For all my life I have been a very logical person. I love thinking systematically and checking off things on a “to-do” list. Thinking systematically especially also affects my goals. When I think about goals for myself, I can imagine all of my many goals separated into four categories, education and occupation, athletic, and spiritual goals.
My education and occupation goals are the strongest and most prevalent goals in my life. I want to be a physical therapist someday. In order to do that, I will have to complete an undergrad program as well as three years of graduate school. In order to get into an acclaimed graduate school I need to excel in an undergraduate program. A goal of mine is to get accepted into the honors program and stay on
My primary short term goal is to get accepted to a well-respected university. Even though admission decisions are virtually out of my hands, I truly believe that I will utilize the resources to their full potential. Additionally, I plan to finish my high school semesters with all A’s (no “senioritis”) and use it to transition into the college course load.
that I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field but I was not sure
Goals give you something to measure yourself against and give you direction. Currently, my main goal is to graduate from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree of science in engineering with a concentration in biomedical engineering. My anticipated time to graduation is five years with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Beyond getting my bachelor’s degree at East Carolina University, I would like to go to medical school and become a doctor focusing on prosthetics. In order to make my goals a reality, I will have to work diligently to remain on track throughout my schooling. Additional goals that I have set for myself are to complete homework assignments by the time they are due, reading assigned material before it is discussed in class, doing well in each of my courses this semester, successfully participating in extracurricular activities, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, getting a position as an engineer, and becoming a leader within both the engineering community and the general community. A world-class engineering student woul...
As a highschool student we come up with many goals that we want to achieve each year. My three main goals for my junior year are to get good grades and maintain a good G.P.A. to stay active and play sports, and to start looking for colleges to apply for. Usually, it is hard to achieve all your own personal goals, especially if it involves working extra hard or doing other tedious activities.
My academic goal is to graduate in the Top 10% of my class. I have gained knowledge of the nursing profession through classroom training activities, local medical facility visits, inspirational speakers and mentor presentations. It has motivated me to continue my education. It has also helped me realize that taking care of the needs of others is important; the way in which I can do this is by becoming a nurse. I know this is my calling to care for others, and for me this program has made it possible. I propose to myself to get at least an A in all my
I can reach my goals and dreams through discipline. There are many goals that I intend to fulfill. At the end of my senior year I hope to have achieved a 3.75 grade point average. If I successfully obtain a 3.75, it will ultimately make it much easier for me to get into college and further my career. I also want to obtain this just because I do not set many difficult goals for myself, so when I do, I feel that I must complete the goal successfully. I have always had the goal of becoming a Wildcat at the University of Kentucky. Nearly my entire family (on my father's side) has at some point attended the university, therefore, feel that I must attend the university as well.
My my personal goals are to get a 27 on my ACT, have a above a 2.8 GPA, and get a basketball scholarship to ORU. I need to jump into college with alacrity.I plan on reaching these goals by working hard and really focusing in all of my classes every single day and making sure I make enough time in my week to study for all my tests I take. Even if I have antipathy for a class I still need to be inquisitive and ask questions.
Life has no meaning without goals. In order to succeed setting goal is very important. Without setting goals there would be nothing to look forward to, or even have anything to achieve. Goals are a vital aspect of our lives. It gives a sense of self-confidence. I believe without goals life would just be a plain and no excitement at all. Long-term and short-term goals are intertwined and work similarly to build a house from ground up. I vision myself become a radiologist within the next three to five years. This is my present long-term goal. To achieve my long term goal I have two short term goals, first to get good grades in prerequisites courses and second to complete my grad school program with "A" grade minimum, because graduating with good grades is the stepping stone for my long-term goal.
As for personal goals, I would like to achieve mental and physical strength while creating a strong resume that correlates with an outstanding experience at college that shapes me into the man I want to be. Personally, I want to be able to become very adept at a variety of skills both recreational and on a work based level. My senior year alone I have taken on many new physically and mentally demanding tasks that take patience, enthusiasm, and perseverance to compete. Some of these events include rock climbing, snowboarding, and joining the National Honors Society. While all wildly different they all required a lot dedication and overcoming personal challenges to complete and get better.
The next set of goal setting importance is my personal goals with the first being to over come the obstacles associated with returning to school.
My ambitions consist of pushing myself physically to become stronger through lifting, to make the varsity soccer team this upcoming year, and to strive academically to get into Colorado School of Mines. In order to reach these goals, everyday, I put effort and determination into
My areas of interest outside academics include activism and service. Growing up in a country with no freedoms, I have enjoyed political sphere in American more than others. My activism in politics is focused on bringing minorities equal housing and access to quality early care. The housing system has determined the living standards for minority communities, so to improve the living standards people have to advocate for equal housing. Access to quality early care has been what has determined people’s success later in future whether it is in job aspect or pursuing highest education level. What I have seen from minority communities is that if community doesn’t raise the problems to their leaders change can’t come. I believe one way to solve that
I have always wanted to make good grades but I never really set any goals but, then I realized that setting academic goals are way more important than people realize . I then started to set goals like my sophomore year of high school after I did that it really helped me focus on my future and what I wanted for myself. My goals I think pushed me so much more academically they opened my eyes a little bit more. One Goal I set was to graduate High school with a Core 40 diploma, which I did, so that is one goal down and a bunch more to go. My senior year I started applying to college but my main goal was to make into Saint Mary-of-the Woods and when I received my acceptance letter I was ecstatic. So far, I am still trying to figure out my academic goals for college but, I do know for sure that I want to succeed in every single way that I can so I can make a better future for myself. A goal that I made this year is to make the dean’s list every single time, for this I will study so hard for every test, do all of my homework, and ask questions when I have them and maybe even getting a tutor. This challenge will probably be really tough but I believe that I can do it if I put my mind to it, and I tend to be a very determined
Although it's an extremely difficult struggle trying to obtain both short and long term goals. I've set a goal to obtain a bachelor's degree and ultimately go to law school to obtain a law degree. I am trying with everything in my beam to stay focused. One thing my parents have taught me is to always try and stay focused, in life you’re going to get off task you're going to be distracted but never lose focus or lose sight of your goals. Peer and social pressure can sidetrack you from your goals and it can become a major setback
