Today was like no other. Peter and I boarded the magnificent RMS Titanic at Southampton, England in quite the frozen weather. I, of course, had my second favorite wedding gift draped around my shoulders, my wool shawl that Peter’s mother placed in my care. Peter later told me that it was a great family heirloom. My favorite wedding gift, however, was the chance to embark on a journey aboard this magnificent vessel. "The Ship of Dreams" they said. Peter had clutched my arm to make sure that we stayed near each other, but I managed to wriggle my right arm free so that I could wave farewell to my mother and his parents. Tears played at my cheeks and, from what I could see, my mother was also beginning to turn red like she does when she cries. Peter took one look at me, smiled, then cupped my face in his hands and swept the tears …show more content…
Seeing as though Mrs. Strauss is many years our senior, Mrs. Astor and I carried on lively conversation most of the time while Mrs. Strauss occasionally gave her input on the subject matter. At one point a statement from Mrs. Astor threw me into a fit of uncontrollable laughter; I believe we were talking of things we said as children, but I do not quite remember the exacts. The men brought out their bold sides when Mr. Astor brought out his brandy. I must admit, Peter sure can drink! Within twenty minutes of the bottle being opened, over half of it had been consumed. Peter later confided in me that he had at least four reasonable glasses of brandy. Currently he is lying in bed, awaiting sleep. I dread seeing him as ill as he seems, but he brought it upon himself. Two hours and an empty brandy bottle later, Peter started feeling sickly so I decided we were going back to our cabin where I would spend the rest of the day lounging and reading while Peter occasionally awoke in need of a glass of

I had just gotten hired by the New York City Fire Department, I was working the morning shift when a call when out for a fire in a taxpayer with possible people trapped. Since I was on the ladder company our primary job was to find the possible trapped victims. We got on the road and immediately could smell the smoke, then dispatch came over radio and said police are on location reporting a 10-75,which is a working fire, and could see visible people trapped. Captain Merk yelled to the back “prepare to go in.” We arrived on scene and we could here people yelling about someone trapped on the 2nd floor. My partner and I entered structure thru the back and proceeded up the stairs. We made our way thru the hallway checking every door we came upon. We got to the end of the hallway and could hear someone screaming and coughing from the last door on the left hand side. We made our way into the room and my partner and I started searching for the victim. Over the radio we could hear the battalion chief calling for the 2nd alarm; the fire was getting worse. We kept searching our area but couldn’t hear the screaming or coughing anymore as we sped up our search we made our way into the bathroom and there she was laying on the floor by the window. My partner and I picked her up and started making our way out of the building. We made it to the bottom of the stairs when the floor started to give way. We fell to the ground and I could feel something pop in my knee. As we regained our composer we stood up with the victim and made our way to the front of the buildings where EMS was waiting. The Emt’s took her, put her on oxygen, put her on the stretcher, and loaded her in the ambulance. I told the Ems supervisor that when I fell I felt something pop in my knee. He told me to get in the ambulance that was about to leave. I got into the back with the girl I had just rescue…how ironic. On our way to the hospital the girl had started to regain consciousness and started to come back around. Of course she was scared and didn’t know what was going on.

Monday March, 31 2014 "Daddy how could you give that child my number?!" I whined on the phone to my dad, Avery Samuel's. Its Monday, 2 weeks since that ho- I'm sorry Haley, had asked me to be her brides maid. I've been having second thoughts about agreeing to this shit.
As I was leaning on the railing of the upstairs balcony of our house in Boston, I heard Mary, my maid, say, “Miss, your parents want you downstairs. They want you to change into your silk dress.” I sighed as we headed inside, thinking, “First, why do they want me downstairs? Also, why am I supposed to change?” Once Mary had helped me dress, I walked downstairs, where Mother, Father, and a young, handsome man dressed in a British uniform, sat in the living room.
“-Is your biggest adversary, I know,” I cut her off and brushed my hands down the front of my dress. I refused to let Izzy retrogress back into the unhappy girl she was just minutes ago. I also had given up on trying to redress the injury Gertrude left on Izzy all those unforgotten years ago. “But what you fail to realize is that sometimes you tend to augment the situation.” “Augment?”

Jacob awoke in high spirits. He turned to give his bride a kiss and is horrified by what he sees. “Dear God, what have I done?” Grappling with his thoughts he tried to remember everything about last night. It was dark when he came to Rachel to consummate their marriage; his mind fogged from partying and drinking wine.
An older girl then came over, after the boy was pulled out of the water, and took him away but Brittany said they didn't speak to any parents or adults.
How much of my money do you want? Like I've said... 70%. I've had enough of your never-ending apologies.
How could you Gwendolen even consider marrying Earnest? You believe a girl should be able to fall in love and marry any man of her choice, regardless of his social status. But I am the one who will decide whom you marry and when you are ready to marry, you shall have no say in it. Love is not a factor in marriage, nor is the opinion of the children. It is even acceptable for a young woman not to even meet her future husband before marriage.
