When I time traveled to the future, it was weird because I went with my sister and with my best friend Layla, but first I will tell you the beginning of the story. When Layla and I were sitting at our desks until our teacher Mrs. Saver showed us a new book called time travel. We both wanted to read the book so we asked Mrs. Sarver if Layla and I could read the book together and Mrs. Sarver told us yes, but we can’t joke around or mess around with each other or she will separate us. When Layla and I went to my house, Layla asked me “wouldn’t you want to travel to the future” and then I got an Idea. I told Layla that she had to go home, but Layla asked me why, so I told her that I had to do my homework, when she left I went to my parent’s …show more content…
garage to get some stuff from my dad’s workshop. After I got the things I needed I put it in my backpack, I ran to the old house that was 3blocks down from my house. When I checked if the house was empty I started to build the time machine to the future.
When I started to put the last piece on the time machine my phone started to ring so I picked up my phone and answered it, my mom told me to come back to the house or she will ground me. Before I left I covered the time machine for no one can find it. When I got home, I told my mom that I wasn’t hungry and started to walk up the stairs until my dad reminded me to do my homework so I started to do my homework when out of nowhere I fell asleep. The next day after school I ran to the old abandoned house where I left my time machine at. When I left Layla followed me and when she saw me go in the old abandoned house she wondered what I was doing so she went in and saw me pull out my time machine. Layla scream in excitement and asked me if that was a time machine so I told her the truth and said “yes”. Layla told me that I should take it to the contest at the school, but when she told me about it, I asked her how do you know that? Layla said before the contest I ran out of school our teacher told us about the contest. I told Layla that I will take my time machine to the contest if you will test it out …show more content…
for me? Layla told me yes, so she put her backpack down and got in the machine, when I flipped the switch Layla disappeared but not her rings on her fingers.
When I then switch again, she came back with a butterfly, but after 1 minute it disappeared. After she came back her phone started to ring so Layla told me that she needed to but before she left, she reminded me to bring the time machine tomorrow after school. When I got home, ate my food really fast and I ran upstairs to do my homework, but I remembered that I finished my homework at recess so I just fell asleep on my bed. Before I went to school, I picked up my machine at the old abandoned house and started to walk to school. I put the machine in the lunchroom before I went to class. When school was over Layla and I started to walk to the lunch room when the lunch room was packed with kids and machines all over the place. When all the kids stood by their machines when the judges started to walk around when they stopped at my machines. The judges asked me what my machine did so I told them that it is a machine that takes you in the future. Layla told the judges it’s true because I tried it out yesterday. When the judges started talking to each other, I asked Layla what they’re doing and she said they chose a winner. When the judges stopped taking one of the judges pulled out a ribbon that said 1st and they put it on my machine. The judges asked me if they could have it and I told them yes. I took the ribbon of my machine
and ran to my house. I showed my mom the ribbon and she said that she will take me out to my favorite place in-an-out and then we left to in-an-out. THE END
After getting Alisha’s attention I hid the toy behind a large piece of cardboard, she proceeded to peek behind the cardboard to see where the toy went, and she giggled when she found it. Next, while she was watching me, I dropped the bear behind a lazy boy. She looked at me and said “uh-oh”, then walked over to investigate the lazy boy, once again she found the toy. Then, using a small blanket, I hid most of the toy and left out one of the arms. At first, she walked away, her mom was making food and dropped a pan, so Alisha went to see what was going on. But afterwards her mom redirected her towards me, and I got her attention back, and then Alisha looked under the blanket and found the toy. This time, I completely hid the teddy bear under the blanket, at first, she didn’t pay much attention, she was trying to play with her building blocks, but I got her attention by saying “where’s your teddy?”. Next, she looked for the toy under the blanket and said “there it is” after finding it. For the final test, I hid the toy under the blanket multiple times, and she continued to look for it. Then, I hid the toy under a new blanket but left the old blanket next to the new one. At first, she looked under the previous blanket, where she had previously found the toy. She seemed surprised to see it wasn’t there, put the blanket down, and then pick it up again. However, after realizing the
Before, I could even take note, it was already October. It was time for me to pack everything in my room, and say my final goodbyes to my family members. I was going to leave everything that meant a lot to me behind. Previously, before October, we picked up my dad from the airport so that he could help us load all of our belongings to the U-Haul truck. Lily, ‘my cousin’, (we aren’t related, she is just a very close friend who I consider family) was staying with use because she want to see her father, who was also living in Denver. My mom and dad, sister, uncle, cousin, and I all stayed at the house one last night. I remember that my sister said that all her friends gathered around my mom’s car to wave goodbye to her. Her closest friends got very emotional and they started to cry. Not only did the move affect me, it also affected my sister greatly. It was like someone had given her a punch in the stomach. By the next day, we had everything in the U-Haul truck, and it was time for me to leave my precious Vegas behind. We had now started the drive to
I sprint up the stairs to my shabby apartment, taking them two at time. I've had a long day at work and I need to jump into the shower before I meet a client for a dinner date. I fumble for the key with my right hand. When the stubborn door finally opens, I fly into the apartment and kick the door closed behind me. I punch the play button on my answering machine while getting ready to take a shower. The first message is from my client saying he will be a little late. Good. Ten extra minutes. The second message is the chairman of the Person of the Year contest telling me that I had been...
