Now that I am of age and gain a little bit of knowledge of aviation by taking this class I am completely positive that I want to become a pilot. I want to experience the thrill of flying around the world and also flying people there so they experience the same thing as me. I didn’t know much about aviation until this class and now I see I there is still a lot more to learn. I have just scratched the service. With hard work and dedication I believe this goal of mine will be obtain and conquered. Achieving this goal will complete my, “Intrinsic Motivations” of personal, making a difference in the world and satisfaction of doing a good job. Not only do I have my “Intrinsic Motivations” completed but also my “Extrinsic Motivations” of showing my
family, friends and teachers that I have achieved my goal and hope to inspire them to reach theirs. I am prepared to become a successful pilot in this world.
12 O’clock High is about a bombing group in the United States Army who flew missions over Nazi Germany. It begins with a costly mission commanded by Colonel Keith Davenport in where many planes did not make it back. The next day they are ordered to fly another risky mission which upsets Colonel Davenport causing him to complain to his friends about it. It then shows a scene with Brigadier General Frank Savage who is talking to General Pritchard about Davenport’s groups failures in recent missions. General Savage brings up that he believes Colonel Davenport is getting to close with his men and it is causing issues with the group.
Once stated by Dwight D. Eisenhower, “Motivation is the art of getting people to do what you want them to do because they want to do it.” The aforementioned ideology places an emphasis on an individual’s internal desires, rather than an outside/external force driving the individual’s consciousness (cognitive evaluation.) Therefore intrinsic motivation is one in which an individual 's own desire comes from within; a relentless and genuine passion for an intended goal. On the contrary, when an individual relies on external factors such as, a reward or any other form of external reinforcement, an extrinsic motivation is exhibited. Although society likes to stress the importance in pursuing an internal motivation, in today 's modern world, an extrinsic factor far outweighs an internal desire to accomplish an objective. Intrinsic motivation has several advantages over extrinsic motivation. First of all, intrinsically motivated learners are more likely to select challenging tasks. Second, evidence suggested that learners gain more knowledge when they read material that they consider intrinsically interesting. Third, the conditions that support intrinsic motivation also promote greater creativity and better conceptual learning. Fourth, intrinsic motivation is associated with greater pleasure and more active involvement in activities.” (p.
Based on the different reasons or goals that give rise to an action, motivation can be classified into intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation (Ryan and Deci, 2000). The first type, intrinsic motivation, refers to doing something because “it is inherently interesting or enjoyable” (Ryan and Deci, 2000, p. 55). This type of motivation refers to the reasons for L2 learning that are derived from one’s inherent pleasure and interest in the activity and the activity is performed because of the spontaneous satisfaction associated with it (Noels, 2001). Motivation comes in many forms and can be divided into two broad categories - extrinsic and intrinsic motivation. Extrinsic motivators are external factors which can motivate a student; rewards are an example of this. An issue with extrinsic motivators is that the desire for the learner to participate often lessens, once the rewards are withdrawn (McCullers, 1987). On the other hand intrinsic motivation comes from within - learning for the joy of it - where the desire to learn leads to a higher level of knowledge, and is a reward in itself. Kohn (1996, p.285) states that research suggests, “Rewards actually decrease interest in intrinsically motivating tasks, therefore sending the wrong message about learning” (as cited in Eggen & Kauchak, 2010a)

As president I would have sent in more planes for bigger destruction. One reason is because the planes only killed seven people. Also, I would have sent in not just the Cuban exiles but lots of my own troops too. I would have sent in a few battle ships to attack the troops on the shore. But castro also gave us a warning by saying he was going to send all troops too. I would have bombed them with our atomic bombs. In conclusion I would have sent in double the amount that Kennedy did.

Theorists believe that motivation within the classroom has its benefits when able to produce work from students. Some students have the ability to work without much motivation. This is known as intrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation is where students are able to motivate themselves and produce work at high standard. The students have to be determined to strive and have the self-ability to do the work that is needed (Brewer, Dun, Olszewski, 1988). Students who need more praise and encouragement to produce work come under the category of extrinsic motivation. Extrinsic motivation is about rewarding the students for their work. They also create jobs for many people which contributes to how they boost the economy. In conclusion, they appear as a more clean way to travel, helping out the Earth. The airplane was one of the most important inventions due to it creating jobs, creating easier cultural access, causes economic boosts, and created less pollution than most means of travel and also has an interesting history.
