My Amazing Adventure One day I entered in a Jet-Around-The-World Sweepstakes so that I could go to the Bahamas to Atlantis with my dad for a couple days. When I heard the news I was so excited that I won the sweepstakes that I entered in. I told my friend, Gabe, the news and he was so excited for me. I went home and told my dad that I won the sweepstakes and he was so happy that I won. We started packing for the trip so that we were ready when the day came. The day came and I was so excited. We were about to get on the plane and fly to the Bahamas. I said to my dad, “Are you ready to go and have the time of your life?” “Yes I am ready,” said Dad. We finally got on the plane and started flying to the Bahamas. I was so tired that I slept on the plane. I was so …show more content…
They had pancakes today and they were good. After we ate we went to the arcade to play a few games. The arcade was huge and had games that I have never seen before. When we were done we had 254 tickets off of the games. We will same them for tomorrow before we leave. We went to the waterpark to have fun. This time we went straight for the playground with the big bucket of water in it. At the playground they had slides, water guns, the big bucket of water, and more. After the playground we went to go get something to eat. We had some sandwiches for lunch and they were good. We went back to the waterpark and we went down the toilet bowl. It was a long line but it was amazing. We went down it a couple more times before we went to the basketball court they had in water. There were a lot of people but I still made a lot of baskets. We went down the slides one more time before we went to go have dinner. We went back to the hotel room to get money and change. We had pasta for dinner and it was delicious. We went to the arcade and we won 304 tickets. “We have a lot of tickets now,” I
As I opened my eyes, I saw a giant cruise ship in front of my eyes.It took two whole days but we finally reached Florida where we went Rock Gliding. It’s where you have to get past a giant, rocky maze. The winner gets to cans of ice cream.Though my sister won,we all shared the ice cream.Next stop, the Bahamas!!!In the bahamas we went parasailing up 700 ft above water level,it was so much fun.The boat driver even let us touch the smooth, light blue water with our feet. Finally, we ended with a relaxing dolphin swim on the soft, delicate beach of Jamaica.
This past summer, my family and I went on a cruise to the Bahamas. We had just docked at the second port, Nassau, and were preparing to exit the gigantic ship named the Carnival Fantasy. Once we got to the city, I noticed it was bustling with people of all different backgrounds and cultures. The roads were narrow and some even hilly. I remember coming to the conclusion that a lot of people in the Bahamas must have road rage what from the blaring car horns I could hear around every corner. My family and I were walking along the sidewalk, glancing into shops as we passed them. The weather was unbearably hot, but growing up in South Carolina allowed my family and I to push onward with our adventure. The sun burn on my back started to pulsate in pain any time the sunlight hit it, so we decided to stick to the side of the buildings that provided shade.
As time went by, we were hungry, so we ate food and bought drinks during the day. While we ate lunch, my friend told me that he still was hungry, so he got more food! After lunch, we changed into our bathing suits and decided to go to the water park. We went down long water slides. “I’m not going in the lazy river,” shouted Gavin.
So when she got back from Florida we went to Walmart and bought a lot of snacks. We were walking down the aisles at Walmart and throwing all different kinds of junk food in the cart. We got munchies, cheese, Kitchen Cooked potato chips, jolly ranchers, starbursts, and two cases of propel. Then the night before we were leaving for vacation, I had a hair appointment. My hair appointment ran a little later than expected and I could tell Jamie was getting anxious because I had several text messages and phone calls.
The next day we had pancakes that the hotel gives for breakfast. That was the best food I have had since the vacation has started. My family and I went to the beach right after that. The water was still cold, so I had to play with the sand. Instead of building a sand castle, I built a set of tunnel and stuff underground. Then, my little brother came and jumped on the tunnels and all of it fell down.
Finally, we stopped by the western museum. It was a very interesting stop. It had so many old western paintings, weapons and statues. I got to buy a cowgirl hat that was really cool. We did a scavenger hunt there in the museum and then we left, I had a great time.
Today was my sister's birthday! We went to Animal Kingdom, Which had a really fun ride called The Legend Of The Forbidden Mountain, where you go up the coaster normally and drop backwards. I screamed really loud! After a while, we got lunch. We went to a restaurant in the park, where I had the best grilled cheese of my life. We spent a few more hours at the park and left at dinner time. That night, we had dinner at a really nice restaurant. I got steak and mashed potatoes and we left after eating for about an hour and went back to our resort. When we got back we went to our cousin's room and watched
Once we finished our snack we went outside. Then we washed our bikes with the hose. After that we sat down and looked at the sidewalk. It’s across the creek and people go on it all the time. I like to watch people go by. There are bikers, dogs , joggers, and more. We sat and waited and watch the people go by . Finally we grabbed on our bikes and went to the path. It was fun and we went down a hill too. We did this for about an hour. But then got bored!
The first nothing happened all we did was sleep because South Dakota is a hour behind Iowa so we slept in all day. The second day we finally went to Mount Rushmore and he went in the afternoon my mom took like a million picture of everything. We took about 8 hours there. When we came back the night we only had three hours there cause we took the bus there. We spent three hours inside because it was mosquito paradise. So we only watched the light up and took a ton of pictures. The last day we spent all day packing up. It still was another 8 - 10 hour drive back to Iowa I fell asleep for 4 hours. When we finally made it to Iowa it was 10:30 PM. I fell asleep right after we made it back to Iowa. So it wasn’t that bad. The trip to South Dakota it was the best thing of my summer.
It was the last Saturday in December of 1997. My brother, sister, and I were chasing after each other throughout the house. As we were running, our parents told us to come and sit down in the living room. They had to tell us something. So, we all went down stairs wondering what was going on. Once we all got down stairs, the three of us got onto the couch. Then, my mom said, “ Well…”
That excited me and time passed but before I knew it we were on the plane on our way to my brother’s house, the plane ride always felt so long but the excitement was too much for my little body but I loved it I couldn’t wait to get off the plane and into our rental
Watching cool waters form the beautiful waves hitting the shoreline of the Jamaican beaches, I experienced a vacation that formed one of my life’s most meaningful encounters. In July of 2016, my family went on a cruise to Ocho Rios, Jamaica. At the port, we bought passes to tour the entire Ocho Rios island on a van owned by Jamaican natives. Our driver introduced us to the richer parts of the area. We began the tour in the richer parts of Ocho Rios.
The first thing I would rather be doing right now is walking on the sand at the beach. I would want to hear the waves clashing against the rocks and the seagulls chirping above me. I would want to feel the sand in between my toes and the ocean breeze. I would want to see the dolphins poking their fins out of the water and the seashells tucked down in the sand. The second thing I would rather be doing is on a cruise going to the Bahamas.
so much fun there. We then headed off to the last place for the day. We
I can still remember how excited I was before take off, I mean it felt like forever while we sat in the plane waiting to take off. Just all the anticipation that was inside of me had just made the wait even longer for me. Finally, I heard the pilot say 'prepare for take off'. When I heard those words I was so overjoyed I could hardly contain myself. That rush I got once the plane took off was an experience like no other. The plane ride was about hours long and I enjoyed every minute of it. Little did I know, that was less than half of the fun I was going to have at Orlando.
