Personal Narrative: My Orthodontic Treatment

Orthodontic treatment has aided me in several ways. It helped keep my teeth looking perfect and straight. It aided me with self-discipline, and it made me a more responsible person. My mood also changed drastically, putting me in a better mood every time I smile. Most importantly, orthodontic treatment has taught me to be who I am today.
First of all, if I had not gotten my braces, then my teeth would not be how they are today. They are perfectly straight thanks to Dr. Spiller. I wear my retainer every night. Their company has allowed me to design my own retainer, and I wear it every night to keep my teeth straight for the years to come. Every time that I have an orthodontics appointment, I am greeted with a smile. The staff always makes me feel welcome, and they are gentle when working on my teeth. All of my pictures were just smiles without teeth. Getting my braces has made a significant impact in my life. It has taught me the responsibility of taking care of my teeth. If I had not worn my retainer and taken the time to put it in my mouth every day and night, then my teeth would not be perfectly straight like they are today.
Another way braces have helped with being more responsible was with all of the extra cleaning I had to do. I had to learn a whole new way to floss my teeth. It was a difficult process, but I had to keep my teeth clean. I also had to use mouthwash every night, which was disgusting. Mouthwash is not the best tasting fluid, but it did keep my mouth minty fresh.
All three of my siblings had the privilege to get braces at the Badger, Spiller, and Nicholson Orthodontics in Scottsburg, Indiana. It helped all of our lives (and teeth) grow stronger together. We would all remind each other to put in our retainers at night, and we helped keep track of each other’s retainers so no one would lose
