My trip to California
California is one of the most world greatest tourist spots. It is known for its Walk of fame and famous actors, directors and so on stars embedded into the sidewalk, also its winery tours and beaches and a number of other things. It was a piece of the world I generally wanted to go. California has regularly been on my bucket list and a couple of different friends of mines, so we chose to arrange a getaway. December 22nd till December 29th I booked my flight. I bought my ticket on Priceline, which had costs that were rational. I was incredibly wound up, thinking about all the amazing things I could do once I arrived and I couldn't hold up to get to California. I reserved my flight for 7 days in West, Hollywood California.

I was much more wound up now than some time recently. Our discussion gave me a ton of courage and beliefs, I was ready to fly. An hour has passed and my flight was ready for embarking. I was no longer frightened. It was time to load up I gathered my belongings and strolled down the plane portal. As I entered the plane the flight chaperon welcomed me with such a genuine smile, which made me feel great and safe. I discovered my seat I was in the center and since it was my first time flying I wanted to be situated alongside the window, so I can snap photos of the sky in the states and urban areas as we went by them. The gentleman was sufficiently pleasant to incline forward so hopefully I can catch snapshots. My flying was going great, not at all like I projected. I enjoyed taking photos and meeting new people on the flight, and it was not awful as it would turn …show more content…
It was the most enjoyable thing. We stopped at a beach while we were there. We ordered for food and sat on the beach. There were many other people out on the beach snapping photographs who seemed as though they could be travelers too.
I have not gotten much rest throughout my vacation in Cali. Because of all the traveling around and exploration I and my friends had done, and however I was totally depleted, but the experience was well worth it. Despite all the trouble. California has frankly been a blessing from heaven, and an amazing background. Cali had changed my life, my viewpoint, how I see the world starting today and the people in it. It truly has opened my eyes to possible outcomes, and driven me to take after my real dream, venture to the far corners of the
I never predicted this beautiful trip ending up as a nightmare in my existence. I drove for approximately 40 minutes and my partner shared the driving for an additional 40 minutes. We were driving my friend mom’s brand new Toyota Camry XLE; one of the most comfortable cars I had ever been in. We enjoyed the elongated ride with new hit music, and air conditioning set to an exact temperature that met our necessities. On the way to the beach some doubts about going there started to circle around our minds, but the fact that we were about half way there made them a...
I wonder if I should I start calling Las Vegas, Nevada home now. I’ve traveled back and forth from California to Las Vegas since I was a child. I can remember at the age of thirteen my family and I would take family weekend trips very often. By the age of seventeen I was forced to move to Vegas for 6 months right before my senior year of high school started. Since it was my last year of high school my parents decided to let me go back to California for the last three months and graduate with my friends. Since I wasn’t eighteen yet, I forced to go back to Las Vegas right the day after graduation.
Before you begin reading the main narrative of my essay, I want to let you in on some details about my life and myself. I was born in Manhattan, New York and when I was about twenty two days old, I boarded a plane with my parents on a journey across the United States to the city of San Francisco, then to the town of Grass Valley. This is where my grandmother and grandfather resided. They had been telling my parents that the city of Manhattan was no place to raise a child and that we should move to California and live with them. Before making this life changing decision of leaving most of their friends and loved ones in New York to come to California, my parents sent me off to live in India with my uncle. Keep in mind, I was about the age of two when this all happened. The opportunity of leaving me with my uncle gave my parents about a year to think things over and pull themselves together, in efforts to properly raise a child in a country that was so
As my family piled into our car for our four-hour drive, I sincerely hoped my brothers wouldn’t ruin the best chance that we’ve had in a long time. They were already arguing about who got what video game, and were not making my mom and dad feel any better about going. We were going to Illinois, to Chicago, to be even more specific. Chicago was the city I’d been dreaming about visiting for a long time. (Well, that and New York.) I could not believe that my parents were getting out of their comfort zone and taking us to a big city.
I spent most of my life surrounded by fragrant pine trees, rocky mountains, and sometimes extremely cold winters. At least one year ago, my family and I moved to a place that is the exact opposite of Colorado which was Phoenix, Arizona. Months before moving, we got rid of all clothing that resembled winter apparel because we all knew it was not going to be needed again. When moving to a new location, it the time to embrace new change, different cultures and certainly different weather climates.
