"Daddy? When are we going to be home?" I asked licking my double chocolate chip ice cream cone. "Anytime now honey just sit back and eat your ice cream. Maybe we can even play the Wii when we get home." My father said and I squealed with delight, this time I would make sure to beat him at Mario Kart. Then my dad stooped at the red light. "Another one of these things! Dad why do they have to make them, I hate how they make us wait to go home!" I started to pout, it wasn't fair a stupid light could stop you from getting to where you wanted. It was just plain old dumb. " Daddy needs to stop like everyone else so we don't get in a car crash, that would not be good." My dad looked back and smiled. "I love you honey," "I love you too daddy!" The red light switched to green and my dad started to drive. Then I heard a loud noise and I screamed as I heard my dad shout, "i love you baby!" Then I felt a crash. …show more content…
The whole car shook and it started to flip in circles, I screamed while crying the whole way down.
Then everything was done, the car was on its side and i steeped out of the broken window. My body felt like I had been put in an oven. I looked down and saw blood everywhere. My arms and legs were scratched pretty badly. "D-d-daddy?" Tears were starting to stream down my face. "Daddy where are you, I'm scared please answer me." I started to shake and I walked toward my dads seat. There was more blood then I had ever seen in my life, and when I looked down all I could do was scream. I screamed and screamed, My daddy was covered in blood, "Dad! Daddy answer me!" I fell to the ground and kept on screaming. I could hear sirens coming closer but I didn' care, I was scared and my daddy wasn't talking to me. He looked dead, like the bad guys in movies ended up like. I saw some flashing lights and strange men were running toward me. One guy Picked me up and brought me over to a car and sat me
down. "Hello honey, my name is Ryan. Were here to help you, and your father." I tried to listen to this Ryan guy but I couldn't stop crying. "It's okay, there there. We can help you If you can calm down a bit. I know that this is really scary honey but we need you to help us." "O-o-okay," I said slowly. "Okay, do you remember your name and age?" Ryan asked softly. "Umm, yeah it's Clarissa and I'm six years old." I replied while hiccuping because of crying. "Do you know what happened sweety?" "We were waiting at a red light and then it turned to green, then my dad started to drive. Then I heard this loud sound, then a really big crash and then..." Tears started to well in my eyes agin and my throat started to swell up. "Hey now its okay, lets just let the nice nurses finish looking at your wounds." Ryan said with a nice voice. I nodded silently and looked at the ground. Five days later There is a big box. but I couldn't figure out what was inside it.. It did'nt look like a present, those were never opened at the top. I went to go look but my mom pulled me back. " Mom I want to see whats in the box." I said, I had wanted to know for about an hour. This guy was talking but I wasn't listening, and everyone was crying. Even my mom was crying, and I tried to cheer her up but i couldn't. Maybe daddy wasn't here because he was sill at the doctors. The man stopped talking and people were standing up, my mom took my hand and we started to walk towards the box. I was so excited I finally got to see the inside! when we got there my daddy was in the box. He looked like my favorite Disney character Sleeping beauty. "Why is dad pretending to be Aurora? He looks so silly!" I started to giggle, Dad was always silly. We waited on the side and then these two men started to put the top on the box daddy was in! I tried to stop them but my mom pulled me back gently. "Honey, daddy needs to stay in the box. He is going to be put in the ground." My mom said as a tear ran down her cheek. "Mom, dad is only sleeping like sleeping beauty!" I screamed, they couldn't just bury him in the ground! "Clarissa, daddy is dead. He wont be with us anymore." All i could do is scream and cry when I hear that. I fell to the ground and cried. My mom was crying as she picked me up and we left that horrible place. I bolted upright in my bed, tears were streaming down my face. The accident had happen 12 years ago and still haunted my dreams. I looked at the clock, it was 5:50 A.M. I tured off my alarm that would go off in five minuets. I Took a deep breath and hopped into the sower to wash away the bad memories. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Hey guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ‘We’ll be alright Thomas, you me and Stella, well be ok’ my mom says hugging my Dad back
Father, computer server engineer, alcoholic, and felon. My dad, Jason Wayne DeHate, has influenced my life, not only genetically, but he has also improved my character and creativity throughout the years. Beginning at age two, I was cultured with profanity spit from rappers such as Eminem. While my mother was at work we had multiple videotaped “jam sessions” and coloring time that allowed for the foundation of friendship we have today. The jam sessions consisting of me mumbling and stumbling in front of the television, as he was “raising the roof” from his lazyboy. Since then, he has taught me how to rollerblade, change wiper blades, and play my favorite sport, tennis. Along with influencing my leisure activities and the music I enjoy, his prominent personality allows me to grow as a person. Being the only male figure in my immediate family, I
Her daddy pulled her blanket up under her chin and kissed her on the nose. She giggled; his beard tickled her face. "Tell me a story, Daddy."
