The first time I went to Disney World was an amazing experience. I had never seen anything so large and full of fun stuff to do. The park was booming with excitement and energy which added to the great atmosphere. That summer my family was much younger- I was eight years old and my sisters were only 4. When we found out that we were going to be travelling to Florida early that spring, we were so ecstatic that we started thinking about what we were going to take and do, even though it was months away. In the picture is my mother and two younger sisters watching a parade on a sidewalk, all smiling and having a good time. The trees towering over the park shadowed the entire street, and old bricks lined the walls of the nearby shops. I remember the sky as a bright …show more content…
We haven't looked at the park's schedules yet, but we end up being on the route of the parade out of pure spontaneity. We quickly scavenge for great spots where we can see everything, and await the appearance of the characters. The parade is spectacular and filled with vibrant colors and the banging of drums. The misting fans and the musky smell that envelop the Animal Kingdom park add even more detail to their adventurous jungle theme. I realize that I’m almost filling up my entire disposable camera film in just this half hour, because everything is just so interesting to look at. The patterns and synchronization of the dancers is nothing like I have seen before now in real life. There are people in animal costumes walking and dancing on huge stilts, and even some park guests who were invited to join in on the fun. Right afterwards come the characters that I had been watching in cartoons since I was very small. Out came Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale, and of course Mickey and Minnie Mouse. I snapped the last of my roll, but those pictures remind me of how happy I was in that
It was the summer of 2012 and my family was taking another trip to Six Flags Great America. Earlier that summer we went just for me to be disappointed. At the time I wasn’t 54 inches yet and couldn’t ride any of the rides that I wanted to because they were the most popular at the amusement park. But, I hit a growth spurt between trips and we planned to ride all of the big rollercoasters. The one that I was most terrified of at the time was Raging Bull, one of the tallest, fastest, and longest steel coasters in the US. As we started to wait in line for the ride I was shaking with both anticipation and fear and began to rethink my idea to ride the rollercoaster. I decided to stay in line and see what many people thought was a great coaster.
What comes to mind when you hear the word adventure!!? Well there is a place in Florida that is guaranteed to bring out your inner kid every time you visit. This place is known as universal Orlando Florida. This is a place where you can go on vacation and have fun like never before as you did when you were a kid. On my visit to Orlando I stated at a four-star resort located inside the theme park known as Cabana Bay Beach Resort, also went to universal studios and islands of adventure were I felt like I was a kid again.
The sound of music, filling the air with happiness, resonates throughout the area. The scent of delicious buttery popcorn and glazed turkey legs that go on for miles and miles. The feeling of excitement coming into the place is felt in the atmosphere. It is the image of a once in a lifetime moment. When people come in, their imaginations become reality. The name describes itself perfectly. Walt Disney World is the place of dreams and imagination. People come from all around the world to see the rides, characters, food and the entertainment of Walt Disney World. I remember when I went to Disney World this past March. It was the third time I have gone to Disney World. To see the amazement and the expectation of the
Disney world is a place designed for uncountable amounts of excitement and making memories. I had an unforgettable experience, because of the beauty of magic Kingdom, the Heart arousing of Bush gardens, and the almost unreal sites of universal. I will never forget the time I had on senior trip, and I hope visit again
So have you ever been to Disney World? Most of you probably have been there. I didn’t go to Disney World until November of last year with my family. I wasn’t sure what it would be like, but it was incredible. It was a lot of fun, and it was a great experience because I was with my family.
When I was a kid my life consisted of a lot of wishful thinking. Typically I would ignore reality and let my imagination take over. For me cardboard boxes transformed into a heavy, fully armed, high flying Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress. I can remember every spring when the days would start to get warm, my family would have a truck full of mulch dumped into the driveway to be laid. To me, this pile was an archaeologist's digging site filled with fossils and ancient relics. The brown pile was a tall mountain who’s peak pierced the wispy clouds of the Great Plains. The reason I am telling you this is because sometimes when you are little reality hurts and this is my story of how I came to terms with this fact.
Honestly I could bore you with a story of my trip to Disney World, but I thought I would speak of someone who is dear to my heart. As a child, I lived states away from my brothers. Well technically speaking, 13 hours and almost 900 miles apart. I maybe saw them twice a year and we never were close as children. As teenagers we decided we should have a relationship, so whether it was Myspace, Facebook, texting, or anything else we’d try to talk at least once a week.
As we arrive to the airport I am so excited, even though it is 4:00 in the morning I have a significant amount of energy. Then it hit me, “I’m going to Disney World.” As the plane lands, I see all the palm trees and the bright sun and I get excited. We got off the plane and picked up our bags and went to the Disney World bus stop. As I got on the bus a video starts to play about everything to do there, and that got me even more excited.
Sometimes life is just miserable. It might be because things don’t work out, or plans change, or even just that the weather for the day turns out the exact opposite of what the weather channel claimed. At times like this, it’s hard to stay positive or even consider having a good time. But as a child, I experienced firsthand that even during the gloomiest of times; you can still end up having an amazing experience in the end. It all started when I was four and my family was taking a trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
My entire family (even those from out of state) take a trip to Disney World every year. I can honestly say after all those vacations that this one was definitely the most interesting and eventful one we've taken. It was 6:00 am on Monday morning and my dad and I started packing the car so we could head to the airport.
When we got settled into our hotel all I wanted to do was go to the theme park and begin to have fun, but my dad had said it was too late to go. Even though we had agreed not to go to the theme parks we still decided to go to Downtown Disney for dinner.
All of these characters which I have grown up with were there. They were always in my mind. What kept my imagination and creativity running. Sitting there with my mother, father, brother, grandmother, and grandfather I can’t help but be filled with awe and wonder as my favorite personified animations come to life.
It all began when Erica was sitting criss-cross-applesauce around the enormous, beautiful Christmas tree with her family on Christmas morning. She had opened up all of her presents, except for one box, every year her family gave each of their kids a box to open last. They all opened them up, inside was Minnie mouse ears waiting to be plopped on their little heads. A little puzzled, she found out that her family was going to Florida! She also found out that they were going with their cousins!
“Come on, do it!” my aunt exclaimed at me the day before our trip to the amusement park. My family would always take a trip to an amusement park every other summer. I was always scared about going on the roller coasters. So one day before the trip, my aunt wanted to push me and my sister to do something new through a bet. The bet was that I had to chose one ride or the other ride but I had to choose one. My sister chose the one I didn’t choose so we both had to go on separate rides. Then the one day came and my sister, me, my cousin and my aunt drove to the amusement park building up the anticipation each minute in the car.
The second I stepped foot onto the amusement park’s property, I could feel the magic swirling all around me. As I walked through the crowds of people young and old wearing Disney apparel and Mickey Mouse ears, everything seemed so enchanting: the cheerful music, the twinkly lights on all of the buildings, and the stores that could have been from my favorite Disney movies. Walking along the streets, I took pictures of everything around me because I did not want to forget a single detail; I took pictures of the vibrant yellow, red, and pink flowers that lined the streets, the buildings with intricate details and designs, and the massive roller coasters that glided so swiftly on their tracks. The air was filled with heavenly scents of sweet churros, and I had to get one; it was delectable. Everything at Disneyland seemed perfect and like it was out of a movie. Even as I was about to leave, I got drawn back in; spectacular, bright, colorful fireworks started bursting right over my head, and I could not bring myself to go. My first visit to Disneyland was truly enchanting and magical. At the time I thought no other vacation could
