"If I could take the time back I would rewind back" -Robert Rahmeek Williams
The meaning to this quote is remembering the past and wanting to go back either to switch the past or live in the past once again. To quote really relates to my high school journey because there was a point where I didn't care for school, and I slacked off by not turning in assignments, and not doing homework. If I could go back in time to freshman year I would make better life decisions. I would take my classes seriously.
On my transcript some of my grades are good, okay, and bad. My best grades were for soccer, football, P.E and adobe photoshop. All the classes that catch my attention or i'm interested in are the ones I passed with a B or A. English I say

I did the worst in because I usually slacked on doing my homework, and homework was a big score in the grade book. My hardest class was math freshman year. 1st semester freshman year I passes but 2nd semester they switched my teacher and I failed. I didn't like the way he taught and I could not concentrate as well. From there I began not liking math. Now that I have a new teacher I feel math is easier to learn.
I figure that class will be a easy pass. Also I do have a period where I T.A which should also be a easy pass. I would say one of the classes that will be A challenge is Spanish class. I never learned spanish so this will be the 1st time. I think my biggest challenge would be my Financial literacy class. The work isn't so hard by concentrating is, because the class does not interest me.
I really don't need to retake classes because I all the classes that I failed during summer school. If i fail any classes I would have to retake summer school again. That's really not the best decision so hopefully I can keep my grades up. The only thing I need to graduate is past my future classes. In order to do that I must pay attention and complete assignments. I really need to not slack off because if i pass all my classes I may be able to use summer school to get a head. Getting ahead can get me a home period therefore I have more time to do homework and maybe even get a job.
Overall my grades are not acceptable, well at least not to me. I may have to go back and help teachers so they can raise my grade. My plans for this year are to focus during class, complete assignments, and even get a job outside of school. Once again if I could go back in time I would of made better
choices.
My GPA is a 4.1000 and it teeters between 4.1500 and 4.1000. I haven't ever had a C and my grades are all A’s or A+’s. I also make sure I behave in class, so my work habits grades are also all A’s and A+’s. I’m consistently make sure that I keep my grades where they are and I always am striving for my best. If I do happen to get a grade I'm not fond of, I make sure that as soon as possible I get my grade back up to the desired A or A+. For instance, once I had a complex goal not met, so as soon as I could, I made sure I got my grade up. Now that goal is met and my grade for that quarter is A+. Even in the topics I don't enjoy as much, I make sure I work my hardest. I’m always trying to improve my grade with extra credits and 4.0 opportunities. This shows that I do meet the grade requirement for
The most challenging class that I have taken during my senior year would be AP Calculus. Having to transition in going to Precalculus to AP Calculus have been a brave action for me to do. AP Calculus has been the class of my senior year that I am having the most struggle on. Even though I have been struggling in that class, I have the ability to make myself to go to tutoring with my AP Calculus teacher Mr. Ninofranco in order to clarify my confusions. I had to endure all the challenging courses with hard work and dedication to the subject in order to fully understand it and obtain a passing grade. This year, I have found my strength in having the ability to ask for help whenever I am confused at a certain point. I had the chance to take the advantage of using the resources that my school have made available to me.
My grades throughout my three years at Corona High have been consistent. Generally, my GPA is around
I realize keeping up your grades is very important and you should always keep them
I'm a C student so far and i'm trying to work on getting it to a A i've been struggling because my I put all my effort into developing my basketball skills rather than put it into my school work.It was tough for me last year because i didnt understand the work so that lead to me failing test and getting 0s for missing class work. The First marking period my average was way below what I usually would get. Now i'm more determined and trying to work to my full potential so i won't have to go down that same route i went junior year i lost all my privileges that year i wasn't able to do nothing until my grades went up.
