My life's path reflects my passion in a very direct way. Ever since I was young I had always believed in doing what I enjoy and being myself. I think that doing so will lead me to happiness, especially in finding a career. To me, not doing what you love every day of your life is no way to live. Your career should directly reflect your passions, as it will even help your performance while on the job. My goal to become an attorney is a direct reflection of my own passion. Ever since I was a kid, I had enjoyed playing video games. I always like exploring the world within the game, and making progress within that world. It was through this interest that I was introduced to a game called "Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney." In this game, …show more content…
I am very interested in becoming an attorney and love constructing well thought out arguments. Also, I enjoy questioning the things that I read and applying logic to them. Another one of my strengths is the natural curiosity that I possess; there is never a time that I'm not thinking. Along with this, I am known to be very logical, and love using what I know for deductive reasoning and problem solving. Thanks to my natural curiosity and interest in logic, I have known science to be a particular area of interest for me as well. I have always found it interesting that my mind seems to think on opposite ends of the spectrum. I am great at English and equally so at science. I am very logical yet very creative, and I think that this is one of my strongest abilities. Not only am I able to easily obtain knowledge, but I am also able to creatively apply that knowledge and make use of it. My ultimate goal is to become an Attorney, as with this I will be able to feed both my logical side and my creative side. I would like to head to college for four years and major in a science. After that, I plan to take the LSAT and get into a good law school so that I can one day fulfill my dream. I know that it will be a long road, but with help and determination I know that I can make it, and I will have a blast getting
The following career I have chosen describes who I am, where I want to go, and what I want to accomplish in the near future.
Application of career theories to my own life allows for analyzing past and future career decisions. Holland’s Theory of Careers states that one’s vocation is an expression of self, personality, and way of life. There is an indisputable and fundamental difference in the quality of life one experiences if they choose a career one truly enjoys, versus choosing a career one detests. A true testament to the validity of Holland’s theory, my job/career choices reflect my interests, as well as the evolution of my personality (internal self). My first job as a fine jewelry specialist and second job as a make-up artist echo my love of the fashion world. As I matured and became less fascinated by presumed “glamour” careers, I became captivated by physical fitness, nutrition, and medicine; I received my national fitness trainer certificate so that I may become a personal trainer. Nevertheless, my career decisions do not fit uniformly into merely one career theory.
One day Sam woke up and she got ready to go to her job, she was an attorney. She was going to the courthouse when someone covered in blood chased her car down the street and she speed away and made it to work on time. She walks into the courthouse and a teacher yells for her to come he and help. She hurries down the hallway and walks into a room where a nurse and physician are working on a judge who had a large bite taken out of his arm. The attorney asks what happened to the judge and the teacher points over to a police officer out in the hallway who was handcuffing a professor who had blood all over his mouth and tried biting the police officer. Just then another bloody human ran into the room running at the group. So the nurse and physician
The earliest glimpse of my future was at an elementary career day years ago. When I filled out what I was going to dress up as I wrote the word, “farmacist.” My mom was a pharmacist and I looked up to her and wanted to be just like her! So when career day rolled around I dressed in a white coat carrying a big bottle full of M&M’s to dispense to my classmates. Now so many years later here I am actually about to take on graduate school and follow in my mother’s footsteps to become a pharmacist. Of course my career path has been less than a straight line from “farmasist” to pharmacist. My passion and talent for math and science in high school allowed me to seriously consider a career in engineering. However, the more I considered engineering, the more there seemed to be something missing. As much as I loved solving problems I did not see
The real question is: why don’t people chase passions. Most people have a passion or dream, and then decide through one way or another not to follow that passion or dream. People don’t chase their dream career for a variety of reasons but people should chase it for a range of positive outcomes. A person should always be on the lookout for their dream...
The career I wish to pursue is that of a stockbroker. I am extremely interested in the trading of stocks and financial holdings so the career of a stockbroker just seems to fit in with my overall plan. Numbers have also always been a fascination of mine and the trends of the economy and long term financial outlooks have often interested me greatly. Stock broking is a risky business that one needs to be prepared for highs and lows if choosing to pursue. You must understand what a stockbroker truly does to even begin to follow this as a life long career.
