My dad always tells us that a successful person has to have strong academic, communication and social skills. I thought that with my good performance in school and in public speaking competitions at our Sunday school, I had everything covered. In the high school, I realized what my dad meant. I interviewed for the Federal Reserve Challenge team and got onto the highly selective team. In the Fed Challenge competition, all teams have to go to Federal Reserve Bank of New York and present monetary policy based on current economic conditions. Presentation is followed by Q&A session where all team members have to provide succinct answers to the interviewing officials while thinking on their feet. Right information needs to be delivered in
A successful individual is one who views themself as successful demonstrated by not caring how others perceive you. Everyday, people who see or hear
Success can be an extremely broad subject. There is an abounding amount of different views on what the “true” definition of success is. Personally, I believe that success is finding happiness. Success is waking up in the morning and not having to worry about whether or not the bills are going to be paid this month. Success is having a job that you enjoy going to every day. Success is having friends and family who love and support you. Success does not mean that one has to be exceedingly rich or have a lakeside mansion. As long as they are happy, they have succeeded in life.
I have always loved sports and the competitiveness that comes along with them. In so doing, I have decided to eventually become either a high school or college coach at some point in my life. Subsequently, I decided to interview the Vilonia High School Cross Country Coach, Coach Sisson. As I walked into her office, I instantly noticed all of the trophies and team photos from all of the past years of coaching. She is also the school nurse so her office has first aid equipment intermingled into the trophies and team pictures. While I set up my notes and questions for the interview on one of the desks in her office, she was finishing up a diagnosis of one of the high school students who felt sick. After her patient left, I quickly started the interview in order to waste no time. She began with how she got involved in coaching. The Vilonia School District expressed their interest to her as being the next cross country coach several years ago. She was widely known for her passion for running and she gratefully accepted the position and has been a coach for numerous years now.
how you define success. For example, my version of success is a college degree, and
Success is a very personalized term. It can be defined in many different ways and like itself there are also many ways to achieve it. Success is a term that everyone has a different opinion on but one thing remains the same: we all want to be successful. We all want to be good at the things we desire most. Two great activists for the cause of success are Arnold Schwarzenegger and Greg Plitt. Both are men who demand great respect. Not only for being at the top of their classes but for also going beyond that and topping many of the ranks for things they are passionate about. Their success not only was noticed but radiated into the minds of people and children everywhere inspiring them to be great. Though they may have their differences both men
In conclusion one comes successful when he beliefs in himself and takes his own journey. Not falling into the norm as everyone else because life is easy when you are told what to do and do not take any chances in it. It is not until when you take some chances that you actually live, until then you are dead as the ones that lye below the surface being nothing more then food for the worms.
Having admirable character, making conscientious decisions, and possessing positive determination are key ingredients for remarkable success.
Personal success is also a big part of living well. 'There is only one success . . . to be able to spend your life in your own way, and not to give others absurd maddening claims upon it.'; This quote by Christopher Morley describes what is really meant by personal success. Personal success has to do with being happy. One can only be truly happy if they are happy and secure with themselves. Personal success is about being yourself and not being afraid to do so. It is about not letting others dictate your life or make you feel that you have to change who you are.

A person needs to achieve certain goals in one's life before you can call them successful. Success is to achieve goals, you have set. I have set certain goals I would like to achieve in my lifetime. Some of these goals are personal while others are professional. What does it take to be successful? This question cannot be answered, as there are many definitions of what success really is. No matter how one describes it, there are a certain set of skills that are necessary across the board; those being interpersonal skills. These are just skills used to communicate among one another. If one cannot communicate efficiently, it can be catastrophic. Many of today’s citizens are having difficulty with this and it is impacting our society as a whole. The detrimental effects of poor interpersonal skills in American society begins at home and can harm one’s professional opportunities and mental state.
Many people are successful in life by doing things their own kind of way. Some people are not successful because of their pride, it is bigger than their own goals. A way to be successful is being respectful to others everyone deserves to be respected. Ambition can make people successful because they love money more. Determination to get things done can get us in a better position in life. Responsibility is one of the most important things because without it no one will ever take us serious.
For some it might be difficult to think of someone successful they know; but for me it is simple, the most successful person I know is my mom. My mom has not always had it easy in fact, I’d say her life has been quite difficult, but she’s always found a way around things. My older sister, Katie, was diagnosed with bipolar and ADHD around the age of ten; most mothers may have given up, deciding that the situation at hand was too hard to handle, but mine never did. Instead, she stayed firm in her faith and stuck it out, getting Katie medicated and counseled on a low budget; while also
Success takes many different definitions. People have different interpretations of what success really means. For me is as simple as: living well and laughing often. The idea of living well is a very broad statement. Living well, in my opinion is getting success in personal, social and professional life. If I can achieve all of these three levels of success, I believe that I have lived well.
Even though the definition of “success” has a very nuanced meaning depending on its culture and context, highly successful people typically exhibit the same universal characteristics. For despite common belief, successful people are not affiliated with some exclusive club and it has to do more with attitude than superior I.Q intelligence. Therefore, many people have the ability to learn about how they can be successful and do better than they are now. Due to having the privilege of interacting with successful people on a daily basis, I gradually coined my own theory of success. In addition, interviewing successful college students for the basis of the EPE course project has managed to further support and strengthen my theory. Yet rather than just being applied to an academic setting like a college or school, theses theories can be slightly modified to be applied in other aspects of life as well. It should be worth emphasizing that exhibiting some of these traits are likely good indicators of being a successful person, however there are a lot more not mentioned. For due to their vast variety, it would be extremely difficult to talk about each of them individually. As a result, I have taken the liberty of grouping them into broader categories and have listed them in no particular order.
