That’s one of my best decision’s thus far and most likely one of my top 5 best decisions I will make in my entire life. Giving up is something I’ve thought about often. Sometimes when things don’t work out in your favor or maybe you just fail, it makes you feel small, minimized, and disturbed. I’ve learned that if I feel any of those ways, changing my negative into a positive is best. Not just any positive, a positive that benefits me and my future. So when I get down, I watch Property Brothers. Not only are Drew and Jonathan gives me an extensive look into interior design, they’re also a great tool to help me gain not only enlightenment but knowledge watching their show. The fact that they’re hilarious is just an added bonus. …show more content…
My favorite things to do are making things look virtuou¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬s, clean and functional. Plus, I have this thing about over analyzing everything, wanting every piece of the puzzle perfectly sat, proportioned, and appealing. Ordinarily when I was younger, you could find me walking around store’s organizing their products or displays. Putting things back in their place or front facing items. At eight years old I would go to my mom’s job which was Tj Maxx. Just to sort, adjust, and re display either the toys or their shoe department. My mom’s coworkers would put money together, to pay me for the hard and exceptional work I would put in at such a young age. Being as though I love to over analyze everything, I wanted to be an event planner. To me that was fool-proof. Making a successful plan and put something beautiful, appealing and virtuous together. I also thought about how stressful that may be though, so I decided to do interior decorating on the side. Just so that I had an outlet to relax and think to myself, I figured helping someone’s event look spectacular is one in the same with making someone’s home look just as amazing. Plus, having some good ole retail therapy, is better than a
Each of these reflects some aspect of my personality or my daily activities. For instance, I am currently learning how to play the piano and other forms of music and enjoy getting feedback; this could be considered a form of Performing Arts, as well as my participation in church and school-based chorus throughout the years. Additionally I combine my love of Visual Arts and Programming to create small video games or mess with websites for fun. As far as Mechanics & Construction go, fixing broken devices around my house before they were thrown away was something that I used to do, but haven’t for awhile. This leaves only one interest area almost completely unused, Office Management. I would consider this a work-based interest, and a lifestyle choice of sorts: I like having things organized and efficient. My current job, however, is as a team member, and it is not in my responsibilities to organize items or people, so therefore, this interest goes unused in my
...e is easy. But this is not the reason why you should give up. Keep your hopes alive and you will be surprised of what you can accomplish if you can only set your mind to it. Because after all, you only live once, so why not try to make the most of it. Again, Sherman Alexie shows us in his book, The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, how the entire Spokane Reservation is facing poverty but Arnold and Mary Spirit fight for a better life. He goes through all the problems the characters face in the book, and how some choose to live the horrible condition for the rest of their lives but some keep their hopes alive and try their best to break the cycle. Therefore, learn to never give up on your dreams and always hope. Hope make the present moment less difficult to bear. No matter how hard life can get, if you only hope that tomorrow will get better, than it will
Although I am a fairly well-rounded student outside of school, I focus on the passions I am adept at: art and music. Creativity and thinking outside the box are skills that I have possessed and have developed over the years. It gives me great joy when I use my artistic and musical talents for the benefit of others, such as playing the piano and violin at a dinner honoring senior citizens or drawing pictures for young children at a Bible camp. Their smiles in appreciation of my service are priceless. My drive for excellence in my passions show that I give one hundred percent in all that I
As a kid, I recall my parents and many relatives frequently asking, "What do you want to be when you grow up?", and without hesitation, I would think of the coolest occupations. My answers would usually comprise of being a cop, nurse, astronaut or the President of the Untied States. It was difficult to pick one, as there were numerous jobs that held my interest. For some individuals, dream occupations turn into a reality. Often times, the professions we loved growing up becomes a fun memory in the past. Throughout my childhood, my parents valued the significance and importance of regarding and helping other people. Before attending college, I was uncertain of my career plan, however; was one thing I was sure of was: the longing to help, to teach, and/or to positively affect others.
Project Nim In the movie, Project Nim, a newborn chimpanzee was taken from its mother. Both away from their natural habitat. The newborn chimpanzee, Nim, was raised by a family like a human baby. Under the expectations to pick up certain behaviors or sign languages.
I’ve learned to never give up, even though everything in me tells me to throw in the towel. I am
With his perfectly fitting uniform on, Robbie resembles poster for the Navy. He continues to watch Rachel, which isn’t difficult, she’s easy on the eyes, an ultra-alluring stunning runway model with show-stopping good looks.
Today I wake up and stretch. I look around and see what's going on. I spent the night up on the bed and is so very comfortable. I normally get to spend my night sleep next to my parents if you will. I tend to stay on my mom's side as she is more willing to let me have some space. Dad doesn’t like when im on his side.
Trapped men seeing their mates through the dusty fog, recognizing them, their hopes rose: their mates wouldn’t let them die. But many couldn’t be reached until the fires had been put out, until steel had been cut away, until the emergency workers could stabilize the slab. They screamed and cried for what seemed like hours but even after they stopped the survivors kept hearing them.
My favorite part was how welcoming and loving my grandmother’s home was as a little girl, and still is as a college student. I can vividly picture every crack, stain, picture, and piece of furniture that remains in her home. Lastly, my childhood passion was helping people
“Mauricio Mauricio wake up” my aunt shouted. “you have a new brother!” my aunt scream. I woke up and half of my face is covered by the shiny sun on my face and the other side I see my aunt. I was excited because my newborn brother was born and he was at the hospital with my mom and dad. I was at my aunt's house and I was walking all over the place and wanted to see my brother already. I heard the sound of the keys shaking and heard someone saying “let's go”! It was my aunt waiting for me in front the door to take me to the hospital. I shut the door from the car and could hear my footsteps of all the fast running.
Have you ever thought about your future job? How you plan to be something that someone else is not? I have always dreamed of being something in a field where you care for others. I love to care for others. For me, being able to help someone is my pride and joy.
My elderly next-door neighbor thinks that I try to do too much around my house by myself. He wonders why I don’t get a husband to help me in some of the chores involved in owning a house. Although I’m usually very quick to promote my Wonder Woman ideology and be the vanguard of the Independent woman, when he offered to shovel up the three-days-dead possum some dog had dragged into my yard, and put it in his own trash barrel, I found I didn’t much mind taking the damsel in distress role. Melvin’s wife died not too long ago, and I think he is now courting the cat lady, who lives further down the street in the house with the iron gate and about a dozen cats lounging on the front porch. About a month ago, one of her cats gave birth in my garage. Three adorable gray & white spotted kittens. When I said to her, “I think there’s something that belongs to you in my garage,” she replied, “I guess it’s time to get little Dixie fixed.” I would agree with that assessment. She did not, however, offer to get the cats out of my garage. Eventually, Little Dixie took matters into her own paws and took the kittens home. Good cat.
I really love to draw and imagining my own little world. Watching many animations has influenced me a lot. I learnt how people made those animals speak, how those lifeless dolls become alive, and how another dimensions of mythical creatures can be created. Since then, I know that I wanted to do this for my whole life. It has inspired me to do something that I love as a career. Imagine that you are supporting your financial needs by doing something that you love. It has been my dream since a little kid to put my imagination to life.
