I woke up in my hotel room at Disney World, The Art of Animation Resort, eyes weak fighting myself to keep them open. I looked at the screen of my phone, the bright screen stung my eyes as if they had just been set ablaze. My parents had gone to the lobby to get breakfast and my sister was silently watching t.v. We had only three days left of the trip and I felt ecstatic because it was our first day going into the park. The thought of going to Disney World made me feel as though life was perfect and nothing would change that. I leaped out of bed into the shower, I wanted to get ready so we could leave sooner than expected. “Start getting ready!” I called to my young, stubborn sister. She replied with a rude remark and continued watching her …show more content…
The sweet aroma of candies, cakes, pretzels, and cotton candy more found my nose. I felt dizzy from watching the roller coasters go around and around. The screaming of people as they flew down from what must have felt like the top of the world made me excited and a part of me feel nervous. Just then, I could feel my dad tugging on me as we walked to the metal detectors. Walking up to the Magic Kingdom felt like winning the lottery and never having to worry about anything again. It was the best day of my life so far and we still had a few hours left of the day. We had gone on so many rides, made the best memories, and met wonderful people. Just as we were walking to dinner I had saw an object on the ground. I had no clue what it was due to its unfamiliar rectangle shape and multi-colored patterns. I slowly made my way over to the unknown object and realized what it was, a souvenir penny book. I picked it up, examining it, looking to see if there was damage. It looked almost as though it was just lost. No scratches, cuts, or tears. I opened up the book and it was completely bare. Why would someone buy one of these and not put anything in it, I thought to myself. Just then, a little boy, who must have been seven or eight, came dashing
It was the summer of 2012 and my family was taking another trip to Six Flags Great America. Earlier that summer we went just for me to be disappointed. At the time I wasn’t 54 inches yet and couldn’t ride any of the rides that I wanted to because they were the most popular at the amusement park. But, I hit a growth spurt between trips and we planned to ride all of the big rollercoasters. The one that I was most terrified of at the time was Raging Bull, one of the tallest, fastest, and longest steel coasters in the US. As we started to wait in line for the ride I was shaking with both anticipation and fear and began to rethink my idea to ride the rollercoaster. I decided to stay in line and see what many people thought was a great coaster.
What comes to mind when you hear the word adventure!!? Well there is a place in Florida that is guaranteed to bring out your inner kid every time you visit. This place is known as universal Orlando Florida. This is a place where you can go on vacation and have fun like never before as you did when you were a kid. On my visit to Orlando I stated at a four-star resort located inside the theme park known as Cabana Bay Beach Resort, also went to universal studios and islands of adventure were I felt like I was a kid again.
This past summer, my family and I went on a cruise to the Bahamas. We had just docked at the second port, Nassau, and were preparing to exit the gigantic ship named the Carnival Fantasy. Once we got to the city, I noticed it was bustling with people of all different backgrounds and cultures. The roads were narrow and some even hilly. I remember coming to the conclusion that a lot of people in the Bahamas must have road rage what from the blaring car horns I could hear around every corner. My family and I were walking along the sidewalk, glancing into shops as we passed them. The weather was unbearably hot, but growing up in South Carolina allowed my family and I to push onward with our adventure. The sun burn on my back started to pulsate in pain any time the sunlight hit it, so we decided to stick to the side of the buildings that provided shade.
When I met Mickey Mouse for the first time at fifteen years old, I could not stop smiling because he is my favorite cartoon character of all time. I hugged him tight and took a picture with him. The food is amazing and delicious, but also reminded me of the old days. The ideas put into making the food is important. There are many types of food and each one brings out the kid in me. The taste of glazed turkey legs with a sweet glaze made my taste buds go crazy. The different restaurants have some of the best food and favorite snacks. The ice cream is soft and tastes like real homemade ice cream that is creamy and sweet. The music is loud and fun and made me feel happy. Hearing the sound of cars zooming on Test Track and the screams of people on Space Mountain in the dark enjoying the ride. I went to the Tower of Terror for the first time this past March and I was scared out of my mind. It was a great ride, but it would go from the very bottom floor to the top floor and it was fast. The sound effects of electricity flowing in the air and darkness everywhere made me feel like I was in a real scary movie. The feeling of vibration and falling in the air on the Tower of Terror made me feel suspenseful. The feeling and taste are amazing. Sight
So I was looking forward to this ride just to see my grandma like that. The ride itself was more of a sit and see ride. We sat on a boat, and it would move slowly so we could see all of the little figurines from the different cultures move and dance. As the ride went on, the song “It’s a Small World After All” would play, and I would look at my grandma and she would have this happy face and she would be clapping along to the music. I myself enjoyed the ride because it was meant to be a happy ride, and let me tell you, it was certainly was happy. Those rides were really fun to go on, but they didn’t give that intense feeling that I was looking for. Enter Splash mountain, my personal favorite ride from the Magic Kingdom. This reason this was my favorite ride is that when we went on it, we all got soaked. It was kind of funny listening to my family react to getting wet, especially my grandma because she hates getting wet. Plus when we went down the long slide at the end, my heart felt like it went out of my chest. It was an exhilarating ride, and I had a good time on
When we arrived at the Best Western, everyone grabbed his/her suitcases, quickly tucking them into the rooms as the candy shop across the street drew us in like moths to a flame. Afterwards, we went back to our rooms, put on our bathing suits, and went for a late-night swim under the stars. It was so cold, but we did not mind it because we were having so much fun. Later we went back to our rooms and went to sleep. Our next day would surely be packed with action and adventure.
