Sports play a very important role in my life ever since I could walk. My interests in playing sports began at the age of three as my parents signed me up for soccer, flag football, basketball, and lacrosse. First grade started my competitive edge as I began to play for travel teams in various sport tournaments. This competitive edge transferred from the sports field to the classroom having teachers and coaches helping me be the best I can be. Sports have continually well-shaped and defined my character by teaching me how to accept a win from working hard, also how a loss is an opportunity to learn and fix mistakes.
The television was shining bright as the sun in the dark family room, on a nice Saturday afternoon in the mountains of Durango, Colorado. It was barley 7:20 in the evening, on June 19th, 2016 when Barack Obama was still president and the Zika virus was spreading around faster than memes. “Blocked by James!” suddenly is yelled on the the bright television in the dark family room. Lebron James just blocked Andre Iguodala off the backboard. At this moment, all the Golden State Warriors fans in the dark family room erupted in anger, confusion, and stress. My mom and I both yelled “Let’s go!”.
Ever since I have been a child I have always loved basketball.I spent hours each day playing basketball. I dreamt of playing at the TD Garden as a member of the Boston Celtics against their bitter Eastern Conference foe Cleveland Cavaliers led by LeBron James. All throughout middle school I would ignore everyone when they told me that I couldn't make it to the NBA.
As long as you know how to dribble the ball and shoot, you can already play the basics of the game. Dribbling is so easy to learn, you can even learn it by just watching how it is done on YouTube or watch some NBA game highlights. Shooting is also easy to perform, although you need a lot of practice to hit it like the GODS of shooting, like Ray Allen or Stephen Curry. Simply throw the ball into the ring and watch it sink in. Another one is defense. Who says that playing defense is difficult? If you are playing against a good player, maybe it is. However, its fundamentals are easy to learn. You just have to stand in front of a player, use your body to block his or her way, and use your arm in a legal way to prevent him from shooting or passing the ball. If you're really bad at dribbling maybe you're good at shooting. There was a survey in Minnesota Amateur Sports commission on a high school and the results were surprising. Over 500,000 people said they played this sport and said that basketball is one of the easiest sport there

Being part of the basketball clique in high school helped me learn the intrapersonal and social communication skills I use today. As a child playing basketball was my favorite activity or hobby. It's also the way I met a lot of my good friends that I have now. All my close friends I have met. I have met them through playing basketball.. Whether they were on my team, the opposing team or just fans in the crowd who admired my play. Not only has basketball helped me gain friends, but basketball also taught me a lot about life. There are many aspects of life that coincide with basketball. For instance basketball is a team game and an individual game. Like in life you have to work together with other people. The communication skills I learned from basketball helped me communicate with friends, girlfriends, parents and bosses at work.
Ever since I was a little boy, about eight years old or so, I had an extreme passion for the sport of basketball. On weekends, I would wake up in the morning, eat a bowl of frosted flakes or cheerios, put on basketball shorts and then go in my driveway to shoot around. I would be out there for hours just shooting around or playing with some random kids that I would occasionally see walking around my neighborhood. This was satisfaction to me, but even better was playing on multiple public teams and not just playing in my driveway every day. In elementary school, I played in a recreational league, just like almost every other kid who tries out basketball when they were younger. This was fun and all but it was nothing too serious. There were never any practices, it was just one or two unorganized games per week. I never took
Basketball a sport that is played throughout the whole world. When playing this sport all you need is a ball and basket. Though the basket does have to be a certain height kids play it in their classroom or outside. What I mean by this is that kids and even adults in the office treat a trash can as a basket and whatever their trash is as a ball. I got interested in this sport when I was in middle school in eighth grade moving on to high school. I was never interested in basketball until I played it with a group of kids who today are still my friends.
First, there are a variety of things that I enjoy in life, many of which, I am the primary participant, but for basketball, the love can be different. Basketball is one of the most popular sports in America. One has to have to have good aim to shoot, good jumping skills to rebound, you have to be quick and have great ball handling skills. The best thing that I like about this sport is that you could break down the game into tons of statistics that truly bring something to the table because samples are usually good enough unlike many other sports. I loved that its faced paced; and the fact that it is not dominated by one position. Any player can be the top scorer at any given sporting event on the beginning or professional level. The game gives
