The end of my junior year was a hectic few months. Amongst studying for AP tests, playing basketball, and applying for a summer job, I hardly had time to think about where I wanted to go to college. Everyday I received letters from colleges telling me why I should apply there, and it was hard to keep track of all of them. To be quite honest, I had never heard of Tulane before receiving a letter in the mail, but something about it sparked my interest and I knew that I needed to learn more. After a quick google search for “Tulane University”, I spent the better half of that night exploring the website and following Tulane on every social media account I had. In just one night, I went from never hearing of Tulane, to researching how much it would
...history, and the great tradition that everyone talks about. I went to Elders library and looked for books about Notre Dame, there I stumbled upon a book called “A Hundred Years”. The book was about the first hundred years of the Universities existence, and all of the Deans. I read through a couple pages and i was very intrigued. It was a book comprised of how the tradition began, and letters from every dean talking about the University and changes that needed to be made.
“Coastal Carolina is too far away for you to come home when you have the chance.” Kaylee (my Girlfriend at the time) said to me in my first car as we talked about college choices. I told her about my acceptance to Coastal Carolina University I received from Mrs. Emmons (personal guidance counselor in high school) during a school day, early February. Kaylee’s words made me start a to question myself; “What other colleges can I choose?”. I came home and sat down with my parents in the living room with my Coastal Carolina acceptance letter in my hand and they were proud of me. I asked my parents the same question I asked myself earlier that day “What other colleges can I choose from?”. When

Prompt: In 500 words or more, describe your collegiate experience thus far. How has this experience and the knowledge you've gained influenced what you plan to study? How have they influenced your decision to apply to St. Edward's?
Although the decision of where to attend Graduate school may be difficult for some, this was one of the easiest decisions I have made about my future. The past four years at ECU have helped me grow into the person I am today and helped me decide to stay at ECU for the MSA program. The experiences I have encountered while in college have helped me reach my goals and I look forward to other experiences at ECU that will help me accomplish my short-term and long-term career goals.
Most graduating high school students struggle when deciding what college they want to attend after they graduate high school. Students must decide based on a number of criteria. Some students decide where they want to go to college based on location, while some students make the choice of going to a specific college based on their financial status, and other students focus more on educational opportunities. Athletics, social experiences, size, and atmosphere are also criteria that come into play when deciding what college to attend. Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi is a great choice that can please any personality that steps on campus.
College was such a big ordeal around this time last year! Many students had no choice but to think about it every day and I was surrounded by friends and classmates thinking about the same thing. Am I sure this is the school for me? Do I really want to move away or just stay near my mom? I even thought to myself, “What about moving out of state?” Everyone was so nervous, and everyone had the right to be. We are all trying to take the next step into moving on after high school. Until April 5th, 2016, my proudest moment was this day. I received acceptance into the Alabama A&M university. It was just a regular day that I had come home to mail from different universities, and my mom and I had applied here already with my mind on going to a predominantly
As the end of my senior year in high school approached, I had to make an important decision. What school was I going to spend the next few years of my life at? When the financial aid packages arrived, I was torn between two colleges. After sitting down with my mother and discussing the advantages and disadvantages of both schools, I came to my final decision. It seemed like a year ago I was imagining what college life would be like and suddenly before my eyes, I would be a college student in a matter of four months.
Attending Florida Southern College was the best choice i’ve ever made in my life. Hands down. This school has opened doors for me and has granted me opportunities i never thought i’d experience. The past four years I’ve spent my time in New York at community colleges not truly knowing what I wanted to do with my future just trying to find some sense of direction and a field of work where I could flourish. My experiences at those colleges was a joke, not trying to degrade any community college because there are a lot of positive aspects of these schools, but I didn't feel engaged. I felt everyone there went to class and did the work because they felt they had to. Even the teachers seemed like they weren’t enjoying themselves. My biggest fear was having to graduate and go out into a world where I had no experience, with a degree from a college that just thought of me as another number. When I came to FSC that all changed. FSC granted me opportunities that mattered to me. I joined clubs, a fraternity, I started doing community service, became engaged with my major, and started planning ahead and preparing for my
My original plans were to go to SUNY Cortland my first semester. Not knowing what I planned on doing at first, I applied to SUNY Cortland too late and my application wasn’t accepted due to how late it came in. Now, at TC3, I started pursuing my career and am taking business administration course...
How could you say coming to the University of Sioux Falls a sad tragedy? The story line goes like this. You're having a great day and not worrying about anything, instantly you get a call from your parents. There is dead silence when you pick up the phone, ten seconds later they mumble in a soft voice that your grandparents passed away. You simply feel helpless and upset for the reason that it was your fault that they passed away.

Along with a varied student population that creates an ideal setting conducive for personal growth and enlightenment. Tulane had been on my radar since the first wave of colleges began to court me. It stood out as a very good school in a very good location, with some interesting degree plans and quite a bit of spunk. I was intrigued. But once I stepped foot onto the campus and saw this massive tree dripping with Mardi Gras beads, I was enamored.
My first week at Southern Vermont College has been great. There isn't anything I would complain about it. Vermont is very different from South Florida, where my family and I reside, but I enjoy it. The campus is a very peaceful environment. The mountains and green scenery is breath taking. When I came to SVC I expected the college to be very small and not really have too much going on. To my surprise, I was wrong. The school is surrounded by so much land that it appears larger than what it is. I realized there is more to the campus than what is shown on the internet.
“You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something in your life” said Winston Churchill. I was faced with a situation at Bethel University that has been the biggest problem I have ever faced in my life. I was accused of harassment. Bethel University handles this problem with little to no evidence just a statement from someone, and that wasn’t the only problem. Bethel also took everything away from me without having all the information, and basically only allowing me to go to class which hurt my reputation as a student. I kept asking myself why didn’t Bethel University stand up for me, and why was I treated unfairly by the administration, faculty, and security. The administration treated me as if I was a criminal before I even had time to take in,
