Personal Narrative: My Passion For Writing

I have always had a passion for writing however, I do struggle with it. My weaknesses and strengths are what make my writing style so unique. I struggle with directly writing down my thoughts and feelings. It takes me awhile to develop a good writing flow. Especially if I am not given specific guidelines for the paper. I also have problems with my word choice. Of course, I want my paper to consist of intelligent vocabulary; but I often use words that just do not make sense in the context. Despite my weaknesses I have very many strengths that somewhat balance out my flaws. I have such a creative mind when it comes to writing because I perceive situations in so many different ways. This opens up my choices of exactly how I want to write my paper.

That may possibly be why I struggle with getting my final ideas down; because I have many good options that I am trying to collaborate together. My goal in this class is to improve my sentence fluency. I want to be able to clearly express my thoughts in a direct and sensible order. I also want to gain techniques on how to write down my ideas quicker. It takes me hours to finish a first draft. My previous English teacher, Ms. Jayne, truly worked with me in and
outside of class to improve on my writing. She helped me tremendously with my sentence fluency. At the end of my senior year, I actually qualified to win a reward for a paper written in Economics class. That was a great accomplishment that I was very proud of.
