Ever since I was little I was always obsessed with the United States Military. I loved everything about it and I would listen and learn about it whenever I could. Especially World War II because of my family members’ service. I was also in love with police work because of my father. My father is a Boardman detective who used to tell me about his job daily when I used to live at home. I have an interest in both careers and jobs, so I’ve decided to conclude with my career search. Earlier in my career search I wanted to join the United States Navy and shoot my shot with the United States Naval Special Operations Community. The FBI hostage rescue team or HRT, is an elite unit of FBI special agents who are called upon in many different scenarios. The United States call upon these responders during emergencies and other unique tactical scenarios. My father, a detective, has worked closely with men in the FBI. In fact, the Boardman police chief was the former FBI director. My father always reminds me of what the FBI loves in men and women applying. “They love former military experience and linguists. If you can speak another language fluently, you’re in if you meet the requirements.” So, what are the requirements actually? 1 According to fbiagentedu.org, “Candidates must be at least 23 years old, but younger than 37 at the time of appointment. Veterans, however, may be granted an age waiver if they are older than 37”. The age is just right for bachelor degree students. Are there any physical requirements in the FBI field?
