Recommended: The importance of attending college

My interest to attend UMD dates back to when I heard my brother say, “If you get in, you are in the best school in the state!” After watching him graduate from College Park in 2008, I had decided that I wanted to attend UMD from then on because of the beautiful campus and diverse environment that welcomes everyone. When I saw my brother walk across that stage, I thought to myself “How great would it be if I walk across that stage one day and make my parents proud?” and ever since I have dreamt of attending UMD.
