I remember my dad always watching soccer news every night before going to bed. From an early age I always knew I would be playing soccer my whole life. My dad showed me the ropes of how to play and got me interested right away. My dad started teaching me to play soccer since I was very young. He used to be a soccer team’s captain when he was in university, so he was very good at soccer. Every weekend, he would bring my brother and me to a soccer field in our neighborhood, and we would play soccer with other people until sunset. Every time we go there, we always ended our days by practicing our shots. I still remembered learning to kick a power shot, a chip shot, and the trickiest one which is my favorite: a bending shot. Apart from this, watching soccer matches has always been my favorite pastime. When I have time, I like to watch soccer with my family because not only the fast-paced nature of a soccer game never cease to excite me, but also because I can observe and learn from real professional players themselves.
When I turned three, I started playing my favorite sport to this day, Soccer! I love soccer because it gives me this feeling of excitement and I just love winning with all of my friends on the field. I loved soccer and I looked forward to it every day. I met a lot of my friends in soccer and it is one of the reasons that I started to become an athletic person. Soccer is still my favorite sport and I love it. I am planning to still play soccer up to the varsity team.

I have constantly loved soccer since the day I began playing in California for my youth soccer group.I had never followed it much and just knew how to play until I moved to India. As the Nike football spun through the air on a breezy fall day, all I could hear was “catch it with your eyes”. At 3 years old I could not understand what my dad actually meant when he said that.
I was always taught that soccer was to be about the love of the game and that it should be fun. Unfortunately, I faced many obstacles that I needed to overcome before I could truly love the game for what it was worth. I grew and continued to love the game, knowing little at the time of the obstacles I would be faced with, and would need to overcome. My struggles with soccer began early in my life. I was an average player, who had a drive to succeed and go far.
One person is all it takes to change your life from better or worse. I would have never guessed that my football coaches would have been the people to change my life so much. When I first joined football my freshman year of high school I was an ok kid looking to be more involved in athletics. I wanted to be a starter but I was on the B team because I was lazy and didn’t listen. I didn’t really care about it either until sophomore year came, that’s when I met coach Aubry and mainly coach Rustman. They had a whole new level of standards and I liked it because it gave me a sense of responsibility.
Playing soccer has many benefits that make it my favorite sport. Soccer is a contact sport and I love the way that people have to work together in order to succeed. My strengths are used when I am playing this game and being competitive. I feel that I grow stronger as a person too. Traveling and meeting new friends adds a great social facet to the game as well. Soccer is just like a dream come true for me. One day I wish to become a professional soccer player and live out my soccer
