My four years of high school have been a real rollercoaster. There have been many good things and also a fair share of lousy memories. It has been four years of taking classes and some of them have been hard and some of them helped me choose what I have decided to major in for college. It is kind of funny how things turned out in the end with some relationships ,but in the end I really did enjoy high school because it helped me discover new things and interests. My high school experience has shaped me into a college ready, global leader and ready to graduate student by having a wide variety of different classes and clubs offered to deliver an experience that has shaped me into the person I am today.
My freshman year was exciting because I had never been to vaughn before. Before coming to VISA in 2014 I went to Bert Corona Charter School for middle school. In 9th grade I took biology, it was my favorite class that entire year. This was not the first science class I took in

Furthermore, VISA has shaped me into a global leader. One example of this is is when I took beginning orchestra in 10th grade. This was when I finally discovered my passion for music. I learned about something I had always been curious about but, music lessons outside of school are expensive so I never had the chance to figure out if I liked it or not. I have been in the schools music program for 3 years now and I really have to say that Mrs. Guerrero has done an amazing job at keeping us together and helping us be prepared for festival and concert. Thanks to giving music a chance, I have decided that I want to continue music in college, not as a career, but as more of a hobby in my spare time. In 10th grade I also took my very first AP class. The first one I took was AP Euro, even though I did not pass the test, I think I learned very useful skills and it was the first college level class I took in
Walking into Walnut Hills High School right now would have anyone thinking the just walked into the middle of a tornado. Everyone you look there are students running in and out of doors, in and out of cars, and most certainly either turning in missing assignments or retaking tests. There is only one way for you to explain all this ciaos, Senior Year, the year that all teens await with so much excitement and ambition and the year that every single hour long study dates pays off. For the class of 2021 this isn’t just their final year at Walnut Hills this is the year that friends separate and head off to their different university to follow their dreams.
High school did not prepare me for college at all. I didn’t even have to take any finals junior or senior year. Everything was very laid back and I felt like I had all the time in the world. My classes consisted of mainly art and band, so I didn’t have a whole lot of tough, time consuming assignments. The longest paper I have ever written was two pages. Even in my AP Calculus class everything was very laid back. I entered college with the same mindset; I thought I could handle
High school was not a completely dreadful experience, but I did not get a really an exceptional education. As I entered high school, I thought it would be a whole new exciting chapter in my life. I started out as an involved student, and went through all of the Advance Placement and Honor classes, and managed to be at the top 12% of my class. In high school, I basically placed myself to enjoy it; I joined all of the extra curricular activities I was interested in. I was in band, tennis, swimming, dance team, and Key Club. Sometimes I was at school for about fourteen hours a day, four times a week.
High school is where I had gained an awareness about how what I 'm learning in school is going to benefit me in the real world. I learned an retain a variety of information because the things that I did learn I felt like you would need to know to survive in the real world. A perfect example of this is driver 's ed where I learned to drive something that I do everyday frequently. Another reason why I learned and retain so much I because when I got into high school is around the same time I got my first job. This definitely opened the door in showing me how what I 'm learning in school applies to everyday work activities such as knowing and counting money this is where math comes in. Being able to talk and communicate writing and verbally this is where English comes in. All things that I needed to do in everyday
These last four years have been rough on me but luckily there have been some lessons learned through it. I have just looked forward and moved on to greater things in life. I leave behind the bad and move on to the good. A good quote to describe my adventure through high school is when Jeannette is talking to her mother. The mother says, “ Things usually work out in the end,” to where Jeannette replies, “What if they don’t?” The mother answers with, “That just means you haven’t come to the end yet.” The quote describes my struggles in life and also brings hope for a happier
I have to admit that I will not look fondly on my high school career. I spent most of my study time going out with my friends. I felt that I was paying my dues with the eight hours of boredom that began most of my days. Until now there were only a few classes that I enjoyed. In retrospect, I believe that it was my inability to choose the classes I took which resulted in my lack of enthusiasm on the ride to school each morning.
High school is a time in your life that at the time you think is the worst part in your life, but will later find out, that it is the best time in your life. Unlike my fellow senior classmates, I have come to the realization that I will miss this “shitty” place we call school. High school is a mixture of 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18 year olds. Unlike elementary and middle school, in high school, all students are mixed together. To me, high school is a time in your life to figure out who you are, who your friends are, and to make memories. I love high school and will miss every minute of it next year when I am off in college, alone. O Bentworth Senior High School.
High school is meant to be the time of your life, but for most seniors just like me it can be some of the most emotional and crazy time. The things in my past make me who I am today, and the things I do now are the first footsteps into the future. I’ve learned a lot about myself in these past four years, and I still have so much learning to do. This is my high school story; the good, bad, and the ugly.
My High School life has helped shape the way for my college experiences that I will face. My senior year in high school is not the same as many other high school students. I am taking many advanced classes to help me prepare for college. These classes help me better understand exactly how much harder I must work to succeed.
Let’s flash back in time to before our college days. Back to then we had lunch trays filled with rubbery chicken nuggets, stale pizza, and bags of chocolate milk. A backpack stacked with Lisa Frank note books, flexi rulers, and color changing pencils. The times where we thought we wouldn’t make it out alive, but we did. Through all the trials and tribulations school helped build who I am today and shaped my future. From basic functions all the way to life-long lessons that helped shape my character.
Graduating high school was one of my successful experiences that I have had in my previous years. It was such an eventful time full of knowledge, dedication, and inspiration. Having teachers that showed compassion for their students are one of the reasons why many of us have a diploma. They pushed me to have above average grades, because they knew that I had all the potential in the world to be successful. It seemed as if there was so many classes to take but so little time to do it.
High school is one of the most memorable experiences you are likely to go through. Focusing on my main goal, school, taught me how easy it is to strive and succeed no matter what class it is or how hard it is; as long as you are determined and committed the only thing stopping you is yourself.
I have had a great experience in high school after my first semester. I reunited with old friends that I have not seen since elementary school through sports and classes. So far, I have been doing academically well, and I have been working as hard as I can to keep my grades where I want them. My ultimate goals are to make it into my dream college, Dartmouth, and to eventually be the best at whatever I do after my schooling. I do not exactly know what I want to major in, but I do know that I am interested in orthopedics, marketing, nutrition, and general business.
Time flies so fast. Looking back, my high school is just like a movie, a lot of things happened. High School is four years of growing up and probably a time in your life where you go through the most changes. In high school you are able to discover yourself and find out who you are as a person. Each year is special and unique in their own way. My journey through high school was a tough one, especially because I decided to not only focus on academic work but also to invest quality time in extra curriculum activities. I wanted more than just academic excellence; I wanted to be a leader, I wanted to add value to every aspect of my life, I wanted a rounded education and not just mere schooling. My success story is what I will like to share with you; how I really made it and how this defines my personality. My journey in High School was scary, exciting, and successful.
The last semester of my junior year was mind boggling. I had the amazing opportunity to see First Wave perform at the national Keystone Conference in Orlando, Florida. In awe and inspired, at how poetry, music, storytelling, and hip-hop combined to tackle issues such as conformity and peer pressure. Not only did I want to be a part of the program, I wanted to graduate from the school that they attended as well. To be incorporated in a group of people with strong, creative minds will expose me to how other people view the world and give me experiences that I would not have the opportunity to have anywhere else.