The second I stepped onto the campus, I knew that it was where I wanted to be and I felt like I was at home. The atmosphere felt friendly and family-like, the campus and the surrounding area was beautiful, academics are amazing, and the athletics and their facilities are great. The most appealing of these factors to me was the outstanding criminal justice program. This really caught my eye because my long-term goal after college is to work in the criminal justice field as a criminal investigator or a crime scene investigator. Not only does UNF have a great criminal justice program with outstanding professors that were, at one point, in the criminal justice field, but they also have great ties with the FBI and Jacksonville Sheriffs Office,
Finding your calling in life can be one of the most challenging decisions for a person to make. Not only will it structure the format of your everyday journey, but the question is, is it your true passion? I have a strong belief that each individual was given the gift of life to discover their purpose and to build a strong foundation steamed from the fruit of their labor. I often hear conversations about how the quality of people has drastically changed over time, and I firmly agree. Yet, ever so often I come across someone that I immediately identify myself with and find it interesting how naturally deep our relationship intensifies. I have always been very intrigued by the process of film making. Sometimes I was more interested in viewing
The Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney series is a series of interactive novel video games made by Capcom for Nintendo devices first released in 2001. It was based around the main playable defense attorney known by the players as Phoenix Wright. The games in this series are based on the Japanese law system, where infinite odds are stacked upon the defense. The series is an innovative and popular one, being among the stars of Capcom with the popular Street Fighter series as well as the (now deceased) Mega Man series. Capcom was very successful with this series and provided an equal balance in familiarity and new creative features with each new addition to the series… as well as some good humor. Ace Attorney does have a slightly interesting history and quite an odd future.
Life is a beautiful and unique gift to us. Although it is said that our destiny has already been written, but it doesn’t mean that we don’t need to work for our dreams to come true. Indian spiritual leader, Swami Vivekananda, had spoken about the way to success: Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life - think of it, dream of it and live on that idea. This is what I think exactly of how a person’s passion should be. Without an aim, there is no meaning to life. It gives directionality to the spirit and purpose for living. Some dream of serving their country by joining defense services while some for the better health care of the society; wants to be doctors of tomorrow. For me, my long term career objective is to become a faculty at the university level, fully engaged in research for the betterment of upcoming generations. That is why I am applying for Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA), so that I can pursue my higher studies at an institution which I am sure, will help me in making my desired career.
All of us have at least one unique passion that we came here to express. Some of us are lucky enough to have more, but we all have a least one, and it is both our birthright and our obligation to bring it for and use it to succeed. Just how you go about doing this but you can live your passion, though? You can learn how, just as those who have struggled with the same questions before you have done. You, too, can live your passion.
Choosing which career path to follow is one of the most important decision people take in their lifetime. Considering that this decision will affect the entire future life, it is very important to be sure that it is the right one. It is one of the most important steps in order to successfully find a job that would satisfy personality needs and guarantee a steady income. If he or she is passionate about their job, hard work is simplified and high salary helps to concentrate on results. The key about being successful at work is to be in love with it.
Coming to the point of my current career choice has been a long road. My idea of what a career is or should be has changed with circumstances and age. According to Weintraub (2005), “the average worker spends only four years in a job and will have 12 jobs in as many as five career fields during his or her working life.” (para. 1) My first career was marriage and motherhood followed by a surprising healthcare career. What the future holds waits to be seen. With a bachelor of science degree in information technology the options are wide open.
Passion for Family, Community, Business, Technology and Intellectual growth are what motivate me on the daily basis. These are vital parts that have contributed to framing me into the person I’ve become. They have also shaped my short-term and long-term goals in life. It’s critical for one to have a vision for their life and what they anticipate to accomplish. Without a vision or desire there is no hope for one to continue and to purse anything. My experiences with in my passions have helped me aligned my vision for my life. They have given me the valuable knowledge that have set me up for success to get to this point in life.
Most of my life has been focused on my career. I never really thought about my life outside of high school until my junior year. It was not until this year that I realized all the things that were involved with my career interests. Although I am very committed to my career choices. I have chosen to major in elementary education and minor in photography.
