I am Robert Peck. I am 12 years of age. I decide to cut school after this boy at school makes fun of me because of my clothes during recess. This one time, I was coming home from school and I found one of my neighbors cows in the middle of giving birth. She was having trouble so I tried several times to pull the baby cow out but I couldn’t. So I took my pants off and tied one leg around the calf’s head and the other around its neck. The calf soon comes out but then the mother was still in trouble. She is having trouble breathing. I shoved my hand way down the cow’s throat and I find a goiter. I try to pull the ball out, but instead she bites me and drags me all over the countryside. I wake up and Mr. Tanner, the neighbor, is carrying me
Tara and I got scratched up by the roosters all around our arms and torso from their sharp talons. Tending the chickens was quite a challenge but we managed to make it through.Late night a loud knock disturbed the silence inside waking me and Tara from our slumber. I open the door only to see 3 police officers with torches asking us to step
When they finally found me the next morning sleeping in the barn I thought for sure I was going to be beaten within an inch of my life. I was utterly amazed when they beat me lightly and were told to take care of me so as not to become ill.
One day I was walking through the meadow, feeling very sad and lonely. I wanted a friend to spend time with. My mother sent me out to play, but I couldn't find anyone to play with. I looked everywhere until I came to a house made out of straw. I knocked on the straw door, and a little pig answered and told me to go away! I thought that was very rude of him. I told the little pig that I wanted to come inside and play. The little pig said, "Not by the hairs of my chinny chin chin!" I was so sad. Just as I was about to walk away my dumb allergies started acting up. I sneezed so hard that I blew the house down. The little pig ran away and I ran after him, trying to tell him I was sorry.
My brother and I push the rusty metal of the way and we climb through the hole and finally we start running. The guy starts chasing us then my brother and I climb over a fence and run into the forest. When me and my brother go into the forest we find this dog. My brother say’s it’s so cute then I say do you want to keep him and my brother say’s yes. So we start walking with the dog then we see the dust and we try to find a place to hide. Then the dog runs away and my brother and “I say comeback.”
One nice and warm summer day my father took me to a man. He calls himself Dr. Gordon. Dr. Gordon wanted me to think that I wasn't a dolphin, and this idea was insane. So I refused. I wasnt going to give up my dream, my reality, just because some person I dont know wants me to. This went on for about three years every single week, and I hated every single second of it. So I ran, I know I was 14, and I knew this wasn't appropriate for someone my age. Who knows it could just be Dr. Gordon's lies. Well anyways I ran, I didn't look back, but I saw him again. The man, and he looked at me and said "Come here", and so I
I am Allan Christopher Sherman, I am the son of Pamela Sherman and Leroy Sherman and the brother to Chelsea Sherman. I was born and raised in Macon, Georgia at The Medical Center of Central Georgia at 4:20am on December 20, 1996. I attended Rosa Taylor elementary school from Kindergarten to Fifth grade. Rosa Taylor is where I learned to play chess and after a couple of year I was good enough to try out for The Macon Chess club. The first two times I tried out I didn’t make the team because I would always make it to the last eight games and end up losing.
One day my momma took me and my sister to her God Mother’s house, meanwhile me and Makenzie was playing a game on my phone. Makenzie and I got to Kizzy’s God Mother’s house. Kizzy and I got out of the car and said, “Bye Momma”. Our momma, “Bye guys, see you later”. Kizzy and I went in her God Mom’s house. One hour later Kizzy asked, “Jeffery, do you want to go outside?” I said, “Sure”. When Kizzy and I got outside, Kizzy asked “Jeffery can you teach me how to ride a bike?” I said no problem.
Well, who really am I? Am I rude, strict or obnoxious? Or am I loving and caring? Think and know me better.

Compared to the beginning of the year, I believe I have improved as a writer. I also think that my writing style has changed. For example this year I have learnt how to cite sources and direct quotes properly. In my “Last Rung on the Ladder” essay, I used to place a period inside the direct quote like in this example, “‘...have had a child.’ (King,15 ).” I have also improved on introducing the quotes. I do not say “the following quote shows…” anymore either. Now I usually talk about what the quote is about then present the quote. Another thing I have improved on is transitions between paragraphs. I used to say, “the first reason is …, the second reason is …” and so on. Now I connect my previous paragraph to the next one so that is is more
There are many things that have molded me into the person I am today such as being born into a family with four children. With three siblings, I have been forced to be able to work out problems from stealing each other’s toys to having to rush to the emergency room to get stiches because my brother chased me around the house and I tripped. My mother, father, brother, and two sisters were all born in Pennsylvania and I am the odd ball and I was born in Adrian, Michigan. From when I was a child I always loved being involved with sports because of my competitive nature. I grew up playing soccer and having success with that but then my love changed and I began playing lacrosse and football. I started playing lacrosse in middle school and played
The first time my sister brought her boyfriend home, I showered her bedroom with filthy, smelly clothes, including her undergarments. Imagine her surprise when she opened her door and laid eyes upon her own dirty laundry. I knew she’d be mad, what I didn’t know was that she would react like a teased bull chasing a red cape. She charged at me like I was a vault in the Olympics, and she was one point away from the gold. Suddenly out of nowhere came a broom handle to my abdomen. Broom abuse or not, I couldn’t stop laughing.
Yesterday I had told every kid in the neighborhood about my new gecko. I was so excited that went door to door asking people if they wanted to come and take a look. Almost everybody in the neighborhood was going to come over except for Izzy. Izzy was one of the most sassiest person I had ever met. And when I asked her she said she wouldn't. But I had a feeling she would come and it could only mean trouble. Big trouble.
"Thank you, but you have given me more than money can buy. Take that money and enjoy yourselves." With that, Mr. Johnson left the couple to talk with his spouse.
I am sentimental, out-going, indecisive, understanding, curious, naive, lazy, and young. I want to be ... , well a lot of things, and growing is discovering what they are. I feel people cannot see the potential within, although there is no one to blame but myself. I look to others for approval instead of to myself. I aim to please; it leads to approval. I don’t like to discuss my faults; I pity myself.
