of people got upset with you? If so, what happened? If not, do you ever think you would ever be strong enough to do so? Well, know that I think about it no I haven't said something and everyone disagrees, but what I will share with you today is what I have heard and would really like to stand up to that bully. It happened when I was in the classroom and I heard someone saying that the other person was disgusting. I really had the urge to go up to them and say something but I didn't. That day I really hope that I did stand up for that person cause saying something to a bully could've made that person's day.
As young adults from the twenty first century we are taught that bullying is bad and we should stand up against it or help those who are being bullied. I agree that when citizens are judge for being themselves we should stand together. Due to Donald Trump’s Presidency men and women have come together to stand up for women’s equal rights. For example, this past weekend the Women’s March took place almost all over the world from Australia to Alaska, men and women all different race, religion, etc. Participated on helping women grow stronger and showing Trump supporters they won't be a matt for them to step on, just like Hitler saw the Jews.
As I’m sitting here typing this, I thought this assignment would be easy but it’s not. How do you explain who you are in a paper? Where do I begin? Well, for starters, my personality, ambitions, and what I love doing should be the best standard for defining my character. One should never be anxious if they do not know everything about themselves, as we are constantly learning and discovering new features of ourselves. Personally, I am satisfied knowing my friends are worth it and consider me an asset. I’m the shortest one in my group of friends which puts me somewhat the end of the ladder. Someone might judge me just because of the way I look or act but, if they could just get to know me even more and see my personality they can see me in a whole new way.
I remember one time were this older High School kid for whatever reason felt the need to punch a younger 1st year scout. He got in trouble for it but I had to decide his punishment. Together with a board of adults and the kids parents I had to make the final decision and decide his fate. He was banned from scouting until the next summer camp which was for about 2 months. This was a hard decision for me as for I have never had to do anything like that
Have you ever had to be brave like stand up to the bully , or walk in the dark. Brave, ready to face or indure danger or pain,or showing courage.Thats exsactly what I was perpared for when I had to stand up to one of my rude friend. I knew I had to stand up to her because if I didn't she would keep walking over me. This is the time that I had to be brave and tell my friend that is was not ok with her doing what she was doing.
Bullying is just something that proves people do not care for each other. ” If you can't fly, then run,if you can't run, then walk,if you can't walk, then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward. ”Martin Luther King Jr. was a civil rights activist. Martin Luther King Jr. put his heart and soul into ending racism for people and for the future.
If you never stand for what you honestly believe is right, people will always feel the need to say or do things to try to intimidate you. That’s why I feel we as human should always show signs of strength which is standing strong on whatever it may be that we feel is right and if it is wrong state that it is wrong. You should never feel remorseful about something you want to do. There is no need to be afraid to do what you want to
Picture this; the small, nerdy kid in your class opens his locker. Little did he know that the big, athletic kid was standing behind him. The big kid slams his locker shut, and spinning him around, he shoves his books down. The small kid struggles with all his might to get past the athletic kid but it is no use and he stumbles and falls next to his books. A few kids in the hallway observe, but do nothing. The bully gives one last insult and then walks away. It is important to stand up for what you believe in because you can help other by showing them how to be courageous.
I made it my obligation to undo my wrong and be more of a leader and was able to have others follow by example. By being more friendly and thoughtful the individual was able to feel some relief and make new friends while attending school. By me being in this situation at a young age help me become fully aware of what I wanted to do in life which is helping others because of me helping and supporting this individual it made me feel positive about my change in uplifting another human being. The impact it has had on my view of bullying and torment to others now that I am older and more, wiser is when I’m in a situation where I’m thinking cruelty or someone is being cruel in my presence. I always think back to fifth grade and put myself in that persons position I also believe that this life experience will go a long way in helping others to the best of my ability with their problems or issues they are dealing with by looking beyond myself and helping my future patient I’m able to look beyond myself I feel I can be more useful and valuable to my community and peers I can teach them my life experience and what I learned so they won’t have to make the same mistakes that I have , I want my experience that I faced to change
occurring while I was in school, but now that I look back at it I realize that it did.
Is bullying a dehumanization? To me, no doubt it is a YES. Have I ever got bullied before? Well, many people have tried to bully me since kindergarten, but nobody have actually made me felt bullied, I suppose I figured out a way to avoid being bullied. That is, always stick up for yourself, hide your weakness from bullies, and always fight back to show your strength, this is one of the thing that happened and indicated my concept.
As I slowly wake to the sounds of ocean waves and the smell of hot chocolate I reach and grab my phone. As I get out of bed and began to get ready I play my favorite songs singing loud and off key without a care in the world. As I walk down stairs the aroma of chocolate chip pancakes fills air. As I sit down to eat the taste dancing on my tongue, I can’t help but smile with glee. Once I finished eating I get in a cab that takes me to rehearsal for dancing with the stars. My partner Sasha Farber and I eminently begin working on our samba. We run through it so many times I feel like I can do it in my sleep.
It’s important to stand up for what you believe in because it shows you have pride in yourself and not caring what others have to say. Sometimes you have to stand up for what you believe in even if you stand alone, it is easy to stand with the crowd it, takes courage to stand up alone and believe what is right for you. For example, standing up for what you believe in you can help others by speaking up when they need help, or you feel like they need it. Especially when racism is happening Everyone has equal rights, everyone is the same, we are all human, if you see racism happening most people would not say anything or help them out, if i ever see that happen in front of me i would speak up to the person and tell them, what they are doing is wrong
I asked my father if I should tell the principle that the boys’ bathroom was vandalized by a person named Ian. He said no I shouldn't, but I wasn't sure. So I asked my mother if I should, she said I should do what I thought was right. I told the principle and as a result I had lost a friend. I might have made a mistake but next time I won’t.
I decided to talk to one of my best friends from church expecting her to have the right answer and encourage me to stand up for that girl. To my surprise, like everybody else at my school she told me to just ignore her. That night before I went to sleep I decided to read the Bible and see what Jesus had said about this. With a miracle performed by God I turned to the exact verse I needed to reinsure my notion. Proverbs 31:8 says, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed. With this idea in my head I decided to sleep on it before I do something