In the summer of 2015, the summer before my freshman year, my grandmother and I took a trip to the other side of the country. I had never been anywhere west of Tennessee before, so going to California was going to be an exciting experience. My vacation there was like going to a whole other country. The morning of our flight I double checked my bags and made sure I had everything I would need for my trip. Flying into Fresno everything I saw was brown, except for the golf courses. The reason for everything being so brown was because during this time California was in a 5-year drought. Also being in the central valley it’s sandy and desert like. After landing and getting our luggage we stood outside waiting for my uncle to pick us up from the airport. When you think of California you think of perfect weather but stepping outside we were met with 115 degrees of the blazing hot sun. Not exactly what I consider “perfect” weather.
Asked why I paint, the answer eludes me. As a writer of more than 70 published fiction and nonfiction books, I cannot answer the question as to why I write. Why would painting be any easier?
Moving from Wisconsin to California wasn’t an easy decision. Despite the first few difficulties I experienced, I learned to not be afraid of change but to take it and mold it into an opportunity for me to grow. The act of selflessness, as I’ve seen throughout my life, has prepared me to contribute to UW-Madison.
in ,head to your left your plane will be leaving soon .I nodded and stood in line to board my plane I noticed how there was no security checks...I heard louder
Because of some of the circumstances that make me who I am, it is hard to say I have any one definitive home. Instead, I have had two true homes, ever since I was a young child. What makes this even more of a conundrum is that my homes have always had little in common, even though they are only a few hundred miles apart. Between the big city of Houston, Texas, and the small town of Burns Flat, Oklahoma, I have grown up in two very different towns that relate to one another only in the sense that they have both raised me.
As soon as the plane lands, knowing that the walking way is too congested and has only space for one person, still people would rush as there is fire in the plane henceforth, makes you as well as others irate. You have stepped at your destination but go again through security check taking off your shoes and valuables. Accordingly, you have to hold up your horses and hanker for your cumbersome luggage. After receiving the bulky luggage, you have to take them on your carts and cautiously move them out of airport without getting them down.
I flew with American Airlines. As I boarded the 737 Boeing aircraft, I took a quick peek inside the cockpit. I was drawn in by the hundreds of microscopic buttons and switches. I glanced at the pilots, both males in their mid-fifties and their hair was starting to gray. A deep feeling of fascination and curiosity arose in me. They were occupied and were getting ready to start the plane, and were pressing all sorts of buttons and were speaking in aviation terms that were incomprehensible. I envied them. They were able to power such a massive and beautiful piece of machinery, and I was jealous. I suddenly had the urge to go inside. As I walked inside the cock pit, the pilots turned around to see me, a tiny girl with a ridiculous big toothy grin on her face. I said with glee how, “One day I want to be a pilot just like you guys.” The pilots were welcoming, and allowed me to sit in the pilot’s seat. As they were explaining to me what the buttons would do, I was hardly listening because I couldn’t believe I was actually sitting in the cock pit. I kept my hands in my lap, as I was afraid to press any buttons that might make the plane self-destruct. After learning a few things about the cockpit, I eventually
Joe, a senior that had decided to go on the trip with us, called from in front of me and said that he had found both of our seats. I followed the sound of his voice through all of the people and luggage, until I was in the back of the plane.
Taking that flight was nothing like the flights I’ve taken before. I had just recently celebrated my fourteenth birthday a week before being told that we were taking a trip. My dad wanted to surprise me for keeping up good grades in school. With my father working in the military and knowing a lot about other countries, I couldn’t have asked for a better gift. Went
Many people often mention the fact that everyone in their life time will have an unforgettable summer. Well, this seemed plausible after the summer I spent in Seoul, Korea. This trip is thus far the best summer in my lifetime that I have ever had the opportunity to be a part of. I remember from the first meeting spot for my own delegation in Portland, Oregon; how I came to meet new people from all around the United States. The trip was off to a success ever since we left for Korea from the Portland Airport and my adventure was underway. I love flying, but I gained new meaning when the initial flight took about 13 hours. However, this was great because it gave many people from my delegation to mingle together and become better acquainted with one another. I know for me it helped tremendously because I am a demure person at times, so as the flight progressed I grew more comfortable with everyone.
