Personal Narrative: My Interview With A Nurse

I was able to shadow a physician and a nurse at my current placement in Family Medicine.
I spent an hour with the nurse and the rest of the day with the physician. The practice has 3 physicians, 3 PAs, 2 nurses and multiple admin staff. There are also a lot of different learners present daily.
I spoke with the above mentioned staff members throughout the day because the practice is very busy. The physician I spoke with told me that he decided to become one when he was in his final years of high school. He liked the pathophysiology of things and wanted to know more. Physician’s role is well defined in some aspects. Yet, every doctor working in this clinic have a “subspecialty”, something they like to deal with more. The physician I interviewed
