First off, we would like to say thank you to everyone who was able to help out during the time my mom was recovering from her concussion. She was a B+ patient haha I now know where I get my stubborness from, but she is back to her self whihc is great to see. For those that messaged me about helping during that time and I never responded I am really sorry. My brain fog lately has been an issue and with all the messages I got super overwhelmed and forgot who I did and didn’t speak with and who said they could and couldnt help. So for all of those who I forgot to respond I am really sorry. Right now we are still struggling with nursing, so all week we have nursing up until 3pm and nothing on the weekend. If there is anyone who is able to come
sit for a few hours so my mom can run errand we would really appreciate it. If you are able to come sit, depending on if the day is good or bad I may seem really quiet or blah. Don’t be alarmed if you see a different side of Taylor. I’ve had a few days that were super busy, so now my body will take all week to recover from all the fun I had. We all need a good excuse to watch endless hours of Christmas movies haha (I have plenty to choose from). So if you can help out, either contact my mom or I and we can go from there. We truly appreciate everyones support and prayers! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgivng! -Taylor
I would like to thank all of you for coming here today to help us, as a family, to heal, and to celebrate my mother’s life.
So thank you judge Ball, Vanessa, Sharon, Susan, Dan, the rest of the panel, my peers, and whoever else I’ve missed. You guys gave me the opportunity to live. And though the sun sets on this chapter of my journey and the dawn rises on the next one I will always be eternally grateful and indebted to you all.
Over the next few days, we took it easy. I went back to work. My mom was getting worse as each day went on with a few good days in between, of course. We ended up moving my niece Lexi’s birthday up a few days because we wanted to make sure my mom would be there for it. She, my mom, couldn’t talk as well anymore, but she made the effort to sing for her granddaughter. The day before my niece’s actual birthday, my mom passed away. Her wish had come true, too. She had wanted my dad to be the only one in the room when she went.
Billy Thompson and Sam Westfield were similar in many ways. Since a young age they both has excelled at sports and both loved more then anything, the sport of football. While growing up, the boys did not know each other and probably thought they would never have too. But all of that changed with the diagnosis.
We would also like to thank my wife's parents for all their efforts in organizing today. Their support has been invaluable, advice sound, and check-book largely available. I'd pe...
Growing up as an only child I made out pretty well. You almost can’t help but be spoiled by your parents in some way. And I must admit that I enjoyed it; my own room, T.V., computer, stereo, all the material possessions that I had. But there was one event in my life that would change the way that I looked at these things and realized that you can’t take these things for granted and that’s not what life is about.
Good afternoon, let me just start by saying that the kindness, support, friendship, and love extended to me and my family during this difficult time has really touched my heart- we are sincerely appreciative!
A calm crisp breeze circled my body as I sat emerged in my thoughts, hopes, and memories. The rough bark on which I sat reminded me of the rough road many people have traveled, only to end with something no one in human form can contemplate.
While trying to think about a time being distracted has affected me, I realized that while writing this essay my phone was constantly catching my attention. I purposely isolated myself in my basement apartment away from sister and her kids to have complete focus on the task at hand. I really want to deliver a well thought out essay, but my phone keeps ringing and I become more distracted.
SWISH! I turn my head to the right with a grin and see my mom cheering as I scored my first points of the season. The last game of the season I scored my first points of my middle school basketball “career.” Now sit back and relax as you read the story of how I got my first points in middle school basketball.
I scrambled away as fast as I could with my wounded legs, I fell of the side of the counter, and proceeded to walk/fall accross the floor. I fell and felt his hands come in contact with my arms and I started shoving his hands away from me, he's the reason I'm in this situation. I'm breathing hard and can feel the blood seeping out of my bandages, and I breathe harder. There's no air going into my needy lungs, no matter how much I breathe. I'm being burried alive by my own anxiety and fear of this single man standing in front of me.
I would like to thank my mom for all her help and support not just today but over the years and for giving me my “something old” which I'm wearing for luck today. I have a small gift from us for you.
Melanie woke up with nothing other than research on her mind. She knew that her last name was Easton and so was her mother's. What she didn't know was if that was her mother’s married name, or for that matter, if her mother had ever been married.
Wishing all of you the strength to move forward from your pain and the wisdom needed to discover the love inside of you. Sending all of you my hopes that you will spread the word and be the
I just wanted to thank you for all that you have done for me. I don't think you realize how much you inspire me and I am so proud of the person you've become and are still becoming. I understand you've been through a lot and you haven't made the best choices, but I can see that you have grown. Truthfully, I've known from the first time I met you to now, that you were a strong person.