My mom had been going to school in Greeley and staying at my Aunt Margaret's house . She had been away for two weeks and wanted to come home for the Fourth of July weekend. My mom had suggested that I go back with her and visit colleges, shop, go to movies and just spend time together. I had been feeling pretty sorry for myself since she had been gone. I had been working alot as a maid and helping my dad run the house, I was getting very irritated with my siblings as I felt that I was the only family member doing my part to help my dad. I was really excited to have a week with my mom to myself. The whole ride over we were talking about what I wanted to do that week. Making plans and having "me time" seemed very important at the time.
As we continuously talked, the others continuously gave me dirty looks. When one of the damas yelled “Look it, now he’s trying to get at your cousin Marie”. They all laughed and made me and my partner feel uncomfortable. “The day of the fifteen is almost here and we still don't have all of the steps right” yells the choreographer. As we practiced that whole week for hours me and Jessica continued to talk, and the others continued to talk trash as if I weren’t there. The day of the fifteen came. After we finished the church, like most fifteens we went inside a limo. As we were in the limo Jessica sat next to me and we began to talk. As we continued to talk I felt the urge to put my arm around her (because we were squished) my urges became stronger and stronger until I finally did it; put my arm around her. To me that meant nothing a lot of friends put their arm around each other I thought, but the others thought otherwise. Time flew by while we were in the limo as if just a second ago we were in it and now the driver is dropping us off at the hall
I was glad I had won. Or so I thought. Then lightning fast my bathroom door swung open. I jumped up looking around the room for signs of anything. I heard my floor board creak all around the room. By my window I heard scratching on the glass. I heard steps walking across to my little shelf full of all my pictures; I had a worried look on my face thinking of all the thing that could happen. Nothing did. I waited and waited but nothing happened. I slowly walked over to my bed I sat down looking around the room. As I finished my the door I remember my mother. I had to make sure she was okay. I jumped out of bed and that was when everything went
I was lying in my bed, shocked and didn’t know what to do. Right then, my sister Kathryn, came out of her bedroom and went down the stairs. Me and my sister, Amanda, jumped up out of our bunk beds and followed after Kathryn. “Why are you here?” Said Kathryn. It was six o’clock in the morning and a policeman was standing in our living room. Well, I guess that’s one way to start a morning. He told us that he had been notified that there was a child in the road a couple blocks aways. He said that she told them her name was Heather and she only had pajamas on and no shoes. My sister Hannah came upstairs and the policeman told her what was going on. Hannah stared at the
When I was young I remember watching movies and television shows with flying cars, robots, hoverboards, etc. I have always been interested in movies, television shows, and even books relating to the future. A movie series I loved while growing up was the Back to the Future movies. My favorite of the franchise was Back to the Future II when Marty, the main character, goes to the future where there are hoverboards and flying cars. Being only seven years old, I was positive this is what the future was going to be like and with television shows like The Jetsons (a children’s cartoon show that depicted the future with flying cars and robots as maids) adding to the assumption we would have so many technological advances, it was hard for me not to
She wakes me up when we are back at her house. I catch my second wind. Throw on my after prom clothes and head out. When we get there it was so chill free bowling tokens and food. We bowl for a little bit. Then we got a drawing of the both. It keeps getting later and later she is getting tired so she goes home. I start hanging with a girl I met a few months earlier named Taz. We hung out till around 5. I'm about to head out and she wanted to go with me. So I agreed to take her home. She lives in Offallon and I live in Belleville. I took her home and I start driving back to my house. Sings start moving my motor skill are horrible and I think to myself this must what it must be like to drive drunk or
Everyone ordered food except Kelly and I because we didn’t have any money. Because McDonald’s was so close to my house, we decided to ride our bikes back and get money from my dad since he had just gotten home. We got to my house and my dad gave me money for both of us to eat, he even asked if we wanted him to drive us there so we did not have to ride back, but since it was such a nice day we chose to ride our backs back. We then hopped back onto our beach cruisers and headed back towards McDonald’s. We waited at the crosswalk to cross the street. After crossing Cedar Road and heading towards our destination, it was then that Kelly had realized she had dropped her phone at the crosswalk light on the other side of the street, and it was then that my whole life would change in a matter of
Then we walked into a curved hallway and we walked into a room with humanoids being killed like people in a mental hospital because they are to crazy. Then we started walking into a room with possessed girls and they were singing then an old tv came on and a man said get them and they girls started coming at us and then we walked into another room. When we walked into this room I thought that we were outside as we kept walking there was the sound of a chainsaw I turned around and I realized that a lunatic was chasing us with a chainsaw the girls behind me screaming and were pushing us. Then we finally got out of there and Tre started talking to some people from his school so I made him follow me back to the car because I was ready to leave. So we went into the car and and went back into the house when we got back we builded a fort and we played on our phones until we eventually went to
The doc told me this would happen. I’d feel sick, nauseated with a headache. Couldn’t do anything about it. I woke in an alley-way and everything was spinning, I couldn’t focus on anything. I tripped, I stumbled out of there, like a deranged drunk and went out with one intent only. To save the future.
" I can do it… I can …" I kept repeating this line over and over again
When I got home I quickly got ready, I ironed my cap and gown, did my make-up and hair, and made my last phone call to Andrew. I called him right before I left and asked him if he was sure he did not want a ride. Again he responded politely and on my way I went. When I got to the high school everyone was taking pictures, laughing, and talking about how they were g...
I never really thought about where my life was going. I always believed life took me where I wanted to go, I never thought that I was the one who took myself were I wanted to go. Once I entered high school I changed the way I thought. This is why I chose to go to college. I believe that college will give me the keys to unlock the doors of life. This way I can choose for myself where I go instead of someone choosing for me.