That goal didn't go anywhere, I still had a lot of missing assignments this year which lowered my grades tremendously. There wasn't a time this year that I did well with assignments, I always had something missing at any point in the year. When it came to getting caught up and getting all my missing assignments in I didn't use my time wisely. For example homerooms purpose is to give you time to do homework and get caught up on things but all I did was mess around and never got anything done. So that sums up my homework problems this year, it didn't get better from last year but I don't think it got worse but this next one
After evaluating my schedule and calendar, what I am most worried about is seeing finals week. Finals week is going to cause me to study the whole week before and during the week to pass my exams. Also I am worried about all the readings I have for English and political on the same days. I will need to use my time efficiently to allow me to complete the readings for both classes. I feel that I can confidently approach my homeworks for math and english. I usually understand my math work which allows to complete the homework with ease. For my english writing response, I make sure to understand the writing prompt before I leave the class to complete my work with ease or ask questions before I leave. The bad habits that I must overcome is procrastinating and managing my time efficiently.
Let’s flash back in time to before our college days. Back to then we had lunch trays filled with rubbery chicken nuggets, stale pizza, and bags of chocolate milk. A backpack stacked with Lisa Frank note books, flexi rulers, and color changing pencils. The times where we thought we wouldn’t make it out alive, but we did. Through all the trials and tribulations school helped build who I am today and shaped my future. From basic functions all the way to life-long lessons that helped shape my character.
I'm psyched to begin high school this fall! The biggest thing I'm looking forward to is the freedom I didn't have last year. It's not that big of a deal, but I'll finally get to bring my backpack to class! I'll also get to go wherever for RAISE without having to sign out of our anchored RAISE class like we did in middle school. I'm interested in joining after school clubs like partners club and participating in the school plays! I want to try to do as many activities as I can because I never did much in the last two years. This includes being on the JV field hockey team and trying out for crew! I probably wouldn't have played any sports if my friends didn't encourage me. They're the best! I hope I can make even more who are in different
Fortunately, this isn’t an accurate reflection of my recent academic trends. I began to understand the importance of earning good grades around the end of sophomore year. I was not earning straight A’s up until that point, mostly due to the fact that I was lazy and hated doing homework. One day, I was looking at my grades and I was disappointed in myself because I knew they could have been much better. After some self-reflection, I realized that I had been seeing school as a chore, rather than an investment in myself. Once I realized that my high school grades will affect the rest of my life, I put school as my top priority, and my grades improved dramatically. I want to be as successful as possible, and that means I must invest as much time and energy as is necessary right now into my education in order to have it pay off later on in life. As far as foreign language goes, I tried as hard as possible in Spanish, but I was never able to consistently earn above a B. This is really the only class which I was never able to improve across the board, and this is reflected in my
As a student at Mountain Heritage High School, I began weighing my options for what I want to do with my life and what it would take to get the education to make that happen. My transition from Middle School to High School has been the biggest challenge I have had to overcome in the past years of my life. From my fourth grade year to my ninth I played the game of football and enjoyed every second of it. I was a defensive linebacker and started every game and really was leaning toward a scholarship to play for some college; however, ever since I was five years old, I played the mandolin and took lessons every Friday after school.
I just skimmed by with decent to below average grades not really caring about what happens. It wasn’t until junior year of high school when I found what I loved to do and what I wanted to do with my life (programming and mostly anything computer related). Now that I had a reason to succeed per se, I started turn my life around
There are 98,817 schools in the United States. Of this, only 1,412 are in Louisiana and from that, 10 are in Washington Parish. That means I had a 1 out of 98,817 chance of coming to Pine High School. From the moment we are born our only mission, whether we are aware of it or not, is to develop who we are. Every one of these details, big or small, create who we are. We develop or likes and interest, our dislikes, hobbies, hair length, body shape, and even which hand we are dominant with.
If you do really bad in school, you are going to have a really bad job. Then you will think back to your school days and wish you worked harder on your grades and did not just slack off. Grades take effort, and effort takes dedication to want to get good grades. You have to want to get good grades and then you have to put the work into getting those good grades.
Since I started at the University of Central Florida my grades have been progressively getting better as each week goes by. This is happening because the more that I am starting to understand what my particular two teachers are looking for the better I do on their assignments. I am taking two courses this summer. The first is Strategies for Student Success. This class teaches us strategies that will help us be successful students at UCF. This course teaches us about how to manage our time in college and outside of college as well. It also teaches us different techniques on how we can study for multiple classes and how to deal with our stress levels as we go through college as well. My other course that I am taking is English Composition 1.