As Robbins said, the Disneyland was just like a special place for people’s imagination such as being a prince or princess, and more and more could enjoy the emerging middle-class part of the United States. The trip also made their “marvelous Disneyland dream actually come true.” The trip was recorded by Robbins with a movie camera and evoked the wonder and possibility of a middle-class
Do you really the know the real you? Identity is something you can never know how it’s formed. You could have been pretending to be someone else your whole life ‘till you find something new exploring your own self can change you up.The people in the article I’m using some don't know their own identity and end up being someone who they are not and are changed by others. Which you or the people in the articles can or can not regret in the future. It also depends on you, sometimes when you don't know yourself you pretend to be someone else to see if you fit in with them, but all of you are just different. My essay will talk about all the topics talking about like, When you don’t know your own identity you can clearly communicate it to others, If you don’t know your own identity people can manipulate or change you, and lastly the topic I'm talking about is if you know your own identity you can make good life decisions to achieve your life goals. This will help you understand a lot about
I remember it like it was yesterday, my family took our first trip to Six Flags Great America. I was around seven years old and terrified by everything around me. The roller coasters were like brobdingnagian snakes that twisted throughout the entire park. My first rollercoaster changed my life forever. I was barely the required 48”, and my dad sat me down on American Eagle. Before the ride I was sobbing, yelling, and scared out of my mind. The lift hill had to be the longest moments of my life. We climbed up the 127’ slower than I thought possible, and then it happened. The car crested over the first hill, and the expression on my face couldn't have changed more. I went from a terrified and mortified child, to a boy who was on top of the world. The feeling of falling down the hill, then climbing up another and entering a helix and the some more
With my family’s annual trips to Walt Disney World, every time it appears the same, nothing has changed, except for yourself. Disney make us feel as if time is infinite, that we did not and will not grow up. It is the stories that you listened to as a child, coming to life. It is a place where your imagination is limitless. It is a place that is eternally optimistic for the future as it portrays a world with endless possibilities. As you enter the park you are completely cut off from the outside world; all the chaos, and stress is gone with each explosion of a firework over Cinderella’s Castle. Disney does a thousand things 1% better making magic a reality, and happiness a necessity. Everything is meticulously planned and executed. Whenever we leave Walt Disney World, my brothers and I claim to have PDD or Post Disney Depression as time catches up and the real world sets in. The Walt Disney Company has influenced my perception of the world by putting a permanent smile on my face from the beginning of the trip to the end, giving me memories that I will carry with me for the rest of my life, and inspiring me to make my dreams come
The Main Street station, is the curtains to a large production as if the Magic Kingdom was a theater. As I wander beneath the archway, I notice that above the arch is a plaque that reads: “Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy”. As I continue to stroll through the passage on the way to Main Street, there are posters of “upcoming attractions” that line the walls on both sides. I then step into Main Street U.S.A. and begin to hear the Victorian style orchestra playing over the speakers. I notice some Disney pals in Town Square greeting guests as if they were old friends. Then I begin to travel further down the street, and the smell of the caramel apples, chocolate chip cookies, and other sweets walk out of the open doors of the bakery and into the street. At the end of this turn of the century town, sits the one hundred eightyninefoottall, Cinderella Castle. This moment is a pivotal moment in any Disney vacation, because the castle is well known to millions. I get
From my infant years extending into my teenage years my grandparents have taken me on trips to Walt Disney World just about every other year. In being a child my first couple of vacations were focused on all the vibrant scenery and meeting all the characters from my favorite animated movies that I grew up with. I always had aspirations to be a member of the Disney family as I continued visiting Orlando, yet as I matured I began to comprehend how I specifically wanted to fit into the company I grew to adore. It wasn’t until I was an adolescent that I fully began to appreciate all of the creativity and precision the imagineers invested into all of the attractions, their creations that people alike I have cherished.
The second I stepped foot onto the amusement park’s property, I could feel the magic swirling all around me. As I walked through the crowds of people young and old wearing Disney apparel and Mickey Mouse ears, everything seemed so enchanting: the cheerful music, the twinkly lights on all of the buildings, and the stores that could have been from my favorite Disney movies. Walking along the streets, I took pictures of everything around me because I did not want to forget a single detail; I took pictures of the vibrant yellow, red, and pink flowers that lined the streets, the buildings with intricate details and designs, and the massive roller coasters that glided so swiftly on their tracks. The air was filled with heavenly scents of sweet churros, and I had to get one; it was delectable. Everything at Disneyland seemed perfect and like it was out of a movie. Even as I was about to leave, I got drawn back in; spectacular, bright, colorful fireworks started bursting right over my head, and I could not bring myself to go. My first visit to Disneyland was truly enchanting and magical. At the time I thought no other vacation could
When I heard my parents talking about going to Disney World I was so excited. It was a long trip down to Florida and I could not sit still, because I was so excited. We finally arrived that evening and decided to stay in a hotel near the theme park. When it was time for bed I could not go to sleep for a long time, because I was so excited about going at Disney world. When I saw the big mirror ball from the entrance, I was amazed. Disney world had a wide variety of rides. There were tons of rides that shocked me. Some of these rides made you feel like you were riding in a jet because of how fast they were. There was even a roller coaster ride in the huge mirror ball. It was a slow ride, but I still liked it because there was air conditioning inside the ball. We spent all day at the park until we had ridden everything. That night Disney World had a firework show. The fireworks seemed like they lasted forever with the amazing colors bursting in the air one right after another. When the firework show finally ended my parents told me that it was time to leave. I was...
The whole drive there I was just wondering what I was going to do and see over there. I mean I thought I thought I was excited about my plane ride there, but that wasn?t even half of what I was feeling at that time. Once I saw the roller coasters as we drove to Universal?s Island of Adventure my face just lit up like the sun.
