Personal Narrative: My First Football Team

It was a cold, dark Friday night. The field was freshly painted. The lights lit the field up. The stands were filled with people. The home team in the locker room getting ready. Kids were lined up outside to give the football players high fives. The other team was out on the field stretching. There was ten minutes till the game game started. The coach was giving a speech to the team to get them pumped up. Each coach had something different to say. But they were all ready for the game. This game was the biggest game of the year. It was two of the best teams in the area and both teams are really competitive. Both teams came out on the field and the national anthem played. Both teams stood on their sideline and gazed up at the flag with amazement and honor of being lucky enough to live in the United States of America. The game started home team kicked it off to the other team. They were tackled on the ten yard line. Then the other team got in a hudl.

The quarterback said, “run it” then shortly after said, “set!” Then the center snapped the ball and blocked the nose guard. The guard pulled crossed-over plant and lead the quarterback so nobody would hit him when he passed the ball. The right tackle gaped on backer. The left guard pulled and logged off the end. The quarterback made a perfect pass and got 15 yards on it. Now they are on the 45 yard-line on the opposite side of the field. They got back in a hudl and the quarterback went to the sideline to get the play from the coach. Then he ran back to the to tell his teammates the play. Once everyone got it they ran up to the ball and got into position. Then the quarterback said “set!” The center snap the ball. Everyone block the right person. The quarterback handed the fullback the ball and fullback ran it down for a touchdown. Then the home team made a
