My role model is Mother Teresa, she is one of the most inspiring people in the world. Mother Teresa cared about others that were in need. She doesn’t have any selfish bone in her body. Mother Teresa is caring, selfless, religious and a risk taker. She motivates me to be a better person, and this is why I chose her as my role model.
Mother Teresa is very compassionate, she dedicated her entire life to helping others. She showed so much compassion and used this to help the people around the world. As Mother Teresa once said “ Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.” Mother Teresa loves all of those around her, she even finds the good in every person she meets. When Mother Teresa visited India, she was determined to help the poor. She saved so many lives in Calcutta. She understood the pain of others who lived with misery every day and worked to help them. In 1979, she received the Nobel Peace Prize for “ The most wretched have received compassion without condensation.” Looking at what Mother Teresa did for others, I wish I could be just like...

When others didn't accept, receive, or help those in need, Saint Teresa did. I admire her greatly for her acts of selflessness, humility, and charity. Additionally, what I find most interesting about Saint Teresa's life is how Jesus called her to serve on September 10, 1946, during a train ride for her annual retreat. On that day, Jesus revealed His pain at the human neglect of the poor, His sorrow at their ignorance of Him, and His yearning desire for their love. Jesus himself asked Saint Teresa to establish a religious community dedicated to the service of the poor.
A role model is someone that is sought for guidance, and often admired. When thinking of my own role model, the qualities I wish to have when I become an adult come to mind. When scanning through the many influential adults that have shaped who I am today, deciding on just one role model is a difficult feat. However, I see the person I wish to become, reflected in the life of my dad. For that reason, my role model is my own father.
Mother Teresa was a global icon and loved by millions and millions of people. She was one of the greatest humanitarian in this world; A simple definition of humanitarian is someone who cares for the poor (“Kids”). Mother Teresa was born on August 26, 1910. She was born in Albania in a town named Uskup. During that time the town was under the Ottoman Empire rule. It was not until after many years later that the name was changed and government ruling also. The new name of the town was Skopje and governs under the Republic of Macedonia. The name that was given to her at birth was Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu (“Mother Teresa-Facts”).
Her first charity was opened in 1971 in New York City. In February of 1965 , Pope Paul VI granted Mother Teresa the Decree of Praise, this led to Mother Teresa gaining more opportunities for charity. Mother Teresa dedicated her life to children living in the slums of Calcutta because that is what made her happy. She wrote, "Where is my Faith—even deep down right in there is nothing, but emptiness and darkness—My God—how painful is this unknown pain—I have no Faith—I dare not utter the words & thoughts that crowd in my heart—& make me suffer untold agony." Mother Teresa believed that she received faith from helping
My father is my biggest role model and always will be. He has taught me everything I know.
Mother Teresa should have helped the poor for three reason. Mother Teresa was called to minister to the poor by God, she would help the children of the poor, and she would reflect the love of Christ to the outside...
Who comes to mind when thinking about who the best role model is? Is it a friend? A sibling? Possibly a parent? For me, When thinking about who the best role model to have is, one person in particular comes to mind. She has been there my entire life, has seen me through thick and thin, and always supports me in everything that I do. The person that I consider to be the best role model is my older sister, Kelly. To this day my sister and I aren't joined at the hip, and I don't speak to her everyday, but my sister is still one of my closest friends. Growing up we saw things differently, but as I grew up and saw my sister go through life with a confidence still unrivaled, I realized she was the one person who I could count on to pick me up when
Role models can make a huge difference in a child's life. My Physical Education teacher had a major impact of effecting of what I want to be now. Aleta Jo Crotty helped me to learn to take responsibility for my actions, and in my choices I am in control. By using guidelines that was set by her for my life, I hope to reach just one child.
During this time period, Mother Teresa adopted Indian citizenship and spent several months in Patna to receive medical training at the Holy Family Hospital before venturing off to complete her charity work. She began her missionary work by founding a school in Motijhil, Kolkata, and from the start, Mother Teresa was joined by a group of young women who helped her form a religious community with the basic foundation of helping the “poorest among the poor” (“Mother Teresa,” n.d.). While Mother Teresa’s efforts were noticed by several officials, the first year of her missionary work was wrought with difficulty. During this time, Mother Teresa had no income, she had to beg for food, and the temptation to return to her previous life at the convent was great. A diary entry written by Mother Teresa herself describes in detail the hardships and lessons that she experienced: “Our Lord wants me to be a free nun covered with the poverty of the cross. Today, I learned a good lesson. The poverty of the poor must be so hard for them. While looking for a home, I walked and walked till my arms and legs ached. I thought how much they must ache in body and soul, looking for a home, food, and health. Then, the comfort of Loreto came to tempt me. ‘You have only to say the word and all that will be yours again,’ the Tempter kept on saying, ‘of free choice, my God, and out of love for you, I desire to remain and do whatever be your
Many people find someone in his/her life to look up to, a role model. There are many different kinds of role models; they can be singers, public speakers, a parent, or even a friend. Role models also are not determined by certain criteria. A role model can be a role model just because they are a leader or have a great talent. Oprah Winfrey is considered a role model to many individuals because of her tough childhood, wonderful charity work, her schools, and the true relationships with her fans. Oprah stands out among many people on her ability to feel others’ pain and help those people get through their troubling times.
My grandma is my role model because she has accomplished so much and been through so much in her life. She is a very beautiful person, but very stubborn in what she believes and wants. Its almost impossible to get her to change her mind. She is always telling me how proud she is of me and has pretty high expectations of me. My mom is also a role model for me because she had a rough childhood and after she started a family she went back to college she is still attending college now, she gives me motivation to never give up and reminds my of how good my life is
Another one is obviously because she is my mother, I respect her, and I love her to death. My other role model is Yvonne Strahovski, the actress from ‘Chuck’ because if you watched her in interviews and videos, you can see that she is humane, sweet, intelligent, fun, talented and a strong woman. She supports and gives money to charities such as St. Jude’s Hospital. She supports animal rights and she adopted a dog from an animal foundation. She is a great example of a good role model. I used to look up to Selena and I still do, I loved all her songs and she had a beautiful
Many of us have role models in our lives and to most people role models are athletes and movie stars, but to me a role model is much more. To me a role model is a person who has positively influenced someone in life, and is not a person filled with selfishness and greed. They help shape someone’s personality, and characteristics. They are people who someone can look up to for advice in a hard situation, and know that they will give those words of wisdom. They will never judge our past actions, instead only look to help because they really care. A role model is someone who we should never feel awkward talking to about our problems. A perfect role model for me is my mother. She is a wonderful human being. She’s smart, wise, ambitious, patient and such a loving person. There are no words that can describe my gratitude towards her, but through this essay I will describe some of her characteristics that makes her my role model.
My grandfather was my role model because he would always help others. He was a doctor, and he would treat patients, even if they could not pay him. It did not matter to him. All that mattered was that he was able to help someone.