My dad turned of his computer and glared daggers at me. “Leedya, how many times must I tell you I have no time for these needless activities? Please don't bother me again” he said quickly. In just that second all the hope I had wheezed out of me like I was a popped balloon.
It was a scorching hot May school day. My dad said, I got to school it was a good day as usual didn't get sent to the principal's office, well i guess that is an accomplishment for the day. He told me. “the rest of the day went okay so i got on the bus and went home.” He told me he did his impossible homework and his chores.
My face turned purple and then when the ambulance came, they put me in and while I was in the ambulance the quarter went down my throat. When I was in the ambulance I took a look around. Then we arrived at the hospital. The ambulance people grabbed the ambulance chair and took me to the X-ray room. When I was at the hospital My brother Dillon was worried about me. The X-ray room was big.
Someday, a day like the others, I was at my house with my family. Then, we went to the grocery store with my little sister Karen and my dad. We took cereals and amazing seafood like shrimps and lobsters for the supper. We went to the cashier to pay. On the road to go back home, we put some music and we sang. Then, I asked my dad to drive because I want to be a good driver one day and I think that with practice I will be. So, I sat on the driver chair and started the engine. The first minute, it was good: I was on a straight road. The curves were more and more difficult to deal with.
My father's eyes opened, and he called out for my sister Kelly and I to come to him. In a very serious and sad voice, he told us that he was very sick, and he was going to the Fort Wayne hospital. My mother told Kelly and I to help her pack some things for him, because he was going to be leaving soon. We helped her pack, keeping quiet because we did not want to interrupt the silence that had taken over the room.
I gasp for air, and I feel another kick in my stomach and I cry in pain. I can't stop crying and the pain gets worse with time. I look up and see my dad. He grabs me by my hair and punches me in my face. I feel blood fall out of my nose and the pain comes shooting through me. I start to shake and crawl towards the door.
I said to my dad, “Are you ready to go and have the time of your life?”
“How-do-ya like my new ride?” Step Daddy Cade asked when he saw me come out of the house.
The officers park their car, turn off the lights on the top of their car, and get out. They immediately make their way to my father, "Sir, would you mind come over here and talk to us?" They are saying to just talk, but I knew why they were really here, Dad would have to go with them. Dad looks at me, his eyes are now wide and filled with water, he looks terrified. "Sure" Dad chokes out. Mom looked relieved, she turns her attention to me and runs to me and wraps her arms around my body. "I'm sorry, baby girl" she says. "I never wanted you to be apart of this." Tears poured out of my eyes, and I sulked in Moms' arms. "You're freezing hunny!" she picked me up, took me inside and set me on the couch. She grabbed a warm blanket and wrapped it around the two of us and laid with me for the entire night. I waited for Dad to come back inside, but he never
Then the phone rang and Dad answered it. It was hard to tell what the conversation was about, it did not last long and Dad didn’t say much. When he hung up he was quiet. Then Mom asked, “Who was that, honey?” Blunt and to the point he said, “Grandma,” (his mom) “Grandpa got sick last night.” Suddenly I was not hungry any more. “What’s that mean?” Mom asked, taking the words right out of my mouth. Dad did not really know. All Grandma said was that Grandpa got up in the night, went to the bathroom, and then yelled for help before collapsing. She called 911 and an ambulance came and got him. From the hospital in Spirit Lake he was life-flighted to Sioux Falls.
It was Friday night, I took a shower, and one of my aunts came into the bathroom and told me that my dad was sick but he was going to be ok. She told me that so I did not worry. I finished taking a bath, and I immediately went to my daddy’s house to see what was going on. My dad was throwing-up blood, and he could not breath very well. One of my aunts cried and prayed at the same time. I felt worried because she only does that when something bad is going to happen. More people were trying to help my dad until the doctor came. Everybody cried, and I was confused because I thought it was just a stomachache. I asked one of my older brothers if my dad was going to be ok, but he did not answer my question and push me away. My body shock to see him dying, and I took his hand and told him not to give up. The only thing that I heard from him was, “Daughters go to auntie...
I never really thought about where my life was going. I always believed life took me where I wanted to go, I never thought that I was the one who took myself were I wanted to go. Once I entered high school I changed the way I thought. This is why I chose to go to college. I believe that college will give me the keys to unlock the doors of life. This way I can choose for myself where I go instead of someone choosing for me.
