I was at school on Friday ready for the game and I acted like I was dunking on people. And my friend was on my team and we were getting so hype and talking about it.I was happy that we were playing because I love basketball. It was 10 minutes before we got out of school.I was ready for the game and I got all my math homework done.I was telling my friends about. He said “that he would score more points than me” and I said “bet a M Dollars” on it.We got out of school and got on the bus and we sit together. We were talking about how the other team was terrible and that we would beat them. He got off the bus and it was me and a couple of other kids, they asked “what were you talking about.”I muttered “basketball our basketball game.”They
Prompt: In 500 words or more, describe your collegiate experience thus far. How has this experience and the knowledge you've gained influenced what you plan to study? How have they influenced your decision to apply to St. Edward's?
The defense in this case will argue that the government was required to acquire a valid search warrant before obtaining their personal business records pursuant to the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution. The government will argue that they did not violate any of the individual’s Fourth Amendment rights by obtaining the defendant’s business records without a search warrant because the business records gathered was not protected under the Constitution.
Fresno, California Easterby Elementary School , recess time, and the day of “The Kickball War”. The time was a quarter till noon, teacher still teaching, as every student begins to pace their feet up and down from sitting in their seats with such excitement. As I stared straight at the clock waiting too see the long hand line up within the short hand to strike 12:00pm, Tj tap my shoulder pointing out the window nodding his head while leaning toward the basket with all the sports and recess equipment. I knew for a fact what that meant, so I occasionally gave him a huge smile and nodded my head back at him, while slowly moving my lips to say the words “Kick ball”. Seeing how the time was near to head out, shortly, and without any hesitation Tj tied his shoes to prepare to dash right out the door! I felt my heart racing with such
We were playing against the McAllen High School. I was a starter post on the team we were losing by 10 the first half of the game. We had 5 minutes of halftime the team and I were so upset that we were losing so we decided to pray to gain our confidence back. Once halftime was over starting five went back in we started well with defense once again, we stole some passes, but didn’t make all baskets to catch up to. Until last quarter I made 12 points and I was so happy to make 12 points for the to catch up against our opponent. Our team was still a few behind at the end of the game we didn’t win but I was proud of myself for making those 12 points for the team even if we did not win. My teammates and coaches were so proud of all of us not just me but of each one us for working together not to lose by a lot and not making ourselves look like fools. It was the first since tournaments that I realized that we had a great team that would support each other during a game. Success comes from people who believe in you and support you through things you go through. Success is nor found nor is it a miracle, success is created by you own self from being prepared of how to succeed in life and how you are going to get there because you cannot find success you have to make success find you in. Success is not miracle to be success is something thst
The time on the clock was 4:30 when the doorbell rang, fifteen minutes early. My three teamates were extremely anxious to get to the Center. I opened the front door and to my surprise the whole team was outside in their cars. They were all spiffed up in their shirts and ties, determined to win the game. As I threw my equipment in my friends car I was hoping that the next time I put it in there I would have a championship medal hanging around my neck.
We took the field in the second half. We won the face off this time. We went down the field, shot the ball, and the goalie saved it. He threw the ball up to his forward right in front of me, and I stepped up and hit the kid to prevent him from getting the pass and scoring. When I hit him, he fell straight to the ground and I couldn’t see where the ball was. It bounced and went in the net. I was so embarrassed at that point.
My team and I were warming up and shooting pucks. My friends and I were messing around while we were warming up. After about 5 minutes my coach blew the whistle, tweet! So then we all went over to the coach, and he told us all the drills we were going to do today. We were going to have to do six drills for the
so at game time I got on the court with my team warming up talking about the other
It runs through my veins and I cannot live without it. For a long time I did not know who I was but one day, through a basketball camp, a coach helped me realize what my identity was. He helped me figure out that i am a child of God. All my uncles played basketball along with both of my Grandfathers. For a long time I thought that basketball had to be the only thing to define me but, it does not.
Then came halftime we were excited with a 57-12 lead. We knew that the way the Kings were playing they were most definitely not winning. We just had to keep control of the ball and the Kings points. Coach was so happy he started crying. Halftime came to an end when we warmed up for the 2nd half. Coach had us warm up very different , he had us practice fumble recoveries and interceptions. We figured out why he was doing this because he wanted to play lockdown defense for the rest of the game. After warm ups we got in a huddle and yelled “Champs!” Finally it was time to play some more
At first, it wasn’t too hard, as the work load was rather miniscule for all of my classes. Around midterms the amount of schoolwork exceeded the amount of time I had available and has stayed there since. There are 168 hours in any given week, 50 of which I am working, and 17 hours are class time. That leaves me with 101 hours. Around 56 hours are used to sleep as I attempt to get around 8 hours of sleep a night. Down to 45 hours to drive places, eat, and socialize I realized I need to manage my time better. The biggest obstacle that challenged my success in college was spreading myself too
I can reach my goals and dreams through discipline. There are many goals that I intend to fulfill. At the end of my senior year I hope to have achieved a 3.75 grade point average. If I successfully obtain a 3.75, it will ultimately make it much easier for me to get into college and further my career. I also want to obtain this just because I do not set many difficult goals for myself, so when I do, I feel that I must complete the goal successfully. I have always had the goal of becoming a Wildcat at the University of Kentucky. Nearly my entire family (on my father's side) has at some point attended the university, therefore, feel that I must attend the university as well.
We played more baseball this time I did hit a homerun. Later, Chris went to my house to get a scooter, afterward, Chris had a stupid idea of doing a bottle flip on top of the dugout and got it stuck. So to get it down he got the broom and the baseball bat stuck on top of the dugout.
I got on to the bus as fast as I could. I can’t believe we were going to play our rivals for the championship. We were on our way to go to Lake City to play the Titans. It seemed that we were missing somebody but we weren’t. Coach took a head count of the team and we all were on the bus accept for Alex, he broke his foot earlier in the season. Alex and his mom were following us in her van. When Alex got hurt we were lucky to make it to the championship. Alex was our star running back. Him and I were unstoppable when we were about to score. Alex and I are the best of friends. We have been friends since fourth grade. I told him to try football and he did, but he liked soccer. We made a deal I went out for soccer for a year, but he had to go out for football. Ever since he has went out for football. Alex and I have gone out for football for four years and they have been the best four years ever. The bus ride took forever, it seemed like it. The bus so noisy everybody had to yell to be heard. The coach couldn’t even hear the bus driver, and he was right next to the bus driver. We were finally there in Lake City. When we got into the locker room coach said, “Win or lose I want you to play your heart out and no matter what we will leave with our heads held high”. We meet in the hall and somebody on the other team says something nasty, they said, “You guys are going down today”. I wished everybody “good luck today” and “make the better team
...new classes, I soon realized what would be the biggest challenge of college: deciding on a major. Yes, I am one of those people who started college without first declaring a major. I soon heard every question, suggestion, and response regarding possible options. I even began concocting false majors to throw some people off. Large-Scale Demolition was a crowd favorite.
