One of the many things I enjoy doing is cleaning my car. Others see this as a grueling and endless task with no benefits. I clean my car as a way to de-stress and I like the satisfaction of having a clean car. It helps me de-stress because I clean my car early in the morning around 9 or 10 o'clock when there is no one on the street. I project myself as a neat and organized person and my car, or rather my parent’s car, reflects that. Would you sit in a car with empty bottles lying around, crumbs on the seat covers, gas bills floating around and a nasty rotten egg smell coming from under the seats? My answer would be “no” and I would rather take public transportation than sit in that car. People fill their cars with trash and dirt, never wanting to clean it, and treating it like a garbage bin. I know we all struggle with keeping our car clean, I do as well. We all have that quick snack before starting work or school. We pick up that …show more content…
Another tip is to leave the rims for last as these places accumulate a lot of dirt. This is an excellent form of exercise and exercise helps reduce stress. Take a garden hose and wash the car with water until all the soap is washed off. Remember to close all the doors and windows of the car, so water does not go inside. Finally, wait until the car mats are completely dry and put them back in the car. By now, if your car mats are not dry, use this time to take a break come back in a while and put the mats in the car. Cleaning a car is a therapeutic act, by repeating the same motion continuously is an act of meditation, it is very beneficial for the body, physically and mentally. Now you got yourself a clean car that is polished and sparkling from the outside, neat and sanitized from the inside. One important reminder is do not lock yourself out of the car, I have done it multiple times, have a spare key
Begin by parking your car on a flat surface; make sure the car is in park position.
My wife drives a Nissan Altima that gets 32 miles a gallon and I motor around in a Maxima that faithfully achieves 28. My spouse and I habitually recycle our paper, glass and metal county trash and keep it all separate from our town-collected “other garbage.” We conscientiously maintain our property in a neat manner and keep our shrubs and bushes trimmed and our lawn well manicured. Like the plurality of Americans, we respect the environment and try our best to protect it.
Automobiles play an essential role in American society. As if being the major means of transportation was not impressive enough, automotives can be seen on T.V., in movies, in magazines, and can sometimes be indicative of a person’s wealth and social status. On average, Americans drive nearly 40 miles and drive for just over 50 minutes driving per person per day (http://www.bts.gov). That means a person spends roughly one-sixteenth of a day driving. It would make sense, then, to make such an essential part of society as efficient, cost effective, and clean as possible. However, that is not the case. As the years have passed cars have actually begun to move away from efficiency. Hawken writes, “[The automobile] design process has made cars ever heavier, more complex, and usually costlier. These are all unmistakable signs that automaking has beco...
Sloppy People,” Suzanne Britt discusses the advantage and the disadvantage of either being sloppy or neat people. Britt, being a sloppy person, defends the sloppy people by showing the truth between neat and lazy people. In the beginning of her essay, Britt express, “The distinction is, as always, moral. Neat people are lazier and meaner than sloppy people” (Britt pg. 314). Britt explains that sloppy people are sloppy but there is a reason why, they treasure everything that they own unlike the neat people. Sloppy are the people who organize their whole place, such as putting his or her’s book in alphabetic order; they also would not make their own bed, just because they are lazy. Britt, being a sloppy person, also criticizes the neat people in “Neat People vs. Sloppy People.” In the middle of her essay, Britt says that, “Neat people are bums and clods at heart. They have cavalier attitudes toward possessions, including family heirlooms. Everything is just another dust-catcher to them”(Britt 315). Britt expresses through her words that neat do not care about how they got there, they just want the quality. Readers can see that she does not like neat people because perhaps she was or knew someone that had the same characteristics. In the end of the essay, she said, “Neat people operate on two unvarying principles: Never handle any item twice, and throw everything away.” After reading that sentence, the readers can be informed that you would or should not
Also, it can satisfy a persons stress level by focusing on the activity. Sometimes not playing sports, but just relaxing can be satisfying. Relaxing and not working can give a person time to think, breathe, and to recuperate. Relaxing is a very satisfying activity. Another activity that is satisfying is sleeping.
When I turned twenty-two I was excited to purchase my first car, I had been saving for 5 years in order to obtain the car of my dreams. I knew exactly what I wanted, all the “bells and whistles”, and I knew exactly what I was willing to pay and not a penny more. I thought I had a strong knowledge of the sales and pricing of the particular car I was hoping to buy, because I had done my research for weeks browsing and comparing the Sunday car ads. I was assured that my knowledge of the sales would get me a fair price and a great deal. However, my overconfidence and naivety, in the “creepy” sales tactics used by the dealership, made me unaware of the three hour nightmare that was about to ensue; leaving me brokenhearted, angry and vowing to never step foot on a car lot again.

Car servicing and its different types If you really care about the vehicle safety, book a car upkeep service at least once in a year. Most auto repair garages mostly offer three different services.
Once your car turns 3-years-old people will notice whether you've taken good care of it. This is why general maintenance, including hand washing your car, is so important. After all, you want your car glistening in the sun so it retains its value for when you're ready to trade it in for a new vehicle since people will decide whether they want to buy it simply based on how it looks. Taking it through a car wash or simply thinking the rain will keep it clean won't work.
The benefits of good nutrition are important for everyone at home and at work. Good health begins with a good breakfast. People who have a morning meal are more likely to take in more vitamins and minerals, and much less fat and cholesterol. (WebMD, 2008) The effect is often a leaner body and less chance of overeating and going to the vending machine during work hours. Researchers at the 2003 American Heart Association conference reported that breakfast eaters have a lower chance of being obese and getting diabetes. Another study in the International Journal of Food Science and Nutrition concluded that people that eat breakfast cereal daily feel better both physically and mentally compared to the people who almost never ate cereal for breakfast. A Web MD article explains “To get the full benefits of breakfast, the Mayo Clinic recommends a meal with carbohydrates, protein, and a small amount of fat. They say that because no single food gives you all of the nutrients you need, eating a variety of foods is essential to good health.” Even if an employee does not have time to eat before work, because they are rushing to be on time or their morning consists of dealing with children, bringing a breakfast that they can eat as soon as they get to work would be a healthy habit to get into. Multi- tasking is possible when eating cereal, fruit and nuts at the same time as checking voicemail or emails. Good nutrition needs to continue throughout the day. Fruits and vegetables, healthy snacks, drinking water or tea to stay hydrated, and eating dairy products all add to well-balanced meals. For example, eating healthy dinners with fish two times a week can vastly improve a person’s well-being because fish has omega 3 fatty acids.
There are more than one million dollars wasted on washing your cars in car washes rather than washing your car by hand. Many people think that car washes are more productive than washing your cars at home by hand. They say that it shouldn’t matter to them if whether not I wash my car here or there. But what they did not know is that car washes waste 10 gallons of water per minute, and if most car washes take 20-25 minutes they are wasting more than two hundred gallons of water per car. So a more productive way to wash your car is by hand, but if you want to begin you need to go through steps to wash your car properly.

According to the United States Census Bureau, there are approximately 250 million people in the United States. Having knowledge that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, 35-40 percent of Americans skip breakfast. Without breakfast, some people become less able to do physical work in the late morning hours and some students do not perform well in the classroom. When one skips breakfast, their body shuts down their metabolism in an attempt to preserve what it contains, which causes drowsiness. Since metabolism accounts for approximately 70 percent of the body’s energy expenditure, the consumption of a healthy first meal of the day is encouraged. There are many reasons why breakfast should be a part of people’s everyday diet, but some people just do not have time to eat breakfast.
